It seems like Katy Perry has reached the first-lady stage of her rumored romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. While the pair has been reportedly linked since July 2025—after separating from their respective exes, Orlando Bloom and Sophie Grégoire—they’ve kept details about their connection pretty slim.

However! We just got a little more insight into their budding relationship thanks to a December 4 social media post from the former Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, who referred to the “Harleys in Hawaii” singer as Justin’s “partner,” according to X’s translation.

“Former Canadian Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau visited Japan with his partner and joined my wife and me for lunch,” he wrote, in part, alongside a group photo with the pair.

Justin only added fuel to the dating rumors when he responded to Fumio’s post, where he wrote, “Great to see you @kishida230. Katy and I were so glad to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko.”

Back in September, insiders told Us Weekly that Katy and Justin were keen on keeping their connection “private” for a while. “They’ve decided to be much more private about it,” a source told the outlet. “They are still speaking and are very interested in each other.”

A second insider added that the pair weren’t “serious” at the time because of his politician duties and her “extremely busy” Lifetimes Tour schedule. However, they noted that Justin and Katy had plans to see each other IRL after she wrapped her run of shows in Brazil at the end of September. “Katy is taking it day by day but is very open to dating,” they added.
