The tennis off-season is marked by several exhibition events, featuring Top players in the world. This year, it will be no different, as December 6 and 7 will see two high-profile exhibition events in Atlanta and New Jersey, featuring Aryna Sabalenka and Carlos Alcaraz, the World No. 1 in women’s and men’s tennis, respectively.

Naomi Osaka To Feature in Atlanta Cup Alongside Aryna Sabalenka, Nick Kyrgios, Ben Shelton

Named the Atlanta Cup, four top stars of the tennis world have assembled in Atlanta to play on December 6. The women’s match is a huge draw as World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka will face off against former World No.1 Naomi Osaka. Both are the four-time Major champions, with Sabalenka capping off another 60-plus win season in 2025. The two have met once on the Tour, at the 2018 US Open, where Osaka won in three sets.

The men’s match in Atlanta will feature Nick Kyrgios and Ben Shelton. Both are dynamic players and are coming back from injuries. While Kyrgios has been largely out of action due to injuries in the last few years, Shelton suffered an unfortunate injury during the US Open this year. With Kyrgios being out of action for most of the time when Shelton has been active, it is not a surprise they have n’t met on the Tour before.

The Atlanta Cup will be held at the Gas South Arena.

Carlos Alcaraz Will Be In Action In New Jersey

World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz will be in action at an exhibition event, playing against Frances Tiafoe at the Prudential Center in New Jersey. Alcaraz is coming on the back of an astounding season as the Spaniard has won 8 titles from 10 finals in 2025 and wrestled the No.1 ranking from his rival, Jannik Sinner.

On the other hand, Tiafoe’s season has been lukewarm as he did not win any titles and had one runner-up finish in Houston. On the Tour, these two have always had great battles, but it is the Spaniard who has a 2-1 edge in the head-to-head.

The women’s match will be an All-American affair, as Jessica Pegula will take on Amanda Anisimova. While Pegula had another routinely consistent season, winning three titles, Amanda Anisimova took the WTA Tour by storm with her performances.

She had two runner-up finishes at Wimbledon and the US Open, and won two WTA 1000 titles. However, Pegula has a 3-0 head-to-head record against Anisimova on the Tour, but the duo did not meet this year. With the set of players involved at both these events, audiences will be glued to their screens, taking in all the fun-filled tennis action.
