TOKYO LEZZET REHBERİ | A5 Wagyu, Unagi, Ramen, Gyoza, Onigiri, Kaitenzushi, Tamagoyaki
Ak Investment’s subsidiary Stablex presents Ayaküstü Lezzetler. Experience. Experience means everything. I have traveled to over forty countries in search of flavors. Tokyo was the city that impressed me the most among them. There is a flowing order in the streets, and years of discipline in the kitchens. Every bite is prepared with respect. And most importantly, they have a technique that is unique to this place. Nothing in this city is a coincidence. From the cutting of a fish, every detail is perfect, down to the light of a street. The one I admired from afar as a child that country, now it’s time to explore every inch. Ladies and gentlemen, to a world unlike any other, Welcome to Tokyo. Very beautiful, very beautiful. very beautiful. We’re eating eggs. It’s really quite sweet, you know. What happened to your face? We will see Sensō-ji Temple. You have to see this temple when you come to Tokyo. Find 24 here. What is this, dude? Are we making a wish? Look, this is a YouTuber charm. Red. There is a system called robata grilling. They will serve us what they cooked with a shovel from there. Hello to all of you from Japan. Today we are calling out to you from Tokyo. My dear friend Burak Kan is next to me. You know him from Instagram under the account gurukafa. Yes. And of course, Japan’s he has now become one of the honorary ambassadors. Excuse me. Today we will shoot a video together. Yes. Where are we right now? As understood from the tower, it’s the Eiffel. We are in Italy. This has gone viral, hasn’t it? Yes, We started from Tokyo. Did you arrive yesterday? When did you arrive? You don’t even remember because you made me drink a lot, right? Yes. 1, 2, 3. Actually, there was a gap in my tours. Onur also arrived 2 days ago. We will explore Tokyo together. If we had time, we would also go to Osaka. We are completely in the flow and will explore in the flow. We don’t have such a program. We will show you what spontaneous Japan is like. Exactly. Let’s talk a bit about what you will find in this video. There will be very nice foods in this video. For almost 2 days, we have been exploring everything with Burak. We ate delicious foods. We will summarize them in the video as well. Don’t worry at all. We will try to show that it’s not just sushi. Yes. When you think of Japan, of course, it brings to mind Turkey’s… it comes to mind as far as we can see. But when you come here, it’s a little bit more… you say welcome to a different world. The Japanese do not eat sushi every day. They don’t eat. Exactly. And we will explain a bit about what Japanese cuisine is. A kitchen that is a bit of a fusion of different cuisines. Yes, yes. Let’s say development instead of fusion. Because it really takes and develops into something completely different. they are experts in bringing to a place. Correct. Actually, if you look at it, Anthony Bourdain, whichever chef I talk to, so if I’m talking to 10 chefs, 9 of them I would like to live the rest of my life in Tokyo, he said. This is that place. So from what I’ve seen, it’s a very crowded city. Tokyo is probably almost on par with Istanbul. Actually more than Istanbul. In fact, if you include all of Tokyo, that is, if you consider the whole thing, the surrounding cities it is connected to, it has a population of over 30 million. 30 million. Of course, not just the metropolis itself, but when you include all of Tokyo, it’s 30 million. And you feel this everywhere in the city. Yes. You feel it underground, and you feel it above ground too. But it’s a quiet city. It’s really something that a city with so many people can be this quiet, enjoyable. And of course, the market and shopping aspect is also very curious here. We’ll talk about those in the video too. We’ll mention them from time to time. We’ll bring them up occasionally. How do we give advice to a friend on the road, that’s how we give advice. Exactly. This video will be a bit more intimate. It will have a vlog feel. I’ll introduce this place to you a little bit. It’s been about 13-14 years, right? Yes, yes, it has been. We used to sign off on very nice projects. There must be some of you who know. We used to go to student houses. We had a very nice project called ‘We Are With You at Iftar.’ We actually realized that project too. In fact, it’s one of the first projects in Turkey on social media. In that context, yes exactly. It was nice. It was a spontaneous development, that was nice too. We had started a lot of other things, but we couldn’t do them. But today we made a nice leap, didn’t we? Yes, yes, it took a lot to convince me. Because I have a thing about the camera. Yes, that’s why we start off a bit stiff. I don’t like it. For example, I won’t watch this video. I would be very happy if you like it. I can’t watch any podcast or video I’ve participated in. Should I say I have a screen phobia? I can’t manage it for some reason. Look, the first one. I hope to overcome that. The sound is very nice. He tells it very beautifully. Now that I’m eating, I won’t be able to talk. Burak’s storytelling is very nice. Really. We need to drink something to loosen up a bit. Shy. We’ll drink that in between, right? I was going to say there’s one down there, but just kidding. No, it’s not that much. So what kind of breakfast are we going to have today? How are we going to do it today? Normally, there is an old fish market that is part of every tourist trip. I say old fish market because the old one no longer exists. Because it has moved to a new place. The current fish market is not like the old one, it’s small like this. a more touristy area where food is sold. There aren’t many Japanese people, to be honest. Yes. Generally, apart from the workers, there are usually tourists. But there are also domestic home users or small-scale there is still a small market left there for people who will buy. I mean fish, vegetables, there are also sections where I can buy fruit. You can also eat an omelette. And then, what stands out the most viral on social media there are places where a lot of food is sold. We will visit them too. But you know, if you were Japanese, most likely we will also show you which one you would eat. So let’s not eat just what tourists eat. Well, we also have, for example, I don’t know. to Istanbul, to Üsküdar, the person who comes to Sultanahmet, etc., is always eating that we don’t eat macun as Turks. I mean, that’s something you used to eat occasionally a long time ago. Like that, let’s find what a Japanese person constantly eats. Okay. So let’s not find what they eat occasionally. We are going a bit more local. Yes. Super. How beautifully you sing. Honestly, I’ve never seen anything like this. So when the video starts, you all know exactly what to do. Don’t forget to like the video and hit the hype button below. It’s also very important for you to subscribe. You have a channel too. The name of your channel is Gurukafa. Yes, I’m a bit shy though. It could be the first channel to surpass 10,000 followers without any videos. Really, there are 10,000 subscribers. You can make it 20,000 if you want. You can do it. Burak also needs to shoot a video in return for that. Yes, yes, let’s do it this way. Let’s set a benchmark. If he surpasses that, I’ll shoot a video. Let’s go. They will curse now, but who are you? I really need something. Motivation. I don’t need anything else. I have everything. I have my video too. I will provide you that motivation with this video. Don’t worry. Don’t worry at all. Okay. Then let’s not waste any more time. Tokyo Food Guide is starting. Now we have arrived at the fish market. We started to slowly walk around. There are also a lot of restaurants outside. Now, the street that goes into the fish market. That’s the main thing. And there is also a very nice section here. This is it. Then the passages. Okay. In these contents, only eating and drinking places are left now. Normal wholesale sales and so on are gone. And there are streets inside too, you know. Where materials are sold. But these are not for restaurants anymore, they are generally sold for home users. And also like this, and in an L shape, let’s say rice with sashimi on top. Yes. Breakfast, this is rice with meat on top. Look, for example, he’s drinking ramen. It’s quite crowded, Burak, are you aware? Yes, yes. Also, warn them about this. Don’t let them come on Wednesdays. This is the place I told you about. We will have our breakfast here. Think of it like rice with roasted meat. It really looks like that. But I guess we need to warn them from the start, right? What? So, almost 95% of the meat here is pork. Well, if the sensitivity to pork is due to taste, that is. I won’t say it’s as bad in terms of taste as in Europe. I won’t say it’s bad, but it’s not very fragrant. But if there is a sensitivity due to belief, it’s very difficult because of pork. even in things that he says do not exist, there can be fat. There is pork juice. It has juice. So, for ramen, he says it’s chicken ramen actually. but it may also have pork in it to enhance the flavor of the broth. So, you have to ask even in Japanese knowingly. So, it’s even better if you ask in Japanese. Yes. That’s why a little bit here. There may be problems related to food. if there is such a sensitivity. This place also uses Matsusaka. He sets up things to prove that he uses Matsusaka Wagyu. He has put a certificate. Yes. Matsusaka, Kobe, Ozeki, there are different things like that. We have things like Balıkesir, Thrace, Kıvırcık, etc. No, there are differences by region. They also have that in Wagyu. Wagyu does not mean a guarantee of flavor. Let me say that first. Wagyu actually… Wagyu is Japanese cattle. Yes, Japanese cattle. It’s the name of the meat. So just because you ate Wagyu doesn’t mean you had super high-quality meat. Wagyu also has its own classification. One of them is by letter, A, B, The other one is with numbers. A, B actually is not really about you and me, but more like between the producer and the buyer. It indicates the yield of the animal. It talks about the yield at slaughter. As for A1, 2, 3, 4, 5, as you go up, the quality increases. That also refers to the quality of the meat. That’s actually what concerns us. But if you say I can’t go back hungry without having A5, no man, A4 is also very nice. Doesn’t it shout a lot? Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Laughing to themselves, shouting. By the way, Japanese people shout a lot. Wherever we sit in a restaurant, they are constantly shouting for something. But they are always fun. They always have smiles on their faces. That’s why I’m very happy. Here, they are doing things too. The lady from earlier made skewers from Wagyu like this. And this gentleman is making them from tuna fish. Oh, nice. After all, not everyone who comes here has to eat, right? That’s right. So if someone wants to buy something, they can. They can buy something for their home here inside. Or look here, there are very nice containers for tourists. Yes, tiny sake cups, rice bowls, ramen bowls. You can browse these. Look, come here, I have some street food for you. There is a guy who can make signs. If you noticed, the shops don’t really have signs like this. There are small things at the entrances, there are wooden items. He makes that sign. Now generally, we said that the shops are lined up in a straight L shape, but you definitely need to enter the streets in between, you should also include the passages in between. Because there are also some spices you can buy there. furikake. What was furikake? There was one with rice, that we sprinkle on rice, or that we sprinkle on salads. That is going viral. Everyone is sharing it on social media. Make sure to explore these places. There is a famous old coffee shop from the time of the fish market here. It’s still here. I think it has two branches. I think it’s a very nice place to walk around the streets, but as I said, it closes early because of its old tradition. It’s closed on Wednesdays. Fully closed on Wednesday. Yes. If you want, let’s go in like this now. Yes. By the way, it has gotten quite crowded. Let’s show some other things too. Burak has gotten quite crowded by the way. Yes, look, this is, for example, a rice cracker that the lady is eating. But I thought she was biting the paper too. You are choosing your animal. Octopus? Shrimp? Crab? Okay. She’s taking that one. Look, this lady, for example, chose shrimp. Yes. That batter, you know. It’s pressing in the sandwich maker. Yes, come see from here. Look, it’s pressed. It’s going to press it. The sound will come now. Oh, Burak is really pressing it a lot. Yes, yes. Wait a minute, is that the one the woman was eating earlier? Yes, this one. Dude, that’s interesting. Very interesting. Look, the other one is coming out now. He’s cutting the sides. Yes. Dude, that’s really weird. This is a real street flavor. In fact, it looks like this. Crushing the seafood. You’re saying something. It looks like a fossil, right? It looks like a fossil, exactly. See you in the next video. You’re choosing what to eat. They’re also doing something for you there. They’re cooking. You can also eat here. If you want, we can throw it away. Do you want something like this? Let’s go. Is this the egg place?. This is the famous egg place. Is it done? Is it fixed? It got better. Here you go, bro. It still needs a bit of salt though. Enjoy your meal. We’re eating eggs. Sweet, bro. Sweet egg. I wondered before if I was wrong? No, bro. It’s really sweet, you know. Chef approved. Enjoy your meal, chef. We’re with Chef Cenk. We’re eating together. We’re traveling together. It’s really quite sweet, you know. What’s wrong with your face? People who come to the fish market always have this thing. Is it really like this? People are really getting excited, you know? Bro, it wasn’t like this on social media? They think it’s the most delicious street in Japan. Then they come, bro. When they eat sweet egg… Bro, this place has memories, friends. This is not a place with flavor. It has memories. Now we’ve come to a very nice fish market. Yes, normally when you