The end of autumn… Where is this beautiful place to stop by before going camping? Hello, I’m YeonYoo. I happened to see a photo of this place on social media, and the moment I saw it, I felt like drawing it. It’s even more exotic and beautiful in person. It looks like a gradation of autumn colors. I remember the colors with my eyes and capture the shapes with photos. Now, let’s move to a nearby camping spot and continue our art journey. I visited this place only two months ago, but I’ve changed into clothes for a different season since then. Today, I’m going to enjoy camping in a different location than last time. It’s full of the atmosphere of transitioning from fall to winter. OkHee and I are going to take a quick look at the view in front of our cabin today. The tranquil and beautiful scenery remains the same. It’s getting quite late now because we stopped by Onbit Recreational Forest this morning. It’s cold, so let’s get set up and enjoy the warmth. I always get excited when I open the back door after expanding. I wonder what the window view will be like today?☺️ It’s a lonely, beautiful scene, just as I expected. It looks like OkHee is also enjoying today’s scene. Last year, the wood-burning stove closet cracked and broke after only two uses. I commissioned it last year, spending a considerable amount of money on it… So this time, I consulted with my usual woodworking shop and installed brickwork on one wall. This is the first time I’ve used a wood stove in my truck this winter, so I’m excited and a bit worried. Today, I arrived at the camping site and wasted a lot of time trying to find a spot for my car. Because of that, the sun is already setting in the west. I also changed the curtains to winter curtains to block out the cold wind. I’ll fill it with plenty of firewood so you can stay warm tonight. Thankfully, the fire is starting without a hitch. Phew… Last year, when I first used the wood stove in my truck, it was full of smoke and a mess. Still, I’m patting myself on the back for growing so much in just one year.☺️ Thanks to the wood stove, the inside of the truck is quickly warmed up. It got hot Hoppang(Korean steamed bread), the thing that comes to mind when I think of winter! I’m going to satisfy my hunger with some. What flavor of Hoppang(Korean steamed bread) do you like? I like sweet red bean and pizza-flavored hoppang (Korean steamed bread)☺️ It’s been so long since I’ve had Hoppang(Korean steamed bread), so it tastes even better. I’m going to cook some broccoli, OkHee’s favorite, for her, who’s hungry. OkHee has allergies, so I mix it with her health food. After changing her diet a bit, the scratching has almost disappeared. Now, I’ll prepare my meal. Today’s menu is beef radish soup and braised tofu. (Scallion) (Kelp) I seasoned it with soy sauce, anchovy stock, and minced garlic, then simmered it vigorously. This is my homemade braised tofu seasoning. And now, healthy and delicious braised tofu is ready. (Yeolmu Kimchi) It’s the radish soup my grandmother used to make often when I was young. It reminds me of that taste. Actually, I’ve been feeling unwell lately, so I’m trying to eat healthy, even when I’m out. Eating like this makes me feel better and healthier. The slightly scary cry of a deer crowing echoes through the air. OkHee seems startled, too. I can’t forget tangerines in winter. (Anne of Green Gables) I love Anne’s positive and romantic thoughts. It’s a story I never tire of watching. I think OkHee is in a bad mood. I’ll sleep with a kerosene heater instead of a wood stove. The happiest time of the day is when I play with OkHee before bed. I wake up to this spectacular sight. This morning scenery makes me feel like I’m in another world. I start my day by taking OkHee for a walk and breathing in the fresh air. Starting the day with this rare sight, I think I’ll be lucky today. I’m planning on having a simple beef quesadilla and a cup of coffee for breakfast. The new wooden teacup I bought seems a bit small. 😂 Even though OkHee is still young, she’s always full of energy. It’s the kind of weather that makes you want to take a nap in the cozy, warm sunshine. Today’s painting is based on the Autumn Postcard series. I’m going to paint the exotic scenery of the Onbit Natural Recreation Forest I visited yesterday morning. Do you consider yourself lucky? Actually, I thought I was unlucky. The things I was chosen for were all on the bad side. The skin disease I recently contracted called herpes was one of them. It’s like a herpes outbreak on your hands and feet, but they say there’s no cure because it’s so rare worldwide. For a moment, I was discouraged, thinking, “I’m out of luck again.” But then I thought, “It’s not that serious, and what can I do about it now that it’s already there?” With a positive mindset like Anne’s, I can create small but happy moments. I’m trying to focus on luck – You are already enough as you are. I want to give you the gift of autumn, a short but beautiful season.
