Hotel101 Global Holdings Corp. topped off its 482-room Hotel101-Niseko project in Hirafu, Hokkaido, Japan on December 5, 2025, marking the structural completion of what will become the largest hotel in the area by room count.
The milestone ceremony signals the start of full-scale interior finishing works, with the property on track to open by December 2026, just in time for the 2026–2027 winter season.
Located on a 1.17-hectare prime site just two minutes by shuttle from the Grand Hirafu ski lifts, Hotel101-Niseko will offer travelers unmatched access to one of the world’s most popular alpine destinations.
Hotel101-Niseko introduces the brand’s signature “condotel” model to Japan, combining hotel-like convenience with condo-style ownership, supported by Filipino hospitality and advanced property technology.
“More than just a hotel, Hotel101-Niseko introduces an innovative ‘condotel’ model that combines exceptional value with world-class amenities and unmistakable Filipino warmth,” the company said in a statement.
All 482 units are identically designed with space-efficient layouts, catering to a range of guests including families, couples, and ski groups.
Amenities will include an all-day dining restaurant, indoor swimming pool, hot mineral onsen bath, sauna and wellness center, business facilities, ski-in/ski-out access, and a complimentary shuttle service to the ski lifts. A 24-hour front desk, ski lockers, and an on-site convenience store will also be available.
Hotel101-Niseko is situated in the heart of Hirafu, near Niseko’s renowned powder snow, dining hotspots, and après-ski scene.
Niseko, a once-quiet village, now draws more than two million international visitors each year from over 30 countries, securing its place as Asia’s premier ski destination.
“With the rise of Hotel101-Niseko, a bold new landmark joins this global playground—proof that Filipino innovation and hospitality have earned their place among the very best in the world,” the statement added.
Hotel101 Global Holdings Corp., traded on the Nasdaq under ticker HBNB, had a market capitalization of approximately USD 1.9 billion as of November 27, 2025.
The asset-light hospitality firm generates revenue both from pre-selling hotel units during construction and from recurring operations after opening. The company is a subsidiary of DoubleDragon Corporation, which is listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange under ticker DD.
Hotel101 and its affiliates currently have nine properties in various stages across the Philippines, and three overseas developments underway in Hokkaido (Japan), Madrid (Spain), and Los Angeles (United States).
In May 2025, Hotel101 signed a deal with Saudi Arabia’s Horizon Group to potentially develop up to 10 hotels in the Kingdom, pending final agreements.
The company aims to operate 1 million rooms across 100 countries worldwide, with 25 target countries prioritized in the medium term.
DoubleDragon Corporation emphasized the global potential of the Hotel101 model, calling it a “novel asset-light concept and highly unique business model” that can be scaled worldwide.
“The global expansion of Hotel101 is expected to eventually become one of the major US Dollar inflow generators to the Philippine economy,” the company said.
“The DoubleDragon team is committed to put in the necessary hard work, entrepreneurial grit and perseverance towards this vision and eventually aims to make Hotel101 a truly global brand operating in various jurisdictions worldwide, and eventually bring a pinch of pride and honor to our fellow Filipino countrymen.”