think of Tsukiji fish market, you only think of the eating and drinking spots there. But I think these two markets should be given a chance. It is inside, but no one notices. Because it’s inside the building. This place is important. Why is it important? This place no longer sells goods to big restaurants like before. There are generally home users here. More domestic. The normal Japanese people do their shopping here. They can buy some products for their kitchen from here. They can buy fish, they can buy vegetables, they can buy wasabi or things like that. Look, for example, do you know what these are? These are dried fish, there are such things, there are graters, there is a hand grater. Yes. It’s the finely sliced version of that. Japanese people are not as lucky as we are with these. For example, while we were on the spice route, we traded a lot of spices. In India and so on. These people had their time completely closed at home. They don’t have as high a variety of things in their kitchens as we do. They don’t have the variety of spices that we have. But they have always enhanced flavor with dried fish, pickles, and so on. Japan always comes to mind when it comes to umami. In fact, this might be why the Japanese also discovered MSG. It could be. The ones who chemically discovered MSG, the people who classified it, were apparently Japanese. By the way, we just had some sashimi a moment ago. For example, look, you’re a tourist, there’s much better sashimi inside than outside. That’s right. It really was like that. Look, here it says the fish, is this a bonito? Think of something like a mackerel. Or striped whatever it was, look son. You can check it out yourself. Let’s say it’s tuna or something, or mackerel, is it mackerel, what’s that thing. They prepare special dashis with these. Should I say that dashi is a delicious broth? They prepare something like a stock. Actually, they prepare stock. They sometimes use these in ramen, sometimes in dishes, etc. But dried fish, dried mushrooms, fermented products, etc. are very important in Japanese cuisine. Because they need to enhance the flavor. Also, the fruits and vegetables here are extremely good. So it feels like it was just picked in the morning. They also write where it comes from, right? When it was picked. Yes, sometimes you see a strawberry, it says, for example, at 6:35 in the morning this was collected. It’s an incredible thing. The Japanese also love time. They love time. They love the concept of time. It definitely has to be a timing issue… That’s why they always use clocks. Remember from the automotive. In the automotive industry, they also have a say in the world clock literature. Currently, the best-selling watch brand in the world is Citizen. Can you give an example in automotive? Toyota. Yes, Toyota. They can’t give it up, can they? No, never. They will definitely put that clock there. They put a clock in the middle. Lexus. For example, they definitely will. So friends, if you come, this is for your dashi. In fact, if you are going to make this dashi, it’s not just these katsoboshi. These are called katsoboshi. You can also get ready mixes. For those who want miso, look, there are misos here. Yes. These are made by fermenting soybeans with koji, right? Fermenting creates a separate I would say it’s very unrelated to our tarhana. They actually create a base. So because they enhance the flavor, it’s also a very healthy thing by the way. There is white miso, there is regular miso. Some need to be stored in the fridge. Some can be kept outside. Everything is here. Burak, they can also shop here. For example, they can get the radish version of wasabi. Yes, yes. If you want seaweed, you can get it. If you are curious at home, you can also include these. Let’s continue. Let’s eat a little more. Let’s eat. The lady has made miso-flavored peanuts. Look, it always raises, can you see? Umami. The price is 300 yen. Something boiled with soy. Sea scallop. Is it good? Not after the peanuts. Not after the peanuts. Where do chefs get their ingredients from? Let’s do something. Open your palm. For you, yuzukosho and more. This is probably a mixture of wasabi and salt. How intense the smell came. Very intense. Very good. Very nice. This is also yuzukosho. It can press quite a lot. It just ruined my palate. He/She captured it. Bitter orange, tangerine and such. I can’t fully describe yuzuyu, but look, come here now. But it’s nice. Don’t give it away yet. However, it’s not bitter. This is very nice. Think of tangerine peel with salt. How? This is nice. It’s really tangerine peel. Yes, yes, that’s why I don’t like it either. Acidic. Is this Chūtoro?. Chūtoro. This is akami. Is there Ōtoro? Ōtoro. Let’s eat Ōtoro. You will pay. I guess not. Okay, let’s not force it, let him not push something else on us now. What a gentleman. What? How gentlemanly. Not a gentleman, just after his food. Where are you from? Turkey. Turko. Turko? Turko. Hello. Oh very good. How do you know? Do you? No to Turkish. Ah ok. Turkish tourist. Yeah from Turkish tourist. Is it delicious? It is delicious… Delicious? Beautiful. Very beautiful. Very beautiful. Yeah, delicious. Is it delicious? Very beautiful. Very beautiful. Very beautiful. Very beautiful. Very beautiful. Tuna Princess. Tuna Princess. Perfect. Outside is tofu, inside is rice, and on top, you put the toppings you see here. This is called inarizushi, here is inarizushi, you can eat here. Kaiten inarizushi. Kaiten inarizushi. In Japan, you shouldn’t get too hung up on names, because we usually can’t read them. Onigiri Marutoyo, Since you already provided the link, there’s no need at all. I’m providing the links for all of them in the description. There’s something in the description, onigiri is here. Salt, bro, this is really good, advertise that salt. By the way, this is nice. Cenk saved our lives. Did it clarify that? Here you go, bro. Japanese salt can sometimes be a problem. In some things, the salt can be too much because of the soy, but in some things, there’s no salt at all. For example, in the tamago we just had, for example, in this onigiri too. What did Cenk get just now? The rice really stuck together. You need to put it in every bite. You need to put it in every bite. Let me put some for you too. Thank you, bro. What is this? It wasn’t a sweet sentence, but it’s okay. You noticed something, right? When you land in Tokyo. Electric cables. Bro, I noticed. Everywhere is electric cables, everywhere outside. In Turkey, everything is underground. Why is it outside here? Guess. Is it because of earthquakes? Every earthquake inspection and such is very costly. This was more… more manageable. You know how the Japanese were living in 2050? I couldn’t figure it out. The Japanese are in the 1970s, 70 is too long ago. They’re living in the 80s. Right now. I swear. And they’re happy about it. They don’t have a problem with missing out on technology or anything. If something can be used, they use it. They are constantly maintaining it. They don’t have a problem with using the best of everything, the newest. If the system is working, it continues. I saw that, especially we’ll see it in Toyota. There are taxis. Toyota’s Crown model. The Crown was designed back in the 70s, I think. They produced the same model until the 2000s. The same model never changes. When I say the same model, the body is the same, the technology changes. comfort is changing. But when you look from the outside, it’s the same. They’re a bit obsessive. Not a bit, they’re very obsessive. Wow, how crowded it has become. Can you really look around? Everyone came here to eat. It’s a very interesting place. In all the places we’ve visited so far, the back side is always Japanese, the front side, I mean us, we were always tourists. Is that right? That’s right. The business is just changing a bit here. In the places here, a bit more Japanese people are eating. But on this side, only and only, the taxi driver had said in the morning, tourists. This is an amusement park for tourists. An amusement park for the gluttons. Exactly. I will give you a life-saving tip. Everyone who comes to Japan wants to buy a knife. Japanese knife, etc. but when you buy it, the sharpening process, if you’re in a hurry, don’t leave it here. Because it takes a long time to sharpen them. So it doesn’t do great things at once, man. Since it always goes down slowly, it’s now the most… the last sharpening he did is almost like marble. It’s so fine that it can take hours. If you’re in a hurry, say you’ll do the sharpening yourself and take the stone. But if you’re not in a hurry, let them sharpen it. Oh, by the way, meatballs. Should I get you one with meatballs? Can we get one crab cream croquette? And a sea scallop. Hokkaido is the north of here. It’s a very fertile place in the north. Because it’s colder, seafood is more… there. But it falls apart directly, you know. When you bite into it. Right? You take this, give it to him. You all continue. No, I won’t eat it, you eat this. Son, I’m going to throw one at your mouth too. Wait, open your mouth. Open your mouth. How? Let me give you one more. Beautiful. Take this. The man is nice. Take it yourself with your hand. That’s very good. I wasn’t expecting this much. This has become a lot too. I’m not exactly an expert, but up until now for me I’m saying this based on my experience. I mean the section facing the street. according to the area where tourists are very dense more local. Yes. I mean, I see a Japanese person eating here. But I haven’t seen many here. This place seems completely dedicated to tourists. If you look back. the back part is more… Look. At least there are Japanese people eating over there. Yes. It’s quite crowded. Where are we? Kitsuneya. We have arrived at Kitsuneya. We can read it now. It says Kitsuneya over there. At Kitsuneya, there’s horumon, that is, this, beef, liver, internal organs, etc. there are offal dishes. It has been simmered for a long time with miso and sake like this. Ah, wait. Do you know why those big things come out? Why? As it finishes, they add to that thing. Those are sake, man. They cook it in sake, you know, with sake and miso. From time to time, as it finishes, they put it there. Into the water you boiled this. I figured it out. This darkness comes from there a bit. Yours is meat too. From meat. Meat over rice. Meat over rice. Roast. Exactly roast. Is this paprika? Hot pepper. Hot pepper. Japanese pepper. Japanese pepper. Wonderful. Thank you. Shichimi? I think this is Shichimi. But not too much. Okay. They come from Turkey. They are addicted to hot pepper. Addicted. Now where have we come? We have come to Asakusa. We will see Sensō-ji Temple. You must see this temple when you come to Tokyo. Otherwise… It doesn’t count as coming to Tokyo. Otherwise, they don’t accept tax-free. Nice joke. Oh, bad jokes again. It’s very nice. To pass through this entrance. under this, under that lantern, to take a photo. What is he doing? Man, luck. Luck. It brings everything. Love is money. There is a talisman. Look, let’s get a talisman from here. Wait a minute. It’s really deep inside. There are Buddhist talismans. Okay. We will get them for you now. High follower talisman. It’s not a like talisman, right? Yes, yes, all of them. Let them like the video right now. Look, the temple is at the end. Then it goes under. That thing. Watch your head. Nice. Like this. Watch your head. They’ve done it like you see here. Momiji, maple leaves. So they’ve made decorations out of fried maple leaves. There’s also that at Sakurada. They decorate with sakura leaves. Very beautiful. Very beautiful. Looks very beautiful. This is a very pleasant street. I mean, a walking path. They can shop here. Touristy things. As you move away from this street, the prices drop. If they have time, let them do it like this in parallel, parallel, let them do it in parallel. They will find cheaper prices. Then let’s go to the last one. To the cheapest place. Why aren’t we going? Let’s go like this. We’re not going to buy anything right now. First, let’s do our worship. I want to buy. Maybe you know where from? At home, my wife is expecting something from me. She is waiting for masks. Of course, she has shoes. Of course, she has shoes. It looks like a hoof. Yes. Shall we buy from there? If they have size 46, we will buy it. Yes, yes. I bought size 45 for myself. I wear it with the kimono. This place is a bit more like that. Mahmut Pasha. Eminönü. Actually, do you know where this is? This is exactly a Thursday market, but the sides are a Thursday market. Since there is a temple here, this place looks more like that. It looks touristy, but going back, this… Kappabashi, which chefs love, is always close to here. Thursday market, It looks like around Karaköy. This place is always full of tourist shops. Talk a bit about that. Did you say Kappabashi? Kappabashi, for those who want to buy kitchen utensils. So professional chefs, home chefs, I don’t know, they will buy a knife, they will buy a mandolin, they will buy plates and bowls, etc. You can get these from Kappabashi. You had shown the chefs who come here before. Yes, yes. You took them there. I remember the posts. Especially Burçak did a lot of shopping, right? Yes. Still doing it. Esen too. Still doing it. Through me. Look, as you can see, it’s like this here too there’s a store thing all the way to the shopping mall. Everywhere around you is a place to shop. Very nice. By the way, we are so lucky today in terms of the weather. Oh, that’s great. I mean, the sun is really burning our skin. But there’s something incredible here, man. What is it? I want to show this. What is it? A raffle. They must be drawing lots, I guess. Can you look at those, man? Very nice, huh? What did he get? Are you going to buy it? It’s 1000 lira. 1000 yen. 1000 yen. Give it. No way, I can’t carry it right now. We’re filming. We have such troubles too. Yeah. Melon bread is very famous around here. And mochiler. As I said, there is something inside the mochi. Come look, this place is already showing itself. There is red bean paste. So no one should get too excited. Because it has freezing inside. This thing and melon pan is the best way to present it. By putting something like this inside. It might not be very appealing in its plain form. Should I confess something to you? Go ahead. Most of the Tokyo flavors shared on the internet actually people look like this, Eating. Looking at the camera. Then they spit it out. I can’t say it’s bad, but we’re just not used to it. It’s something we’re not used to. Now I don’t want to make anyone think that the bean paste is very nice. I don’t want to push it. Bro, I think. It’s hard to get used to, my friend. I think there are many things that go viral here and when you try them, they really disappoint you. For example, here, Esen had tears in her eyes. Look, film this and send it to Esen. A cracker? No, this one presses something inside. Come, come. Esen really cried here. This makes it like a cracker, look. With seaweed, sesame. Interesting though. When you see it, it makes you crave it. It looks nice. Look, we found Yuzu again. Yuzu chili. Look, this is Yuzu. What we call Yuzu is actually a fruit. Plastic. Plastic. Yes, bro. They really worship Yuzu. What can I say about Yuzu? Is Yuzu closer to mandarin or lemon? Lemon. But isn’t it more acidic? Will it make you taste it? Open your hand. Everything is being put on the table here. You eat this, let’s see. Are you going to say lemon? Are you going to say mandarin? Don’t let it show. Which one of us is more something? This is mandarin, dude. This is Bodrum mandarin. But it’s nice. It’s very nice indeed. But you can put it on everything. It becomes very nice. It tastes very good. Rice cracker. Thank you. By the way, this is very nice. I really liked it. Just the right snack. Next to coffee. Honestly nice. This is the sweet version of normal rice crackers. Sweet rice cracker. It looks a bit more like something else. It looks like granola. Nice though. Yes. What are they doing here, Burak? Come, I’ll show you. Come on, bro. Let me show you too. Come. Here. You make one from there. Take that thing. Shake it now. First, throw in 100 Yen each, bro. 100 Yen. Yes, let’s make a donation to our association. 