Road to Suncheon Bay Wetland, Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, South Korea What kind of place is this before we go camping? In December, the beginning of winter, I came to a place where I could see migratory birds along with the reed fields. The black-faced crane, a natural monument, has settled in Suncheon Bay to spend the winter. I couldn’t miss this place, where migratory birds, the sound of the wind, and the reed fields all come together, before winter deepened. What are the swaying reeds looking at, so hazy? Where are the birds, leisurely lined up, heading? The fading sunset is so beautiful, it’s almost a shame. The night I traveled to Suncheon, the first heavy snowfall fell. I try to console myself by looking at the piled white snow, regretting not being able to go camping with the first snow. The highland scenery is beautiful, so I’d like to go up there, but my non-4WD car doesn’t seem to be up to the task. The scenery is nice, but safety is paramount in winter. It’s a different world overnight. Shall we take a look at the scenery here, which will become our home today? It seems like a perfect place to soothe the regret of not being able to go snow camping for the first time. It’s cold, so I need to hurry up and build a cabin and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. OkHee, rest somewhere warm~ This thought always comes to mind when I open the curtains and look out the window. I’m glad I installed the large window☺️ I’m installing a wood-burning stove to keep me warm while I work hard today. What makes the world truly wonderful is that what you think in your head becomes action. Looking at the large windows on the truck and the wood-burning stove being easily lit, it makes sense. We need to consider two boxes of firewood for tomorrow and the draft coming through the window 😅 Now that we’re somewhat warm and ready, should we call OkHee? OkHee is excited. Now that all the bad smoke has cleared, I’ll close the door. With Christmas coming up in about two weeks, I’m planning to decorate the truck. Thanks to the wood stove, the air inside quickly warmed up. I even prepared a tablecloth with a pretty Christmas pattern. It’s such a cute mini Christmas village. I’m going to make a cloth cover because all the clutter is too obvious. Sweet potatoes are always on standby in the winter😄 It might be inconvenient because it’s not fixed like a regular camper van, I think everything has its pros and cons, because you can change it depending on your mood and the season. I’m going to pick up some branches and make a Christmas tree. Aren’t you curious about the outcome? Do you remember waiting in front of the steamer with your hands in your pockets in the winter? I also have some king dumplings waiting to be eaten with dinner. (Green onion) (Onion) Today’s menu is hot seafood jjambbong. Actually, I have a skin condition on my hands, so I’m trying to avoid using flour. I think once a week is okay, right? 😅 While the jjambbong was cooking, the dumplings were also deliciously steamed. I think there’s nothing better than a hot bowl of soup on a cold winter day. When I come to a place like this and eat delicious food, I wonder what other happiness there is in the world. OkHee looks at me as if she’s asking why I’m eating alone without giving her food. I have to eat quickly. I prepared chicken and zucchini—OkHee’s favorite foods. Now, OkHee knows how to wait beautifully. Seeing OkHee enjoy her meal makes me feel full. I’m going to make my own tree with the branches I picked up during the day. For some reason, Christmas still makes me excited, even as I get older. The soft sound of carols, the happy laughter of people, and fairytale-like stories. It’s a day that brings back such warm images. I’ll hang up cute props however I want. A cute photo of Ok-hee is a must. I’m planning to finish installing the lights and finishing touches for the next camping trip. It’s late at night now, so I should get ready for bed. The crackling sound of firewood crackling sounds even better today. I sleep with the heater on, and it’s warm and comforting. Thank you for your hard work today~ I enjoyed the fantastic morning mist, oblivious to the cold. OkHee, like a child who doesn’t want to go to school, refuses to come out of her blanket. A warm cup of tea in the morning is a wonderful way to start the day. Time to take a break in the midst of a busy schedule is truly precious. I’m planning to walk to the summit with OkHee, which I couldn’t reach by car. Wow, the scenery would have been so beautiful if we’d come by truck. I’ll have to try this later before it snows. I’m planning to make a simple but delicious breakfast. Vienna sausages and scrambled eggs… I could actually eat well with just those two things. 🙂 It’s the icing on the cake when eaten with a cup of seaweed soup and rice. It’s a simple yet delicious breakfast. OkHee, who just came back from a long walk, is preparing some food. This is OkHee, the devoted daughter who even does the dishes! 😄 I’m going to draw Suncheon Bay, where I recently visited. It might be a bit grandiose to say that my greatest joy in life these days is something I enjoy the most. It’s reading your comments. Actually, I grew up in a somewhat strict household, so I didn’t get compliments much when I was young. Because of that family environment, compliments from people felt a little awkward, but I loved them so much. I think the reason I liked drawing since I was young was probably because of compliments.
