The Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, is pleased to present the exhibition Roppongi Crossing 2025: What Passes Is Time. We Are Eternal.

Roppongi Crossing is a series of co-curated exhibitions, stage every three years at the Mori Art Museum. The series launched in 2004 for the first time to provide a snapshot of Japan’s contemporary art scene at a particular moment in time. For this eighth edition, curators from the Mori Art Museum will join by two internationally active Asian guest curators to present total of twenty-one artists/artist groups under the theme of “time” – including those active in Japan regardless of nationality, as well as those based overseas with Japanese roots.

The exhibited works encompass not only painting, sculpture, and video, but also crafts, handicrafts, zines, and even community projects. Through the convergence of the unique, temporal experiences each work offers, this exhibition seeks to reexamine Japanese art from multiple perspectives.
