Hilton has announced plans to open its second Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in Japan, with the Kyoto Brighton Hotel set to rebrand under the Curio Collection by 2028.
Hilton has signed an agreement with Brighton Corporation to convert the Kyoto Brighton Hotel into a Curio Collection by Hilton property. The rebranded hotel is scheduled to open in the winter of 2028 following a comprehensive renovation. The hotel will feature approximately 160 guest rooms, four dining outlets, a banquet space for up to 240 guests, and a fitness center. Brighton Corporation will continue to manage the hotel after the conversion.
The Kyoto Brighton Hotel will join a portfolio of over 190 hotels under the Curio Collection by Hilton. This will be the second Curio Collection property in Japan, following the opening of the first in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, in 2018. The Curio Collection has also recently expanded in Asia with openings in Thailand and China.
Hilton currently operates five hotels across four brands in Kyoto. The addition of the Curio Collection aims to cater to the diverse needs of travelers visiting the city.
The Curio Collection by Hilton is part of the Hilton Honors loyalty program, which offers members benefits such as flexible payment options and access to digital services via the Hilton Honors app.
