From their beginnings in Canada to a birthday trip to Paris, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have been on quite the honeymoon during the first year of their budding romance. And now, they’ve taken things to Tokyo.
Photographed walking through the city’s popular tourist area Asakusa, the couple kept things casual in perfect sightseeing fits. For Perry, who made her way to Japan ahead of her Lifetimes Tour shows, this meant a monochrome look. The pop singer matched her tan baseball cap to her cargo pants and Adidas sneakers, and finished off the fit with a brown leather jacket. And, for a bit of safety and discretion, she topped it all off with a face mask.
The former Canadian prime minister, on the other hand, went for classic jeans and a black jacket, with a baseball cap and Adidas sneakers of his own. The lovebirds looked in sync as they stepped out hand-in-hand for dinner and a show at Asakusa Sumo Stable Annex, known for live sumo wrestling matches and traditional Japanese dining.

Perry and Trudeau first sparked romance rumors over the summer in Montreal, before packing on the PDA in Santa Barbara on the singer’s yacht. However, it wasn’t until October that the pair made things official with their first public appearance, heading to Paris to celebrate Perry’s birthday with a cabaret show at the Crazy Horse Paris.
This marked Perry’s first relationship since ending her six-year-long engagement and nine-year-long relationship with Orlando Bloom, which whom she has continued to co-parent five-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom. Trudeau, likewise, has been raising his three children with ex-wife Sophie Grégoire, whom he divorced in 2023.