500. Don’t throw that 500 if you don’t want to, it’s a bit too much. Throw 100. This one? Okay, okay, throw it. As much as you can. Throw whatever you have. Help the association. Okay, let’s help the association. Now shake that thing. Shake it, shake it. Now the turn. Turn that thing. Draw one. Draw one from there. Hoppa. Did it come out? What number is written? 24. Find 24 here. What is this, man? Are we drawing intentions? Yes. Are you ready? Yes. Your fortune is coming out. Are you ready? Okay. Now. It writes the Japanese version here. Chinese version. Oooo. What does it say? If it comes out bad here now. Bad luck. Yes. Fold this and. Hang it on that thing over there. If it comes out good, fold it and take it home. Bro, you got something. Bad luck. I’m not kidding. Fold it like this. Come. Like this. Fold it. 59 came out, bro. I’ll check it right away. Fold that one. Am I throwing this? Put this inside your thing. Did you do it with this? Yes, with that. It came out bad. Wait, let me read it, man. Oooo. Yours too. Bro, what are you guys doing? Did it come out bad for us? I swear. What will happen, man? Is there going to be an earthquake or something? You will read it, bro. Read. Read your thing. Dude, I shouldn’t read this. Tülin will kill me. It started with 3 women. Okay. This is like our clothes drying rack. It’s coming out of its place. Let it go. Let it move away. It’s that bad, huh? Okay. Good luck, bro, money, the fulfillment of your wishes. Do we need to get this now? Passing the class. safety in traffic. Then success in your job, health. success in relationships. When we say success, luck. Relaxed, healthy birth for pregnant women. What else is there? There were exams. A smooth transition from exams. Bro, they have found their way. Bro, the amulet is important. They have found their way. I will say something. You say they found the way, but… Get something nice for 500 Yen. I mean, if I knew where I was going? Look, this is a YouTuber amulet. Red. It says YouTube here. It says YouTube here. You know this, right? Let me explain this sometime. What? You understood the symbol, right? Yes, I knew the symbol. Yes, that symbol. It’s Sando. Peace, that’s the peace symbol. They purify themselves before entering the place of worship. Look, they will wash one hand, they will wash the other hand. They need to take water in their palm. Look. They did that movement, right? Let’s say they filled this. In the end. Not everyone does this. Okay. Then they need to wash the stick like this. They should leave it clean for the next one. Yes, yes. Nice. We left the temple. We are going to eat a nice tempura. Yes. A place nearby. So you can get there right away by walking. 4.7 rating on Google. 4.7 Wow. But we don’t usually check Google. I looked at something. What do they say? I’m looking at Tabelog. Tabelog. Tabelog. There is a site called Tabelog. You talk about that. I’ll write it down below. This is a program used by the Japanese. We know it better than normal. If it’s 4.7 or 4.8, it’s a nice average. A 3.5 there is considered very good. By the way, we are going but we don’t have a reservation. Hopefully they’ll take us. I hope so. Come on, take a picture. The streets are very beautiful by the way. Super clean, man. There’s nothing on the ground at all. You know how they do that, Burak. Wearing white socks. Yes, yes. You might think this white sock wearing and walking on the streets is a very exaggerated scenario. Yeah, right. It won’t stay completely white but you can be sure it will stay very clean. It’s cleaner than a bachelor’s house. Let me put it that way. True. Because look, any vehicle’s, Look, this vehicle is carrying something technically. Do you see? Construction stuff. True. Look at its wheels, pitch black. Zoom in on any vehicle’s thing for a moment, okay? Zoom in on the wheels. There’s no dirt even on a garbage truck. Yeah, no. Such a thing can’t exist. Interestingly. There’s no dust around, guys. They’ve gotten rid of the dust. Yes, somehow. Yes, yes, they’ve gotten rid of the dust. For example, there was a bar that Burak knew about before. They’ve demolished the building. We passed by it last night. We couldn’t believe it. There should be dust, but there’s nothing. There’s nothing at all. Everything is pitch black.. They left no dust after the building demolition. Let’s see. We’ll see you at the tempura place. Hopefully. Now we’ve arrived at Masaru’s. This is next to the temple. Very close to the temple. You enter through such a tiny street. A place that could easily be overlooked. But this is a very old place. The locals love it very much. American and European tourists find it very hard to locate this place. Even if they find it, it’s not exactly the kind of environment they want. This is how it is, as we just saw. A place where local people come for lunch. They make tempura. Actually, tempura is one of the main dishes you can eat in Japan. But its origin is actually not Japanese. Its origin is Portuguese. Yes, Portuguese. It’s already tempura. Tempura, you know, think of temperature. Yes. What it came from is, it came through Europe. Portuguese explorers or sailors brought it. That’s when you coat something in flour or well, what can we say, coating it in batter taking the vegetables they fried and developing them they adapted it to something like this. That they are in a better condition than them right now. I think so too. Absolutely. You know, these guys are a bit something. They are good at taking something and developing and elevating it. They’re obsessive. You’re eating pure tendon. What’s tendon? The word comes from tempura, which means skin. The skin of tempura. Donbori means rice bowl. You’re eating rice with tempura. Exactly. There’s rice underneath. And tempuras like this on top. I’m starting. You start. Let’s go. And a miso soup on the side. By the way, let me give you an interesting fact. Don’t be surprised in most places, the soup comes later. Since this is a set menu, it came like this. Normally, if you look at it as a flow. Does it come after the meal? It comes at the very end of the meal. The soup comes before dessert. This is sea scallop. I haven’t seen this in many places, for example. That they make it with sea scallops. But they do. They make it in Japan. Let me show you. It’s very nice. It really is nice. I’m a bit like this with fish… This is lotus root. Tempura. This is fish. Mine seems richer than yours. You have more variety. There is variety. I guess this is pumpkin. Squash. For example, I came here. In most of the meals I’ve eaten, there’s rice. And they really know how to cook rice well. I mean, how to steam it. I think they also take the starch out. It doesn’t bother you excessively. Like it does in our case. And there’s no oil, if you notice. And they really don’t eat much, man. They really don’t eat much. We’re always like this. We’re eating. I don’t know. Is it because we’re in a hurry? But they are actually in a hurry too. We want to be full at the table and then get up. The rest, I’m talking about the rest of the world. We say that, Italians always eat this dough and don’t gain weight. It’s not just the flour difference. They have a slow process. They are getting antipasta. Always things like this. By the way, you can eat that too. Completely lose your mind, You can eat it like snacks. Hold on to it. I won’t eat it. Okay, don’t eat it. I won’t eat it, I won’t do that much. I mean, like your feet. It’s a snack, you know. I took a bite from the edge. Just to not be rude. The Italians have this kind of order, you know. Yes. Here is the secondi. The main course is coming and all that. Always in pieces like this. I mean, it goes with the thing. We want to leave full. They, on the other hand, after eating in pieces, slowly get full. I mean, they have something. Maybe they get full after getting up. But we want to, during the meal, feel heavy at the table like this. In Mediterranean regions, like Greece, Turkey, these kinds of places generally do this. They want everything to come to the table at once. yes yes. So it’s not like that here. Here, as far as I can see, you order something and they spread it over time. They actually make it valuable like a ceremony for you. And they want to take you through this by making you experience time. They want you to take your time with each dish. Whatever the guys are doing, they are really doing it very well. I mean, they use the best ingredients. I’ve been here for two days, In the meals I’ve eaten for three days, I’ve always seen this. Maybe the dishes that don’t mean anything on their own they bring them together and use them in such harmony that the flavor goes up a notch like this. And you start to taste flavors that you haven’t felt on your palate before. I think that’s a very beautiful thing. And they succeed at this. It’s true for everything. For everything. My general observation. They place a lot of importance on the work they do. They are constantly trying to do a job in the best possible way. They are healing themselves. They are always trying to approach perfection. Even if he/she is a perfect person I’m still not perfect, how can I be more… I will make it perfect. he is trying, he is trying, he is trying. There is something, there is a dedication. Everyone is dedicating themselves to their work. But for example, he/she dedicates himself/herself to the service job. He/she dedicates himself/herself to the kitchen job. As you can see, everyone comes for lunch. Locals. And also, this is a fact. As Burak said, they dedicate themselves in the service. The person cooking in the restaurant dedicates himself/herself. And they do it with pleasure. They do it happily. You can see this. In many restaurants, they shout and motivate each other like this. I mean, I’ve never seen something like this before. Someone comes in, for example. They say, ‘Our new customer has arrived at the door.’ They greet the person with ‘Welcome’ and so on. Yes, yes. It happens with us too. Again, in Anatolia, they greet of course. Welcome, brother. Welcome, brother. Here you go, brother. But these are extra. My head was pounding last night. Well, that could be. We only do this in the service sector. we are trying to buy. This service. But they are in everything. You saw. There is the same politeness in the metro. There is the same politeness in the restaurant. I don’t know, it’s also on the street, etc. They continue that politeness even when shopping at the market. This interest and attention is not just in this restaurant. No. We only feel this way when we see it in the restaurant. I wonder if they will ask me for a tip or something like that? And let’s also talk about the tipping culture here. There is no tipping culture at all. Zero. In fact, many places say don’t give tips. Most likely, you know, to leave the change behind, as soon as you leave, they come after you in most places. Exactly. It happened yesterday too, you know. He even ran after me. And the girl was falling because you forgot the money. Think of it that way. They are a little honest. I mean, not just a little, they are quite honest. Seeing this increases your admiration for them more and more. In everything they do, they are trying to make you happy. They are trying to give value for your money. There is something like this. I saw that. Everyone is trying to do their best at work. The person serving says, if I serve this doctor well, if I do my job well, he will receive good service too. If the doctor does his job well, he will also be good. Everyone is trying to overall, everyone in the system serve in the best way possible. So that they can get the best in return. Isn’t it? Please go eat upstairs today, etc. Yes. For example, everyone is trying to make the system work correctly. he is being polite and trying to do his best. So what happens? Everyone is very sure about that. If everyone does their job well, I will live comfortably. I don’t think they have any issues related to life. Everyone can do what they want here. Isn’t it? There is a movie about always doing your