2025 Hotel Vista To Hiroshima Hondori Shopping Street To The Peace Memorial Museum Walking Tour.

Thank you for stopping by and welcome to the channel. So, we’re leaving Hotel Vista in Hiroshima and going to walk towards the Peace Memorial Park. That’s our Yeah, our hotel’s right there. Hotel Beach. And it’s within walking distance to a lot of the attractions in Hiroshima. So, we found there’s a lot of restaurants and dessert shops in Japan. Looks like cheesecake or something. Want to try? Oh, that’s a curry, I think. What’s this burger? 780. Street car. It’s a newer version street car. These ones too. And we found Hiroshima not to be as crowded as Osaka and Tokyo. We’ll be walking towards Hondori Street, which is Hiroshima’s main shopping street. So, we’re at the corner of Bandandon Street and Chu Dori Avenue. We’re going to cross the street, walk along Kenzai Street. Sorry for the misprononunciation of the street names. department store. I thought they had something in here. Or maybe it was a secondhand electronic store. You can go around to the end and then go Sun Curry. I think it’s this street. You go to the end, the very end. Then on the sixth floor, they got that place where they sell the uh on the sixth floor where they sell the dice. Another dollar store more shopping down there, too. So, here we are at Andori Shopping Street. I like it here cuz if it rains, it’s covered. I saw on a lot of YouTube videos, they say the majority of the people here walk on the left side of the sidewalk or walkway street, but I found this is not the case. As you could see in the video, we found it all depends on what city you are in and what area. In a lot of cases, just a freefor-all and people are just walking on any side of the walkway or sidewalk. It’s like in North America, we tend to walk on the right side of the sidewalk or walkway, but a lot of people don’t care and they walk on any side just like here. So, you’ll see in the video, I tend to forget that I’m in Japan and I’ll be walking on the right side of the walkway. Oh, that’s that fish thing they sell here. And it’s roughly 3:00 in the afternoon and it’s not very busy. So we found in the evening it gets a lot busier here. Oh yeah. Inferno stores aren’t open. Okay. Cream machines. Heat. Heat. Told station games. Huh? Got to go in there, huh? What? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Line up for this place must be good. I know must be good. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. So you’ll see the pedestrian light flashing at the traffic light. So that’s warning you the light’s going to change. So in Japan, the majority of the people do not jaywalk. You’re you’re the one that told me not to hear the crossing of the cars coming. Oh, this is the store. Mom San Marino. Is it in there? No, it’s in Ginsa. I don’t know what they got. Take a look later. They were at the other place. Yeah. No, street food here. Yeah. Heat. What is this? Heat. Heat. Where this guy stops? Oh my god. And there’s a univer Mr. Donut. Heat up here. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Country and C. What’s that? And I really like it. country and cat. I rather get her I’d rather get her something that says music store. Yellow submarine. Hobby station looks like video game. Yeah, but imagine that 2 years old. No card. How much further? This looks good. Oh, it’s a food court. end on the sixth floor. That’s all this stuff. Oh yeah. So across the street on the other side of the bridge is the Peace Memorial Park. So if you stay on this side of the bridge and go right and walk up the path is the atomic bomb dome. We’re going to cross the bridge first and go to the Peace Memorial Park and Museum. I guess that’s where you catch the boat. Going to Where’s she going? So, my mother was born in Canada, but during the war as a little girl, she went back to Japan. So, she grew up in a small town just outside of Osaka. Well, she would tell me some stories about growing up in Japan during the war. So, it’s kind of emotional for me to be here. It’s there. The dome’s there. Oh, okay. Yeah, the museum. Go to museum first that you can walk by anytime. You can go at night. That’s the dome. They dropped the atomic bomb that survived one of the only structures that survived the nuclear blast. Imagine all the other buildings got demolished except for that. There’s only a couple. Fuel. What am I doing? Call for your atomic bomb victims. Oh, that’s the eternal flame, right? Yeah, lot of people here. What time is it? Four. Wonder what time they close. Walking tours. What do you want to do with my dog? In the other section, there’s the building where you build the origami. See, there’s the fling. Cool. Hall for the atomic bomb victims. preserving the past. Oh, no camera inside. They had the names of the people that passed away. So, for respect for them and their families, they don’t want you recording inside. Welcome to Peace. Peace Memorial Park belongs to all of us. Help us keep the park clean. Heat. Heat. No, you go through there. Go in here. Goes up there, I guess. I don’t know. You got to pay to get in. How much? It’s not not expensive. each.
