京都で巡る🇫🇷アンティーク、古道具と珈琲店☕ みたらし団子と老舗和菓子|購入品紹介|地元で人気のグルメ|京都カフェ|京都観光

Hello , KYOTO Goshokita & Nishijin . As we gradually feel the approach of winter, the changing colors of the trees are a beautiful season. 🍂 This time, we’ll be touring the shops in the Goshokita and Nishijin areas of Kyoto. We ‘ve found all of these wonderful shops that I wholeheartedly recommend, so I hope you enjoy your visit to the end. ☺ Our first stop was a cafe near the Kamo River. It’s a very popular cafe, so we made a reservation. The aroma of coffee wafted through the air . We enjoyed the coffee carefully crafted by the owners. Even the wait for the carefully brewed coffee was enjoyable. The BRAZIL had a refreshing taste! Since we were there, we also tried their popular toast. The sweet and salty flavor of the cheese and honey was addictive! We added milk to the SON❣ It was delicious, thank you for the meal. After a stroll along the Kamo River, we visited an antique shop. It featured European antiques and brocante, mainly from France. We immediately discovered a lovely cafe au lait ball! I had previously encountered this shop at the Heian Flea Market and had been wanting to visit for a while. The simple space is filled with high-quality European antiques. They also had some items they’d just purchased in France. The owner was very friendly and explained everything to me, and now I’ve added another shop to my wishlist. Thank you! Now, let’s head to lunch. We visited a Western-style restaurant near Shimogamo Shrine just before it opened. This long-established restaurant was founded in 1958. The turnip and clam soup was rich in the gentle sweetness of the turnip. The fried shrimp was plump and delicious. The demi-glace sauce was light. Everything was delicious! The food was authentic, yet somehow homey and gentle. This is a restaurant loved by locals. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. We then visited Shimogamo Shrine, which was nearby , and headed to an antique shop right next to Tadasu no Mori. When I visited the shop, I was greeted by a space even more beautiful than I’d imagined! They sell antiques from Japan and Scandinavia, as well as wildflowers. The potted wildflowers exude a simple yet dignified elegance. They complement the antique tools on display beautifully. The decorative flowers are also elegant, and I’d love to try some myself. The simple yet sophisticated space was a feast for the eyes. Thank you very much. Next, I headed to a teahouse near Shimogamo Shrine in search of mitarashi dango. The shop’s signature item is “Kamo Mitarashi Dango.” These temple sweets are inspired by the bubbles rising from the Mitarashi Pond in the Shimogamo Shrine grounds. While you can eat them in the shop, I’ll have them for takeout today. I’ll enjoy them at home! The placement of one of the five dango pieces, separated by a space, represents the human body. It’s said to ward off evil spirits. The chewy texture and exquisitely sweet sauce are also fantastic! Today, I’ll be touring the shops in the Murasakino and Nishijin areas. Our first stop was an antiques shop located in a detached building in Funaoka Onsen, a nationally registered tangible cultural property. It deals in antiques and curios. The second floor space feels more like a gallery than a shop, making you feel like you’re browsing artwork. Each item, carefully selected by the owner’s discerning eye, is substantial . While I can’t fully understand the ins and outs of antiques , when I find something that moves me , I cherish the experience and the time I spend there. Thank you. Next, let’s stop by a shop we found during our stroll. Tucked away in a residential area, it’s a shop selling fragrances and Moroccan goods. They offer a wide variety of unique scents , including those inspired by movies and tarot cards, as well as scents based on black tea, green tea, and Kyoto bancha tea . The aroma ceramics are delightful and cute. I bought a few while listening to their story about perfumery. Thank you. Now, I’m feeling hungry. Time for lunch. I was looking for delicious vegetables, so I went to this restaurant. They serve dishes made with pesticide-free and organically grown vegetables. The hamburger steak was flavored with the soft, tender sweetness of burdock root. The generous serving of vegetables was a delight, a boon for the body— it was also packed with vegetables! The spice level was just right, and above all, the vegetables were delicious! It was delicious, thank you for the meal. Next, I visited a gallery I’d been wanting to visit. Located near Kenkun Shrine, this gallery was created by owner Suzuki, who carefully renovated a Kyoto townhouse. The space is tranquil, sophisticated, and beautiful. When I visited, there was an exhibition by clavichord maker Teru Uchida. Apparently, it was made from recycled wood salvaged from the old floors of Kankakari. Perhaps that’s why the space exudes such beauty—a space that seems to blend seamlessly with the surroundings. It’s a space you’ll want to experience with all five senses , as if you could hear a beautiful melody coming from somewhere . Finally, I decided to pick up some Japanese sweets to go before heading home. This shop was recommended to me when I visited Cafe Sorekara. I made a reservation, eager to try their Japanese sweets. When I arrived in the evening, most of the top-quality confections were sold out. So, I headed home, excited to try them! I asked them to choose a seasonal Japanese sweet. They ‘d pair perfectly with matcha, and I’d definitely like to return. What’s more, their elegant sweetness! Next, I’ll briefly introduce my purchases. I bought this cafe au lait bowl from Pebble. I love the cute design and its small size. It’s love at first sight…♡ Apparently , this is a French measuring cup. I tried putting cutlery in it. So good!😊 I also purchased these three items from GOLCONDA. The stylish blue box contained a rose geranium-scented gift.♡ A fragrance collection inspired by the film “Ask Rikyu.” The aroma infused into the aroma ceramic shaped Japanese sweets… a secret pleasure. Thank you for watching until the end. Please subscribe to the channel and rate it highly. Thank you for watching! Hope to see you soon, have a wonderful winter⛄