job well. It’s very popular these days. Staying in the moment vs. Yes. Perfect Days. That toilet cleaner guy in Perfect Days is always coming to eat at a place in Asakusa. On the lower floor. Shall we stop by there? Sure. It’s perhaps one of the oldest markets here. Underground market. He was always eating there. If it’s open, let’s get a souvenir too and eat something while drinking barley water there. Barley water? Let’s drink beer. Let’s drink beer. By the way, we haven’t mentioned the food prices at all, but. We didn’t say anything about the prices in the market, but on average, the market prices vary depending on the products you buy, of course. The cost of feeding yourself at the level of 1200 Yen and if you don’t do something very special, the daily cost of feeding yourself is 300-400 lira. A standard thing. That is also reasonably priced, of course. In that thing you ate, the rice with liver was quite something, I mean. And don’t mind us, we are filming now, constantly rice rice rice, and in between, we are also having onigiri. But these are all actually filling things. You can’t eat all of these, I mean. You can’t eat them. We are pushing ourselves. Look, for example, Onur doesn’t eat that. I stopped. Because if I continued, there wouldn’t be a continuation of this thing. Our bill came to 6900 Yen. An important detail is that these curtains were down when entering, and now the restaurant has closed, they stopped the lunch service. More precisely, they closed after the lunch service. They fold it up like this so you understand that it’s closed. So when you come to a restaurant, if the top part is like this, know that they are closed. And what was that, Burak? I didn’t know that detail. So does that mean it’s closed? Yes, yes, it’s closed. But I didn’t know that. I have learned it. In this video, everyone learns something. Oh my God. Yes, they had told us about it at a tempura place in Motoyoshi. They have curtains like this that come down. In old times, they would understand the taste by looking at its dirtiness. Because people would wipe their hands on it when leaving. They would wipe it like this. They would continue like this. If it’s dirty, if it’s oily, then it must be a very frequented place. That means. The story is nice. We continue. There are two types of tempura in Japan. One is the lighter colored one. The more yellow one. Right? More modern. Modern. That’s the one I like. It turns out Mr. Onur likes that too. Yes. And there’s the Edomae style we call it. What color is that? We would say amber color. The darker colored one. There’s also something different where sesame oil is more dominant. The one we just ate. Yes, the one we just ate was actually Edomae style. But you like the more modern and lighter version, I guess. Exactly. I like this one a little less. By the way, we have a bread here. Melon pan. It’s called melon pan. It looks so nice. They put something like whipped cream inside. Whipped cream. Because I don’t think it’s that delicious on its own. They make everything sweet, the sugary ones only. By the way, we paid in cash at the restaurant. Let’s mention that too. In many restaurants… I mean, in this type of historical authentic places, they generally try to take cash. Yes. They took 6900 in cash. Now we are going to a restaurant called Anshin. It’s also very close by. I mean, in the places you will go right next to this temple. So you can take advantage of it while you’re here. We will eat chicken. There is very nice chicken here. We got this kind of chicken from Anshin. There is a spicy version of this too. It’s sold for 700 Yen. It’s actually an expensive chicken. It’s more expensive than, let’s say, the Famichiki sold there. We love it a lot. Of course, Famichiki is very nice too. This one is not as juicy, I’m sure. I don’t know how many people who go to Japan have eaten chicken at FamilyMart, but if they haven’t, they are not aware of what a big thing they are missing. Well, we probably… Those who have eaten say something like. We ate it, you didn’t miss much, etc. We eat it maybe twice a day. We eat one in the morning and one in the evening. Why did you say less? You eat more. We eat more, but we order two each time we come. But I will try this now. Let’s see. Do you want to take a bite from one end while I take a bite from the other? No, no. Okay, I’ll take a bite first then. That’s too romantic for me. Let me put on my tourist glasses. It’s not juicy at all, but is it tasty? Tasty. They sprinkle some Chinese salt on it. That’s why it tastes good, of course. Something else happened with the second one. This one is more… It’s developing. Take it. Tear it off. It’s not like that, right? This one is very nice. The outside of this, the inside of that. Yes, the outside is nice. I’m not eating this. I won’t continue. Come on now. I’m not continuing. Honestly, I won’t continue. Well, there are no pets here that you can feed outside. Throw it in your bag. Ask for a bag. You can eat it in the evening. No way. It can’t be eaten after it gets cold. Then we’ll see each other at the next stop. You can buy these cards. And at the same time, you fill it up. It’s not valid everywhere, right? It’s valid at Family Marts too. Yes, yes. Let me mention what I just talked about, and I will make a little correction. The name of these cards is IC Card. They call it IC Cardo. Because they can’t say card. Or because it seems difficult. Now they can’t find this card in Tokyo. Because it was obtained from Osaka. The equivalent of this, there is another company selling something similar in Tokyo. Suica. They can find the Suica card. They get the Suica card from here. I don’t remember what is in Kyoto. But each city has different IC Card brands. But they are valid with each other. With this card you got in Osaka, you can shop at the market with this IC Card. You can shop at some stores. And you can use public transportation. In the same way, the others are also valid with each other. An earthquake happened. Are you aware? We shook quite a bit. Of course, it could be because of the subway, but we shook extra. If they don’t panic, I won’t either. Yes. And the birds are chirping. Yes, at every station, there are birds chirping like this. Some of my friends might be mistaken. I have close friends. I thought these were real birds, but they are not. There are bird sounds like this at every station. Isn’t it sweet? Very sweet. We usually use Google Maps. Yes, Google Maps works so well that In the subways or train stations in Japan. It tells you from above which passage you need to enter. Depending on the point you need to go to, is it this train? Are you saying that I will take this train? Platform 1, The difference between Platform 1 and Platform 2. It says Platform 1 here. And it said you need to take Platform 1 to go to Shinjuku. It said to get on Platform 1. Yes. For example, we are looking from here. Shinjuku, Shinjuku. There is one Shinjuku around here. Here it is. Shinjuku. I can’t say it anymore. My tongue doesn’t turn. Shinjuku is here. But for example, it says 2 for other things. So even if it’s in Japanese, we can see the names written in our normal alphabet here. And we can find them easily. It says here, is the station we got on correct? It tells us which entrance to enter. Then it tells us to stop at Platform 1 when we go inside. It also tells us about the incoming trains. Also, when we press the location we provided, it says, if you get on the 7th carriage, look, the carriage numbers are written here. We are currently in the 7th carriage. 7th carriage 3rd door of the 7th carriage. Exactly here. It says if you do that, you will reach your destination faster. It says it will help you get out faster from where you will get off. Well done. Well done. It also says when getting off to use door D5. Yes. Very nice. But in the meantime, we are not in Shinjuku. We will get off at the station before Shinjuku. Is that so? Yes. Okay. After that, we will walk for 9 minutes. Okay. Okay. Super. Hello with jasmine green tea. Why am I drinking this tea? Look at this logo you see. This is also provided by the state for health. It exists because it has proven to be beneficial. I will explain this in particular later. This makes you lose weight. Does it make you lose weight? After all the things we ate, this increases fat burning metabolism. I drank the dark one in the morning, which is also bitter, reduces fat absorption. Let’s say you are going to eat tempura. You are going to eat something very oily. You drink that beforehand. Wow. Look, it says Pachinko Slot over there. Normally, there is no gambling in Japan. Yes. I mean, officially there isn’t. Those pachinkos are an interesting thing. You enter and it feels like a casino. It sounds like a slot machine but it’s extremely noisy. Like tiny iron balls falling from one place to another. Going from one place to another. Something I can’t make sense of at all. Actually, it’s something that no one wins anything but hundreds of people play it addictively. I will take you somewhere but people will say I’m exaggerating. It’s very noisy, look. I mean, look, it’s very noisy. Most likely, the hours are alarming due to decibels… It will give. Where are we going? We are going to a street that smells like urine. What does that mean? It smells like urine like this. Now, the name of this place, I shared it before. It’s one of those very famous places. Omoide Yokocho. It is referred to as Memorial Lane, like a memory road. There used to be tiny izakayas here. After World War II, in the 40s and 50s after the Second World War, the places here don’t have alcohol licenses. Yes. They operate illegally. Such tiny places. They don’t officially have toilets here either. And then, since everyone left it here and there, it used to smell very faintly. Oh no. They still call it Shonben Yokocho. Shonben, I guess. It is referred to as Shonben Yokocho. Please write it in Japanese under that. Okay. And then. But they have changed it in the 2000s. They translated it as Omoide Yokocho. So the old people still call it sidikli Yokocho here, but the current name, you say it. It is referred to as Memorial Lane. By the way, it’s very beautiful. I love it very much. Nice. There are these tiny izakayas. Unfortunately, smoking is harmful to health. But you can smoke in most of them. This old-style thing continues. It’s a bit like Adana kebab. You’ll see now. The place is like Adana kebab. Then you sit in these tiny spots for 3 people, spots for 10 people, spots for 7 people. Shall we explain what izakaya is? Izakaya is actually a Japanese tavern. Yes. They make these tiny yakitoris. What does yakitori mean? Chicken skewer. Chicken skewer. Yaki. Yaki, to grill, to cook. Tori, chicken. Chicken. Yakitori, grilled chicken. Teppanyaki. Flat grill. Flat grill. There is okonomiyaki. For example, that’s also yaki. When you see yaki, it gets you fired up. You know, grill. We’re grill masters, bro. Now we’re going inside. Yes. Wait, wait, wait. Most people call this place something. Touristy. Yes. Should they close it, bro? Very touristy. Yes. So if you want something less touristy or if you want an old yokocho, there’s one at Shimbashi station too. There’s a yokocho in Yorokocho. There’s a yokocho in Ebisu. So it’s like a tiny thing inside. Inside a closed area. So yokochos are everywhere. Write Shibuya there. This is Shinjuku, now write Shibuya Yokocho. There should be a yokocho somewhere around there. Yokocho, I mean, is the name of this general street. Yes, yes. It’s like a street for food and drink places. Is there a counterpart to that in our country? The counterpart in our country… No, man. A street with eateries. Yes, yes. Exactly. Yes, they are right here, by the way. It’s a very touristy place, but I mean, what should I do, bro, should we not go just because it’s touristy? Let’s go in. Come on. Hagia Sophia is touristy too, should no one go? Of course they should go. Just because Hagia Sophia is very touristy, should no one go? Hahahaha By the way, this place gets very crowded in the evening. Yes, yes, it will start to fill up slowly now. Let me take a memory here. Small little places. Everyone is sitting. I don’t like this place, for example. In the evening. We can’t find a place here. But I mean, the places are so small… And they cook in front of you. You just said Soba, here’s your Soba, bro. This is a Soba place. I love this place. This is like, I think it’s one of the nicest places in this area. Generally, it’s really like the Japanese. Where are the tourists? Come on, show me a tourist here. No, they’re all Japanese. What happened to the tourist? Can you show me one tourist? There’s none here either, that’s not a tourist either. They’re all Japanese. What happened? That looks very nice. Are you going to drink one of these? Now? No, I won’t drink it now. It looks nice, but I won’t drink it now. It can be a bit salty sometimes. They always put tempura on top of it. See, do you see? Hop, pull. But it looks really nice. Very nice, bro. Look at what that guy is eating. And by the way, it’s filling. Yes, that’s why I don’t want to eat. Look at the price. 