Susumu Kitagawa, executive vice-president for research promotion at Kyoto University and distinguished professor at the Kyoto University Institute for Advanced Studies, received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry at the Nobel Prize award ceremony that was held in the Stockholm Concert Hall, Sweden.
At the award ceremony, the King of Sweden handed a medal and certificate to Professor Kitagawa.
A dinner for the laureates was held at Stockholm City Hall after the award ceremony.
