The Kobe Beef vs. Wagyu Beef Showdown!
Oh, and we found some Wagyu and Coobe. And it’s half price. How can you pass up on that? I am so excited for these little beef skewers. And I got a coobe one and a Wu one so we can compare them. And they come with a little colorcoded base on them so I don’t get them confused. We’re going to start with the red coobe, which is where we might be going next in our next video. I mean, let’s try this one out. M. Wow, that is spectacular. It’s fatty and again, it almost has a sweet flavor to it. So delicious and melting in my mouth. You got to try that when you come here. And now for the famous Wagu. Check that bad boy out right there. Mhm. M. So the Wu is a little bit more meaty. Not quite as fatty and again just like a real steak kind of flavor. Definitely what you’re looking for. But I think that the coobe has taken this one. Delicious. And remember, no beef, no life. Words to live by.
I found half-price Kobe beef and Wagyu beef skewers in Osaka at the Kuromon Market— and there was no way I was walking past that. This Osaka street food stall serves both types of premium Japanese beef, so I grabbed one of each to compare them side by side.
The Kobe beef skewer was rich, fatty, buttery, and insanely tender — the kind of flavor that melts the moment it hits your tongue. The Wagyu beef skewer was a little more meaty, less fatty, and packed with that classic grilled steak flavor. Both were delicious, but Kobe took the win for me.
If you love Osaka street food, Kobe beef in Japan, or want to see what real Japanese Wagyu tastes like, this is the perfect bite to try on your next trip. Remember… no beef, no life.