560. What does 560 mean, bro? 560, you’ll divide it by 3. For 150-200 lira, you can eat well here. Yes. Anyone who doesn’t get full with this, I don’t know, bro. I want to eat unagi now. Unagi, yes, I like unagi too. Eel, sweet eel. And there’s the sea, they separate it here because there’s a sweet one. It actually comes out for us. In our area, in Lake Bafa. It comes out in Lake Bafa. It comes from Mexico. More precisely, it goes there to spawn. To give birth. It travels 7000 kilometers just to give birth. It lays eggs in the Sargassum seaweed in the Gulf of Mexico. That journey is actually a very miraculous event. Absolutely. That wouldn’t be the subject of this video. BBC has a very nice documentary. BBC Turkish has this eel in Lake Bafa… That’s not the exact species. Ours is the Mediterranean one. There is a Turkish source related to it. They should watch it, it’s very nice. Can you give the link below? I will. You say give the link, it goes away. I’m giving the link below. Let’s eat here. Anyway, we’ll eat later. Where are the tourists? Come. Come, it’s full of Japanese inside. If I say hello, no one will believe it. Okay, since a lot of tourists are coming here now, They have started to give it out. Look, this is famous. Sake. So the number of English-speaking people has increased, but this place is still a favorite of the locals. It’s my favorite. Is this the place? Normally, there would be a queue. It’s nice, man. This is eaten here. But it’s already crowded inside. And it’s 100% Japanese. What happened? I think they eat at this hour. Where are the tourists? I think they eat at this hour. Wait. Look back there. Look, they’re making yaki. See you. It’s nice that they make it on charcoal fire. Look, charcoal. Some use charcoal fire. Yes. The charcoal fire they call Sumibi. Really? Being on charcoal adds extra flavor. Exactly. As always. Look over there. Everything is there. Look, this is Sumibi too. Exactly. Now one of the things I need to explain is land is very valuable in Japan. There’s no space, you see. That’s why everything is built in vertical buildings. Now, our own habit in terms of eating and drinking is to always look for places along the way, right? Whether it’s a quick bite. Quick bite. But unfortunately, it’s not like that in Japan. Most restaurants, as you see, look here. Each has a sign, do you see each on a different floor? Look, a 7-story building, there’s a different restaurant on each floor. This one has a different place, this one has a different place. So don’t think of it like that in the meantime. You say the name. Just because a place is on the upper floor doesn’t mean it’s of lower quality, and just because it’s on the ground floor doesn’t mean it’s of higher quality. Almost all the best restaurants we’ve been to… were upstairs. Were upstairs. There were some in the mall, some on the ground floor, some on the upper floor. I hate to say it, but I’ve been to some pretty good places too. And they were generally on the upper floors. I don’t remember ever going into a place for a quick bite. Only once was a sushi place like that. That was in Kyoto. You know, there wasn’t much for a quick bite in Kyoto anyway. But generally, it’s always on different floors. Yes. So keep your eyes open for that. By the way, you wrote it on Google. Generally, most of the guests… go, I couldn’t find the place, they panic. Is there another place? No, man. At the end of the address, it says floor anyway. 4F, 3F, 2F, it says. It shows which floor it is on. In Japan, all floors are considered equal to one ground. There is no such thing as zero. Zero, there is no ground, etc. It starts with 1-2-3-4. It starts suddenly, there is no 0. It goes down as B1-B2. I think it’s a very interesting topic. Man, that’s very true, it doesn’t confuse the mind. Elevators, we were on the ground, were we at zero or something like that You don’t need to go out In elevators… You start directly from one, from the first floor. Unatetsu. A very nice place that makes unagi. Unatetsu. Unatetsu. Yes. So that people don’t get confused about unagi. This is made from freshwater eel. And the problem we have with eel… We call it eel. It has nothing to do with it. No relation. We call it eel based on its shape. Just like a shark has nothing to do with a dog… An eel has nothing to do with a snake. But unfortunately, the perception of it here… Is very bad. It’s actually not inedible, but… It’s very delicious. Only when eating the ones we have… It’s very fatty. The ones they have are very nice. Yes. I’m praising Japan a lot right now. Won’t you take a towel? Kushiyaki. Five skewers of kushiyaki. Enjoy your meal. Pull this into your mouth. What’s that? Wasabi fish. Wasabi fish. Oooo. Nice. And, um. It’s not imitation, man. Real wasabi. My nose is cleared up, man. Real wasabi. It’s really very nice. For example, in Japan, after you eat real wasabi, you understand the difference. Unfortunately, what we normally eat in Turkey, let’s not blame anyone, but most of the wasabis we eat are actually not even wasabi. It only has the essence. There’s horseradish, what do we call it, mountain radish? Yes. That’s just a colored version of it. That’s also eel. Oh. You’ve made a mini version of your thing. Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful. Look at the beauty of the plate. Wow. Plate. It looks like there are a few plates stacked on top of each other. Thank you. You take the big one. Hmm. Ooo. Very beautiful. What is this? The one with leaves? What is this? Oh, the skin. The skin? They put the skin as a cover. We also call it leaf. But it was green. Yes, it was very green. Hmm. Very beautiful. What was the one below? Isn’t it a vegetable? No. How can I explain it to you? People from Alanya call it gölevez. Gölevez. I swear it’s not a joke. Don’t mess with me. No. Look it up. It’s gölevez. They are making a dish with it. Gölevez. They are joking. There’s no place for ignorance. It’s on Google. Look it up. Oh, what is this? How? Beer? Yes, yes. One more. One for you. One for me and one for you. Do you want it? Please. Will you drink one? He doesn’t drink while working, he’s a man after all. Let him drink. A small one. Chef, by the way…. we ordered eel. He cut the fish fresh. First, your head. Can you describe its freshness perfectly? Freshness is like this. He crushed the head first. With something like a nail. At that moment, he stabbed the knife and started to clean. While he is cleaning it, the fish keeps moving. He is fixing it. It came to the grill in about a minute and a half. It looks very nice. Look, he put it on the ashes. Didn’t you see that? He touched it to the ashes here. The back is cooked in the ashes. The inside is cooking on the coals. He can tell by touching it with his hand. Yes, yes. He is checking its condition. Very interesting, huh. Really. The technique is incredible. I’ve never had fish this fresh in my life. I probably haven’t eaten it. Don’t let Kaan hear. Yes. We send our regards to Yeniköy Fishmonger from here. Let’s say it. But that one is different, this one is different. Oh, he’s going to give us something new. What? He’s pouring something. Sake? Wow. He took a bath. Drunken Unagi. He poured sake over the Unagi. The chef sent us gifts. I swear he did. And this is tofu. They make the egg in such a way that. I mean, egg. Egg is egg. I’m tasting it. How is it? You won’t eat it again. Like crème caramel. But the salty version. Okay. Crème caramel but the salty version. Will I like it? No. A bit vinegary. Let’s not let on, exactly. Exactly. It’s very nice. Very nice. Very nice. By the way, the chef is looking us in the eye right now. Yes. And how? We hope we will like it. The presentation is amazing. I’m tasting it. Hmm. Okay, nice. Very nice. It’s disappearing, you know. There’s rice underneath it too. By the way, Burak, tell us the price from the menu. Since we’re at it. We have it like this… In a bowl… It comes with rice. This goes premium here, we are eating premium right now. 4,920 soup comes with it, Pickled vegetables come. Pickles. Yes. Tamago tofu is coming. How much is it? 1,347 yen. 1,347 yen, yes. Our bill has also arrived. By the way, the total is 17,550 yen. So, it’s not a cheap place but… …what we ate… It was very beautiful. Let me show you the menu like this. I mean… Unagi is not a cheap meal. It’s not. Before going to the last stop, we wanted to take a coffee break. In the meantime, we have been here for 2 days with Burak. We want to summarize the different stops for you. Because we ate in very nice places. We became locals. We have become locals now. We became Japanese. By the way, I am very tired. Come on now. I mean, those who will come to Japan need to know this. Everywhere is flat, there are no hills but you have to walk everywhere. Or you need to go by metro. Even when you go by metro, the minimum amount you will spend daily is 20,000. Minimum. Yes. So if you want to explore, it will be at least 20,000. That is tiring. I have been walking for 3 days. So 60,000 steps tired me out. Clear and simple. This guy is used to it. You can’t say you’ve walked without your feet being sore. Your feet will be sore. You need very good shoes. If you buy them, you can get them from here. I bought them. I got them from Asics. I was going to get them from New Balance. New Balance is very interesting. After size 45, it jumps to 46.5. It’s not even 46. It’s not even 46. 46.5 exactly. So where shall we start? Shogun. Shogun. What is Shogun? Let me tell you the history now. The boring part of the job. Years and years ago, 100 years ago this place was ruled by the Shogunate. There were feudal lords called Daimyo. The feudal lords were like a military unit. Feudal lord. Then the Shogun becomes the top of those samurais. There is the real empire. But the emperor, like the current emperors. Symbolic. The real ruler is the Shogun. Under the Shogun are the daimyo. They are the feudal lords. Especially the samurais. We were going to talk about hamburgers. What happened to us? I thought I’d throw this in. So I wouldn’t seem ignorant. You must have watched the series. Those who watch the series know. Or those who hang out with us know. Yes. We went to Shogun Burger. That place was really interesting. Because they were making Wagyu Burger. A5 Wagyu Burger. And they were making it with freshly cut cheddar cheese. I thought it was delicious. It was good. Yes. Burak also had karaage. Dude, the chicken was really good, you know, in Japan. In Japan, the chicken is very I eat every kind of chicken. It was really very good. The fries were good too. And there was unlimited drinks. They had their own brewed beer. We also drank that beer. We had a very nice IPA. They made IPA. They were also very good. Okay. But definitely try the burger when you come. If you want to eat, you can try that place. You mainly taste the meat. You don’t taste much cheese. Yes, meaty. So let’s put it this way. Imagine minced meat taken in the thickest mirror. That’s how it comes. So it comes a bit more meaty. Can I make a bad comment? Go ahead. I’m not sure if A5 was necessary. I don’t think it was necessary, yes. Well, because… The fat is melting away. I mean, the fat is melting away. It’s like a crumbled meat, you know? That’s right. If it were A4, What difference would it make if it were A3, man? If he put the fat accordingly. This feels a bit off to me. Like a fantasy? These are fancy, you know. He evaluates A5 differently. If he had something for us, we would have eaten it. I think so too. They give it like that in some places, you know. They put a piece of A5 on top of the rice like a nigiri. They cook it with a blowtorch. Are we going to eat at the last stop? We’ll eat something, right? We’re going to eat A5 Wagyu at the last stop. We’ll also talk a bit about that. So is it really Kobe beef or other types of meat? We’ll talk about those too. Because we want this video to be a bit special. Eliminating common misconceptions about Japan We want it to be a video set up to uplift. Yes. Some of it is wrong, some of it is incomplete. Let’s not say everyone is wrong. But it’s always like this, I mean every… let’s not take someone speaking in front of the camera as an expert. Also, double-check what we said. We can be mistaken. We’re just talking casually. There’s nothing, no text in front of us, no prompter. Is that right? Right. We can skip. We can make mistakes during the shoots. Every time, they write underneath like pitter patter, what happened, is this the new trend now? Tap tap tap, the subtitles are rolling and so on. Don’t trust even very reliable people, friends. Check it yourself. Even I look a thousand times when I say something myself. When something happens with someone, I look a thousand times. Okay. Information is not such an easy thing. This might be one of the most valuable places in this flavor guide. that really impressed me in Japan one of the places where I got the most flavor. Jikasei. Mensho. Jikasei Mensho. I went there for the first time in 2023. Let me explain it like this, friends. We went randomly, very hungry. I had a friend with me who doesn’t eat meat. Thanks to him. I had something like eating ramen with a friend who doesn’t eat meat. It’s Füsun, right? Yes. Füsun, you… But it’s a good thing she doesn’t eat meat. Thanks to her, I got to know something. Now I will also eat ramen with her. She also needs to eat something vegetarian. Actually, not even vegetarian. Vegan. For example, she doesn’t eat eggs either. After that, she occasionally eats a few other things. She loves cheese, but let’s say she’s a vegetarian. Close to vegan. But interestingly, we found this place. And that might be the best vegan dish I’ve had in Japan. Vegan tantanmen, and I’m a huge fan of tantanmen. The very existence of vegan tantanmen bothered me. As a perception. Because it really should be made with meat. It should be made with minced meat on top. Broth should be like that. So this should be thick. Dude, I had that. I was like, wow. Then I recommend it to everyone who comes. I also recommend it to those who write to me online. As Onur came, It has to be that one. Let me put it this way. I can’t compare the joy I got from that plate with anything. I came to Japan. I will finish that plate completely. Right now, I’m not finishing many plates here. I’m trying not to eat so I can try more places. I taste it and leave it. I taste it and can’t stop. I won’t forgive that plate. And I will go again before I leave here. We tried two plates there. One is vegan tantanmen and the other is tori paitan. Tori chicken. Tori paitan is cooked for a long time with bones. It’s something really rich. Are you eating chicken, or drinking chicken broth, it’s not clear. But they put a piece of Wagyu on top, right? There’s A5 Wagyu. There, depending on the situation, tori paitan or vegan tantanmen is, I think, better. Vegan tantanmen. I mean, the noodles in it are so good. I mean, they’re so good. Anyway, we’ll get to that noodle when we talk about ramen. When it comes to ramen, should we eat at a chain, or at a special place, we’ll discuss all of it. Maybe we’ll eat tonight. I think we should do an Ichiran. Let’s do Ichiran. Ichiran gets a lot of criticism. Oh