Traffic restrictions in place for Dec. 7 Naha Marathon

With the annual Naha Marathon expected to take place Dec. 7, traffic restrictions will be in place on that day in the southern parts of Okinawa’s main island.

Runners will leave Ounoyama Athletic Park near Naha Military Port at 9 a.m. and head north on Route 58 and Kokusai Street before heading south on Routes 330, 507, and 331. Traffic restrictions will be in place around the course between 8:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. The time varies depending upon each section of the course.

If you are planning to go to Naha City or head down south on Sunday, please be aware that traffic could be slow. You can also call 050-3786-7855 to ask information on the traffic restriction in English. This hotline will be available between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Dec. 7.
