교토 아라시야마 kyoto arashiyama

Today’s itinerary is to go to Arashiyama.
It’s nice that there’s less fine dust than in Seoul. It’s about a 15-minute walk, so we walked from Shijo Station to Shijo-Omiya Station, enjoying the streetscape. My wife is busy taking photos for Instagram since morning today. As I walked, I arrived quickly. They said we could pay the Randen fare when we got off, so we boarded right away. There were more people using the Randen train than I expected, so I couldn’t take any videos while we were on the train. There is a toilet inside the station, so it would be useful if you need to use the toilet while passing by. After leaving Arashiyama Station and following the crowd,
I felt like this was the main gate of Tenryuji Temple, so I changed direction. My wife was amazed to see a rickshaw for the first time in Japan. As I was walking, I arrived at the entrance of Tenryuji Temple.
Tourists were lining up to take pictures under the maple tree at the entrance. We should have prepared cash in advance, but since mobile and card payments worked well, we forgot. We emptied our wallets and entered. My wife was busy taking pictures before we even reached the center of the garden. To Koreans and Japanese, it’s just another temple and garden,
but Westerners seem to find it fascinating. It had been a long time since I had been here, but there were still a lot of people in the garden. If we’d arrived a week later, it would have been the perfect time for the fall foliage, which was a shame. No matter how crowded, my wife can’t miss out on Instagram photos. And then it was lunchtime so we went to the restaurant we saw on YouTube. It was delicious and friendly. We visited %Coffee after lunch.
When we arrived, we were skeptical of the people waiting, but they were all waiting for coffee. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I received 1 espresso, 1 Americano, and 1 cafe latte. My wife, who doesn’t even know what %Coffee is, was eagerly taking photos to prove it. Waiting for coffee with the river in the background,
and drinking coffee while looking out at the river, were both wonderful. The road to Bamboo Road was incredibly crowded. We were walking and when we reached the end of the forest, my wife pointed up, so I looked up. The wind was blowing, the trees were swaying, and the atmosphere suddenly felt like the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Warabi mochi is enough to experience once.
I don’t think I need to eat it. We headed back into the city, did some quick grocery shopping, and headed back to the hotel. Life (mart) like Korea’s E-Mart and Lotte Mart. Because we felt like we had wasted time, we went to see Kawaramachi and Nishiki Market in the evening. Then, naturally, we entered Don Quijote.

일본 교토여행 이틀째 우리는 아라시야마에 갑니다.
아라시야마는 대나무숲으로 유명한 곳입니다.
단풍이 시작되었고, 많은 관광객이 있었습니다.

On our second day in Kyoto, Japan, we head to Arashiyama.
Arashiyama is famous for its bamboo forests.
The leaves have begun to change color, and there are many tourists.