my, can you eat ramen at a chain store? Honestly, it’s that good. It’s delicious. Ichiran is successful, guys. No one should talk bad about it. Now, you might have seen in the video that we didn’t eat much sushi in this video. But we ate sushi yesterday. We want to point that out to you. Because the number of choices here is almost limitless. Which one should we go to? You know what we had? We said Japan, boom, sushi. Okay, are we going to eat sushi? Are we going to eat sushi? That’s everyone’s question. Now, for example, I have a tour. My guests will come a few days later. Sushi. Where’s the sushi? Are we going to eat sushi? How many times are we going to eat, etc.? Let me say it from the beginning. These guys don’t eat sushi every day. There are open sushi restaurants every day, but they don’t eat sushi every day. Just like we don’t eat kebab every day, there are friends who do. It’s not healthy. They also don’t eat sushi every day. It’s more of a special occasion meal. I shouldn’t say special occasion, let’s not exaggerate too much. It needs a certain situation. You understand? It needs a special situation. I mean, it has to be something they crave. That’s the kind of food. So it’s not like that. They also, how should I put it. There are already a limited number of omakase restaurants. The capacity of omakases is certain. Omakase means the chef prepares something special for you. Something he decides that day. You know, what the chef sends you. It’s a system where he makes special dishes one by one. But those kinds of omakases are also limited, you know. They can be for 8 or 10 people or so. This is a city of 33 million. Who will it be enough for, you understand? That wouldn’t be enough either. One of the best systems is that they have taken this guy. Kaiten sushi. I mean, conveyor belt sushi. Conveyor belt. It flows in front of you, flows, flows, flows. Everyone must have seen it on TikTok or something. Of course, I mean, many people must have seen it in many places. We tried the version of it this time. We didn’t try the TikTok version. We said. We didn’t try the proper version. We also said we used a bit of ChatGPT. I won’t mention the brands from TikTok now. I’ll give them later in the video. We asked for the one that the Japanese go to. But we really went. Less showy. Without mayonnaise. Because it’s something that people are very curious about. No mayonnaises, truffles, or fried items in their sushi. Right? It’s a very standard thing. American style. Yes, yes. Or it becomes London style. They are new. New style sushi. They are not here. Let me tell you where we went. Kaitenzushi Nemuro, Hanamuru, Ginza. A place in Ginza. By the way, I think if you are going to shop, You need to check out the Ginza area. Ginza is like our Nişantaşı. All the luxury stores are there. There are also electronics stores there. And this thing about Yodobashi Akiba, Akihabara, Everyone says Yodobashi Akiba. Friends, Yodobashi is also in Kyoto. Yodobashi is also in Ginza. It’s everywhere anyway. Akihabara, yes, is an area where technological devices and so on are very dense. Should I say our huge Kadıköy Yazıcıoğlu? Think of it as a massive area like that, always like this, but According to Japan, I always tell everyone this. Don’t let yourself go in Akihabara. When you have time, from a nearby Yodobashi. Yodobashi is something like MediaMarkt. Or what else is left? There were things like Vatan Computer, right? But at the same time, there is another store at Bic Camera. Bic Camera and Yodobashi are also in Tokyo. They are also in Osaka. They are in all three: Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo. I think you should check it out. To see your needs, go to the first one you find and take a look. Look again at the second one you find. You can buy it at the third one or something. I don’t think the prices will change much. Generally, they are all quite large. You have to go to Akihabara for the Yodobashi issue. You don’t have to, friends. Is Akihabara very big? Yes, but what is inside it? Everything. Everything is there. They also sell toilet seats. They also sell alcohol. They also sell pharmacy items. It’s not just a technology store, you know. Once you go in, you can’t come out again. It’s a very chaotic place, you know. For example, I am talking about Tülin. I bought Nintendo games. For example. So you might feel a lot of palpitations. Let me say that from the beginning. So occasionally go in and out of Yodobashi and Bic Camera. Look, learn, and then go shopping just once. A tip from me. What do you say about the restaurant? The sushi restaurant is very simple, simple things were coming. There was no playing from the screen. I will take that to you again. We can go again either here or in Kyoto. They ordered like this from the tablet. There are also conveyor belts coming in front. We were writing on paper quite simply. Then they shout a bit again. Japanese people to each other. It was on the top floor of a shopping mall. It wasn’t something easy like that. That is also very interesting. For example, there was an art gallery on the second floor. On the third floor, there is a place where you can shop tax-free. Above that, there is a sushi restaurant. Get used to things in Japan. Always check the addresses. Look at which floor it’s on. Restaurants that are highly recommended to you are sometimes not at street level. It could be on the fifth floor, the seventh floor, or the eighth floor. Well, get used to this. I think the sushi restaurant was nice. It was a different experience. The prices were okay too. So there were plates in the range of 300-350. You can tell the price from the color of the plates, of course. There are croquettes too. So if you’re not just eating fish, you can eat different things as well. I mean, there are things that don’t contain fish. Let’s point that out specifically. Yes, yes. There is also a crowd that doesn’t like fish. There is also nigiri with meat. There is also meat. He put such a piece of meat for us. Well, from there too I’m moving on to another favorite spot. I mean, for us, this trip really is I can say it became my second favorite spot. What is that? The Gyoza from last night. We went to a gyoza place located in the Ebisu area. This is one of the recommended places you mentioned in the program. This place was highly recommended on Tablelog. The things we get recommendations for here, are points. They are also points shared by others. Generally, there may not be many standout points on Google. Let me warn you about that at the beginning. It seems like it’s a bit outside the city. Not everyone goes to Ebisu. People go as far as Shibuya, but they might not get off at Ebisu. After all, it’s also connected to Shibuya. I think Ebisu is a really nice place in terms of nightlife, cafes, and so on. I love it for that. There are nice bars. I think it’s a really beautiful place. They should definitely give it a chance. I mean, we ordered one portion each of this delicacy, this beauty. How many portions did we eat at the end of the day? Six? Eight? We ordered four double portions. So that’s just eight portions. We ordered the fried ones. Yes. And one portion of… We ate 9 portions of gyoza. 9×7 63 pieces. Very nice. For me I mean those two. First of all Jikasei Menso and Yasubei Of Ebisu. Both are very good. Both actually come from China. flavors. derived from China developed. We’ll get into that later. Actually we will talk about Japanese cuisine. we have one last stop left. It’s probably one of our favorite spots Bar Trench. Oh look Bar Trench is my thing. Red line. Isn’t it a red line? One. Look now, Cenk called. They are going to SG Club now. Bar Trench. Two. SG Club. Three. Unknown. These three bars are essential for me. It’s a must-have. But Bar Trench is very good. Because that’s the original place of Bar Trench. There are two places opposite each other. The original place is right at the corner of the bar, the place where I find peace. I am there. With Rogerio together. With tiny tiny tiny tiny words. The snacks that come with the cocktail there. you know. Such a thing cannot be. For a snack. Do you go to a place just for a snack? You can go. It goes there. I had four cocktails. Just that snack to be renewed. When you go there someone who wants booming music if you want a fun place like this, etc. That place not like that. That place when you go with your friend a place where you can chat in a low voice like this a sweet place where you will talk. You will raise your hands and stuff. That place is not like that. SG Club is a bit more like that. A bit more you can talk a bit louder but Bar Trench I think it’s a very quality venue. It’s a place to go with your partner. Yes. Or with a friend like this you chat with a friend you really love. By the way, It’s very close when you go to the dumpling place. Within walking distance. Let’s mention that too. All of them. Both of them are in Ebisu. You can go to both at once. But they should definitely go. Such a beautiful evening if they are going to spend (time), if they are going to drink beautiful cocktails They should go to Bar Trench. My regards let them say. It also came out on Netflix. That too yes yes there was that Netflix thing. It was mentioned in a documentary. Related to Japan it was featured in the documentary. I really liked it. The different stops we have been to for two days. these were. I think the video too thus enriched. More Will these be added? Those that will be added to these maybe it will. We will also share them on our Instagram accounts. we will share. By the way, while we’re at it let’s say. Burak’s and my Instagram accounts are below. So what does Burak do, About why he is here as well Let’s give some information. I organize tours. From Turkey I organize tours to different regions of the world. Where are these? For example, there is Mexico. There is Peru, the Amazon. There is Japan. There is Everest base camp. Japan is very popular these days. For Japan, the tours have increased. Demand has increased. For example, last week I took a group around here. I sent them off. I have a week of free time. I am filling that free time with this friend. I am filling it with pleasure. Now when he/she leaves or he/she will continue, I will On the 9th of the month, I will again go to Japan with my new group. I will continue to travel. I will stay for a few more days for myself. I will travel a little bit. For Instagram, I need to take separate shots for the posts. YouTube and Instagram don’t work together. It won’t be enough. Let me say that from the beginning. When you come to Japan, no matter how many days you plan, it won’t be enough. That’s why don’t worry too much about it. Even if you come for a week, it’s the same. Even if you come for 10 days, it’s the same. I think it’s been 8-9 days, I don’t remember how many. It’s still not enough. That’s why come for as many days as you can arrange. Then you can come again later. Okay, it’s a lot of money. Getting there, plane tickets, these are too much, but if you stress yourself out if you come with a very planned schedule, you’ll panic. Things get mixed up. Leave me alone. Many of my friends, for example, come here with a plan. They have a list. All of them can’t do half of what they plan to do every day. No, man. And there’s this situation. In Japan, you wait in line at places. But the lines always move quickly. That’s especially let’s point out. Let me say this. One. Japan means waiting in line. You will accept the line. Two. The thing called reservation. If your schedule is clear, make a reservation. Three. I’m saying it again. Only if you come to complete your checklist you will return without understanding anything. Then you look at the photos. Oh, this place is also very beautiful, you say. Don’t do this, friends. That checklist of yours cut it down by half once. Okay, shopping. you will do it. You will do these. Do it in the evenings. Explore the cultural areas during the day. Anyway, until 10 o’clock the stores are not open. Visit temples, etc. Until what time are the stores open? The stores are not open that much. It opens around 10-11 o’clock. Again around 10-11 o’clock. it can be closed. So you have a lot of time. precious. Others’ Japan’s don’t try to live. Let it be your own Japan. Well, that place has gone somewhere, I don’t know. I don’t know what. has gone here. We saw it while walking together today. So, the places in most of those written lists You that only 3-4 seconds of those moments you see. So, that enjoyable moment is just 3-4 seconds. How many minutes did it take to get there? Did he/she find a car? Did it get stuck in the sweat? What he/she ate Did you really like it? It’s all a mystery. That’s why you should living someone else’s life don’t bother too much. Let it be your own Japan. Go grab an egg sandwich and put it in your mouth. Coffee. If you don’t drink the best coffee you won’t die here. Look, Krispy Kreme, this is under our feet. It was there. Invalid There’s canned coffee at FamilyMart. You drink it and you’ll be quite happy. If those people are drinking it, you drink it too. So if a Japanese person is drinking this and happy here, you should too. you can be happy. Take your time with it at the moment you enjoy it like this when you separate it have a nice coffee. But during the day, to the cafe I need to do what’s on my list. There’s no need to find the best coffee shop. There’s no need to go 15 kilometers away to have coffee. Time is very valuable. And if you came in winter, the sun sets early. Is that right? That’s right. You should also take this into account. Let’s talk about something else. There was that place where I took a photo. Running to it, at the crosswalk where everyone is, or Shibuya. Dude, exactly the same, I’ve made those mistakes too. I have embarrassing photos there. So you, did these things. Now don’t waste your breath telling stories. That’s a story. Look, years later when you look at the photos, there will be a funny memory for me with the videos. Shibuya Crossing, the busiest crosswalk in the world. Because we can actually cross not just in one direction, but in different directions as well. At the same time, about 2500-3000 people are crossing. Don’t try to take the best photo. Because it has already been taken, there’s no such thing as I’ll take the best one. Most likely, you won’t be able to take the best photo either, and I won’t be able to take the best photo either. That’s why the silly photo that immortalizes that moment is the best. I do this with my friends. Jump, dude. Let me take a picture while you jump, let me take a picture while you fall, let me do something, but of course without disturbing the comfort of the people around you. Don’t be in pursuit of the best photo, be in pursuit of the most memorable photo, friends. Last question. I think it’s an important question for those coming to Japan. Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, or another place? The plane lands in Osaka. The Turkish Airlines plane is very nice, but for me, Osaka equals Mecidiyeköy. Now I’m going to eat something from Mecidiyeköy. You know what I mean by Mecidiyeköy. Noise, crowd, something like that. So when you come to Japan, it’s something I didn’t imagine. The chaos in Osaka. That’s why for me, Osaka is logistically very nice, but I have to go to Kyoto right away. I love Kyoto very much. I feel very peaceful there. I’m very happy. But sooner or later, I will be itching inside, saying let me go to Tokyo to complete something missing. Everything you look for is in Tokyo. Maybe it’s in Kyoto too, but a lot of things. A bigger version of Doğu Bank. A huge Doğu Bank. I mean, it’s a huge thing. That chaos exists, you know. Walmart is where everything is. A huge Walmart. After that, you find everything. But if you say you want to feel Japan, Nara and Kyoto will nourish you more, friends. Okay. So what are we doing? We’re heading towards the last stop. But don’t worry at all. Osaka and Kyoto guides will also come. We’re shooting those guides with Burak throughout this week. We’ll go through it very quickly, let me tell you. Bro, we need to urgently go to Kyoto. We’ll cut Osaka short. In case I get a warning in Osaka. But there’s one thing. It’s understandably a more complex place, right? That’s why it seems very colorful to people. Normal. What do they call such things? A lot of the colorful, chirpy TikTok videos on social media come from Osaka. True. But to Kyoto. Did I say it has to do with age? No. All the young friends I brought love it. Yes. I will take you to a place in Kyoto. The most ridiculous place, the place where I find the most peace. By the river. You’ll see that in the coming times. Everyone who comes on the tour knows it. That riverside is very good. If they’re watching, they should write it in the comments below. Riverside. How will people join your tours? Let’s say that too. Yes. I write my tours here. I do it through Sayga Travel. Sayga Travel. Kerimcan, Cihan, and Haldun are these three mutual friends. They’re all in the same age group. Yes. They are on the same wavelength. They had brought me the first offer. Asking if we could do tours together. I said you trust me. I trust you too. I really trust them, but they trust me as well. We said okay. We started. We hit the road. It’s going really well. Fun. I wasn’t expecting it to be like this. To be honest. It was a bit more like something for me. I wonder if controlling people this much is something, easy, not really, it’s very fun. I mean, everyone comes to travel to have fun. That’s why it’s enjoyable. I do it through Sayga Travel. You can message me or Sayga too. But I will probably respond late or not at all. Due to being busy. Please don’t take it as disrespect. If they write to Sayga, it will be faster. I’ll add Sayga’s account below. You can reach out from there too. So let’s not waste more time. I really love this pattern. Let’s continue to our next stop. We’ll go to Robatasho. Robatasho is very nice. It’s like izakaya again. Don’t explain, don’t explain. Bro, let me explain, izakaya. The guy will plan for another half an hour. They actually put everything you can think of inside FamilyMart. ATM. But this is not the one. Its rates are better. You can withdraw money with your own card. This thing, the hangover thing from last night. It supports the liver. These are things, you already know I gave them to you before. Yes. This is probably the sugar-free one. 12 vitamins. What is vitamin? There are 12 vitamins in this. This is the sugar-free one, this is probably the sugary one. These have things, there are minerals. These are useful, you know. But the most important thing is that they can drink this because it contains pork. This one has pork, this one doesn’t. Both contain a lot of turmeric. A, There are B vitamins in it too. But this one also has extra pork liver. Did you get cold? Take it from here. Is it raining? Take it from here. Sweatshirt, pants, tank top, socks. Everything is here. The ice cream you will eat is also this. Ice cream like between paper wafers. Sometimes it becomes very nice gyoza here. Go home, heat it in the microwave. You will exchange currency. Let’s see what the rate is? Very bad. 135? Very bad rate. What should it normally be? I mean, it would have been good if it was between 145-150 on this date, but this thing. Right now you can find it for 150 in the market anyway. But you know, there was an urgent need for something. Dude, withdraw from the ATM. Right. But if not, you can find it around. I mean, there is always boiled rice here. Look, do you know what this is? What do you think this is? It looks like salt. It is called Ajino Moto here. The brand name is like Selpak for us. MSG. Pocket-sized Kewpie mayonnaise. Kewpie mayonnaise is the mayonnaise of the Japanese. There are larger sizes of this here, but definitely carry the pocket size with you. Carry your own mayonnaise with you, bro. Get some of this when you leave. This one has another lid version, you know. Wasabi version. It tastes really good. Will it spoil on the plane? It won’t spoil. What is this, bro? Potato starch. There is olive oil here too. What else should I show you? There are also pill versions of the one with lard from earlier. There are those bag things sold at our hotel. Yes. Like that brewing thing. The version at 7-Eleven is nicer. Look, there are foods here, let me show you the ready-made rice you know, the ones with the red labels are hot, yes, this place is completely hot. By the way, some can be cold, some can be hot. All of these are hot drinks, okay? That’s related already, you know. This has an opening system on it. There are labels like one, two, three for that, you open them in order, one, two, three, look, come look here, what does it do, one, two, three? Pull one, two, three, one of the most famous things is this egg sandwich, you can put Famichiki in the egg sandwich, FamilyMart’s chicken is Famichiki. Sometimes there is potato salad here. Potato salad is really good. Sometimes I do this, when I’m alone sitting in my room crying, let me show you, you’ll hate what I eat, but finely chopped zucchini is very finely chopped, that’s why I pour sauce on it, but it’s healthy, I mean, it’s not a bad thing, but if I can’t find it here, I’ll do something, we’ll eat in the room. One of the biggest troubles is not being able to find cheese. Cheese is not a common thing here, ready-made like this, they can get cheese with things like cheese slices, etc. No matter how much you talk about Icharen ramen, it’s a really nice ramen, who is talking bad about it, bro? People talk bad against the chain like this, there’s a thing of talking without knowing. the cold versions of the coffees from earlier the first bottled green tea in this world ok, this is cold, and there’s a hot version over there this is an enhanced version of its catechin, look what it says here reduce body fat, meaning it reduces body fat. let’s see what else is there let’s say it claims to be something proven, I guess. this is how it is, let me show you, come here it’s actually dangerous, but it helps with weight loss because it reduces the absorption of fat. this helps with weight loss because it supports fat burning this, I mean, because it reduces fat absorption, for example we’re going to drink a fatty drink, so eat this beforehand drinking is nicer, but drinking this every day is better What were they not going to drink? come, come they might get mad at me, but I recommend this okay, there’s someone in the back filling those right now well, this one with plum, not everyone will like it, but this tastes like cumin, that’s why I like it. this contains five percent, so stay away from this, okay? this gets you drunk quickly, let’s say it mixes with the blood fast and nine percent alcohol, I think you should stay away from that. also, lemon beer is just like Radler just like how we eat a lot of stick crackers they eat a lot of this too this is actually potatoes, potato fries but they consume it a lot, to suppress the stomach like that. we want something, right? but we are stick cracker addicts they eat this too, look at this thing it’s not sour like what we eat, there are dried ones here there are chestnuts, dried things and there are cheeses, again snacks this snack is the best beer snack in Japan. Kakinotane, kakinotane, kakinotane because it’s called Kameda No. there are peanuts in it too, the main thing is that there are a lot of kakinotane, man this place never ends this place doesn’t end either there are different products in every store yes, some things can be added depending on their size do you know what is stolen the most in Japan? Umbrellas and bicycles. yes, because people don’t value umbrellas, they’re very cheap when someone needs one, they just take it and go. sometimes it mixes, it’s cheap. it’s around 120-200. the small ones are nice. which one? Oh yes. it even shows clothes, look this thing is for cold weather something that women really love pocket heater. you put it inside and throw it in. you are getting warm. in makeup products they show Don Quijote, right? yes, they should compare prices sometimes this Matsumoto Kiyoshi a widespread pharmacy network, drugstore here too, some medicines and makeup products can be more affordable not always, they should compare. Is it just makeup? or are there masks and stuff like that? that rice mask, acne cream, and so on are already available. When they arrived in Shinjuku I think they can find everything everywhere. there’s Godzilla at the back up there bro, on these wide streets I love the whole crossing the street thing. yes yes but we shouldn’t collide in the meantime everyone should walk on the left everywhere especially in subways, on the road there’s something strange in Osaka we arrived at Robatashoya look, let me show you the logo here there’s a system where they grill with robata they will serve us what they cooked with a shovel from there the robata grill the staff working in such East Asian or Japanese restaurants know this too it’s a special type of grill here for us too they will slowly serve the flavors coming from the grill. Let’s go then. It will come as we order. It will come as we order. Robatasho. Robatasho. Let’s see. We arrived early, but I think there might be a place. Is this the shovel? Exactly, it’s the shoveler. Wow. Oven shovel. Are we going to sit like this? You’re hiding your feet down, don’t be afraid. Oh, nice. How’s the experience? Different. It’s valuable for my brother. These are very friendly, YouTube friendly, that is. When I say YouTube, they like the thing. The conversation. Yes, yes, a very fun team. Oh, are we taking off our shoes? Of course, of course. Get well soon. Both we’re starting to eat, and… Come on, brother, here’s the potato salad I made with my own hands. Warm. Our karaage chicken. Our favorite thing, is our fried chicken. Exactly. Like this. Very nice. But we still tried to do something here. There is. We generally tried to order from there. This is a fryer, but most of the food will come from there. But it’s very nicely fried. Did you find the karaage… we won’t forgive. It’s collapsing. The chicken is also very good. Very good. But it was a bit oily. I must confess that. Okay, very nice. The best potato salad I’ve had in Japan. You might notice, it’s a bit noisy around. This is actually the feature of the izakaya concept. Both a bar and a restaurant, the two in one. A true Japanese izakaya. And you have to take off your shoes, you know. This place we’re in right now is a true Japanese izakaya. How do we know this, we know it from the noise. I want to eat this with my hands. Is it appropriate? Of course it’s appropriate. Delicious. Very nice. It surprised the girl. The girl was surprised by you. Shall I give you potato salad? We have to eat a little less. Serve it. Potato salad? Yes. So generous. Great. Wow. What do you feel when you first come here? Warmth. I only take off my shoes at home. By the way, this is also present in some countries in Asia. Not just in Japan. I know that in Vietnam, you can enter an optician’s shop without shoes. Really. A friend is teaching us too. I don’t want to say everything is very nice but unfortunately, it is very nice. Here comes the sweet potato. The show we just saw is already clear. They put butter on it. They drizzled honey. Of course, the most important thing is that before the honey, they burned it with charcoal. Yes. What is really here? It’s one of today’s specials. There is calamari. With every tempura, salt comes like this. Sometimes normal salt. Sometimes shiso salt. Sometimes wasabi salt. But salt always comes. Dip it in salt and eat. Dip it in salt and eat. We don’t really need more today, though. Salt? Salt makes us strong. What are you doing, man? What are you doing, man? Isn’t it really good? Isn’t it really good? This is not tempura, this is something else. I mean, this is our Turkish style, you know? Dude, it’s really good. It has completely covered the dough, but it’s very nice. I mean, I have to show this. Incredible. Incredible, I mean. I’m diving into the potato. Go, go, go. Like this. Do you really like sweet potatoes? Very much. I noticed that today. You’re in the right country. These people like it too. It’s coming. Are you ready? A potato salad is coming from the next table now. You’re kidding. You first. You first. Then maybe… First of all, you… please. This is an investment. They call this an investment. Yes, different. You give them the cold potato. They give you hot potatoes when they are new. How? Very good. But this is not the style I’m used to. I mean, our sweet potatoes are a bit different. This gives a feeling of eating chestnuts. Intense, it gives a more intense taste on the palate. Very nice. Thank you. Thank you. That’s enough, right? Thank you very much. Thank you very much. If they think we will serve tempura, they are mistaken. I liked the calamari. Especially with lemon, it was better with acidity. When dipped in salt… Acidic things also absorb the oil. It absorbs the weight of the oil. It became really strange when dipped in salt. Now sometimes it gets very mixed up. Where is yakitori? Where is izakaya? Yakitori places only serve yakitori. On skewers and so on. It may not only be chicken but these skewers are always what they call skewers. They always serve those. In izakayas, there may also be a yakitori menu sometimes. Every izakaya is actually a yakitori place. No izakaya contains yakitori. But not every yakitori means izakaya. Yes. Izakaya is different. This is izakaya, a tavern. Yes. But in a yakitori place, there is only yakitori. It comes from that. Izakaya can also have yakitori. They serve tempura on the side. Tavern. Wow. We ordered a gyoza with vegetables on the outside. The outside… This is with shiso pepper or not? Shiso. Actually, that shiso is Japanese basil. Let me show you. How is it? Hot. How’s the taste? The taste is nice. They say you eat it with this. Is it acidic, I wonder? Wow. Nice. Oh. Oh. Very spicy. Spicy, but first the acidity comes. Then a spicy hit comes. But it hits at the same time, you know. There is both pepper and yuzu in it. Inside of it. That sour taste comes from yuzu. A freshness is also coming on one side. It’s hot, but I’m eating it. It’s very nice because. See you. They will pour something on it, but let’s see what it will be. Thing. Ooo. Katsuobushi. Our shrimp mayonnaise has arrived. Our shrimp with mayonnaise. When we share a place like this. one of our biggest troubles. After sharing this place, there will be a lot of influx, etc. Yes. It should be here, right? It should be here. You need to experience it here. Definitely. If you are coming to Japan, this place is really… Sometimes they write strange things. Bro, don’t share this place either. Come on, what shouldn’t I share about this, bro? It means it should be special for you. No, dear. I think everyone should come here. For example. Really? This? Aren’t you going to eat? You should eat this first. Let me take this plate so it cools down a bit. Bro, this can’t be real. Oh my God. Because the tempura is that good. Enjoy your meal. How is it? Look, it’s nice. If they had put a little bit of that red sauce in this mayonnaise. It would be dynamite shrimp. It would. Our Wagyu is coming. Now, Our Wagyu has arrived. Take the piece you want. The piece I want is small. I want to take the small piece, brother. I want to salt this a bit. There is very nice salt here. Our original wasabi. For those who love these kinds of flavors. There is horseradish there too. Should we call it mountain radish? Yes. An interesting radish. They use it a lot here. We will say one more. Is that how it happened? Won’t it save us? No way. Look. What happened? How? We will say one more. It was obvious from this. Bro, it’s so beautiful. The meat is very nice. Fatty. Like butter. Which part is this? But! But! I didn’t expect such beautiful meat. And the guy cooked it over low heat. This Kobe meat, Wagyu meat. What is the difference between Wagyu meat and Kobe meat? Where is Kobe? What does it do? Should we explain those too? The place this comes from is near Osaka. Kobe. Kobe is also near Osaka. Close, exactly. So it’s like saying Trakya curly lamb meat. Of course, dear. They say I ate Kobe meat. Animals raised in the Kobe region. Coming from farms in Kobe, Something unique to Kobe. And there are better farms, right? The word Kobe doesn’t promise you flavor. The word Kobe only tells you where the meat comes from. The quality of the meat that comes, the yield, etc. is completely variable. So the meat coming from Kobe has a chance of being worse than this, This has a chance of being worse, All of it is possible. Just saying Kobe is not enough. Did it come from Kobe? Class A or Class B? You know I told you before, A and B are actually something between us and the butcher and the producer. 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 is just like you guessed, it’s something that shows how many of them there are as it goes up to 5. It shows the fat content. Actually, when we say fat, we mean how efficient it is, that is, how well the fat is distributed. The marbled texture. Yes, It’s not about being fatty, it’s actually about how the fat is distributed. Today we are experiencing a special day. Yes. Sometimes we do a lot of things like this, we get obsessed, right? Japanese knife, Japanese steel knife, forged knife, let’s say. Look man, what is the guy dealing with? It’s quite plain, bought from the market. It’s a knife, right? Right. It’s not stainless, steel, it’s a knife. I’m saying this to criticize, but he can do his job with it. The other one is really difficult. I mean, taking care of it, sharpening it from time to time, etc. Because the hardness level is very different. One may seem very valuable but it may require a lot of maintenance. It may need to be sharpened frequently. The guy is doing his job with something great. He’s a master in his work. Man, it’s really good. Look at him, like a chef, the conductor of the orchestra. He manages everyone around the robata grill perfectly. Exactly. It was a very nice meal. Honestly. Honestly, it was very beautiful. I mean. I’m very happy right now. This might be the most fun I’ve had lately. And this, there’s also a thing here. Man, where else is there constant service? You take off your shoes and come in. There’s a joke about a shovel going in his mouth. This is the place. Let’s ask for the bill. We said this was the last stop, but. Let’s make one more stop. Where? Let’s show ramen first. Ichiran. I thought you wouldn’t ask at all. Ichiran. Let’s go to Ichiran, man. And let’s go to Ichiran. I got scared for a moment. I wondered if we would sleep without going to Ichiran. A Tokyo guide isn’t complete without ramen, man. Always. Yes, our bill has arrived. Total is 13,169 Yen. That makes 3,611 lira. We drank beer. For 3,600 lira. 3 of them. Or I had one more. Did you drink one more? But. Don’t count the beer right now. Amazing food for 3,600 lira. Amazing. Shitake mushrooms 620. Sweet potato 680. These are in Yen, by the way. Fried chicken 680. Potato salad 580. Beers cost 2100. Enjoy your meal. This move is a heart emoji, by the way. Total is 13,169. Really, this place is very nice. Now let’s go. And let’s eat ramen. Because you can’t be in Japan without ramen. You can’t. These are my reasons for loving the place we’re going. You can also customize one according to your preferences. So you can say you want it thicker, you want the garlic like this, the spice level to be this. It’s really nice. Like… The Starbucks of ramen. Let’s pay here. Then we’ll see you there. Let’s escape. Normally, there are special packages for those who want extra meat, extra ingredients. Well, I think, I think the best is. To get a regular one and add an egg on the side. Okay. That’s it. Here for us, there was the dashi part of this thing, the one with the broth. Yes. Should it be light, medium, or strong? That’s what it says. I usually choose medium. If you look at it in terms of flavor aroma, you can also choose extra spicy. Is that okay? Alright. You can specify the amount of garlic. You can say one more extra. Okay. This is still free. If you want two, it goes to paid. Do you want green onions? Don’t you want them? So do you want the green part, or the white part? After that, you choose that. Here you also say how many slices of that thing you want. Okay. This one. After that. And the level of spiciness. Yes. The noodle texture is very important. Medium or soft list. Okay. It turns out very nice. Then I will give it. I will say something. You will eat something very nice. Honestly. Honestly. I really love it, man. The best entertainment to do in Tokyo at night. The beauty of this place is this. Open every hour. Open 24 hours. Not every branch, but most branches. Some branches, like these central ones, are open 24 hours. And the chain. A chain in Japan. Chain. This is the Starbucks of ramen, man. Yes. For example, that thing is very nice. You come across it and you never see their face. Of course. You don’t interact with anyone at all. You don’t interact with anyone. You placed your order from there. You came here. You filled it up. Then they prepare it for you. Look, not even that is there. Hello. What are you eating? For example, if I did it to the girl next to me, she would call the police. Yes. There are things we hung up here. For example, if you press the bell and put this here. He says, what is the status of my order stage? you can show it. Do you know what is here later? You are slowly saying that you will leave from here. You are saying that you will leave my chair. Delete the style of the mil. You can say that this place is very noisy, for example. You can complain that this place is very noisy. Yes I am very excited. I poured a little vinegar. First, I am mixing it. This is exactly the consistency you want, you know? Then when the noodles are done again… Yes, he ate the noodles. He ate and ate. There is still some broth left. He put it on the thing in front. He had already bought it from the beginning. He rang the bell and said that thing over there. One more thing for me. Look, it says on the paper on that stick. Extra noodles. He asked for half a portion or a full portion of that. He rang the bell. They also put the card down. Let’s see. The more you slurp it up, the better it gets, right? Respect… to the person who prepared it, eating this makes you sweat a little bit because it’s a bit like head and feet soup. It’s quite hot. There’s a bit of spiciness too. Yes. The egg is here. You can split this in half like this, this way. Those who eat should tell those who don’t. Now they will say, can there be an egg in the soup? Yes, there can be. The spiciness looks very nice. Very good. Oishi. Oishi. I took a break from the noodles. I will drink a little soup. This system needs to be brought. There is a video on the channel. There are Japanese flavors in Istanbul on the channel. You can watch it. Is this system available, brother? I am asking about the system. So is it like a closed environment? Yes. There isn’t like that. Everyone here is like a sauce to each other. Bro, it’s very nice. The broth is very nice, once. Oh, take it away. Hmm Burak, how much is this? Maximum 500 lira. 425 lira. Chain and expensive. There are ramen options that are cheaper. Is it worth getting excited about? Very nice. I really loved it. But I’m full now. We ate a lot today. I feel like we shot a video with Cenk once. Like it was just the other day. Really? But what was sashimi again? It should have been sashimi. Honestly, it was like that. Trains stop at 24:00. So if you want to return to the hotel. Some trains are at 00:30. Before turning into a pumpkin. But I think the best is to base it on 24:00 as you said. Actually, many places close. Yes, yes. I’m just saying, so that they don’t get misled by looking at a certain line. For example, Asakusa might end at 12:00. They should check well. There’s something on Tabelog. Where? On the Tabelog site, you can see the working hours of restaurants by filtering. Yes. The filter says something. Places that are open until the morning train arrives. Ah. So places that are open until the morning trains start. So you can hang out outside. Yes, yes. We’ve come to the end of the Tokyo Food Guide. We hope you enjoyed the video. A final like a final. Burak really gave me an amazing tour. If you want to join this tour and be part of more. You can explore Japan with Burak. I especially mention that. You can get information about this topic from the Saygatravel site. Of course, thank you very much. When I started sharing things about this place I received a lot of recommendations on my Instagram account. Of course, we don’t have the chance to go to all of them. But I will definitely come back to Japan. Japan is a different world. Isn’t it? Definitely not from this planet. It has nothing to do with this planet. You feel this thing in most countries in Africa. There is a cultural difference, I don’t know what other differences there are, but in Japan, there is something completely different. Yes. The demeanor of the people, their movements, etc., this is another concept. This place is not from this world. No. It’s really like that. Well then, we’ve come to the end of the video. If you liked the video, please hit the like button, if you’re not subscribed, please subscribe, you know it’s very important to me. It always honors me when you join us. That’s why we have a round of applause, you know. So subscribing, liking, means applause. Thank you very much for following me. I will be with you in a new video next Thursday. I have something to say. Should they follow the Gurukafa YouTube account? YouTube account. I have something to say. I’m sneaking in here. Guerrilla marketing. Okay. I have 10,000 followers but no video. If it reaches 20,000, maybe I’ll make a video. Then it will start. You can also follow Gurukafa’s Instagram and YouTube accounts. And of course, don’t forget that there will be a new video next week, but it won’t be about Japan. The Japan guide, that is, the Osaka and Kyoto guide, will be available to watch in the future. I think you can consider them when you come. That will be very nice too. Yes. Next week on Thursday at 7 PM I will be back with a new video. See you soon. Goodbye. Bye bye. Thank you very much.

Hepiniz iyi ki varsınız. ❤️
🌹🌹
MUTHIS MUTHIS MUTHIS .Uffff Tokyo bekle beniii!🎉
