Uzumasa Kyoto Village to Partially Reopen After First-Phase Renewal in March 2026

Toei Uzumasa Eigamura (Toei Kyoto Studio Park) will hold its first-phase renewal grand reopening on March 28, 2026.

The new concept is “Lose yourself in Kyoto of the Edo period.” In addition to live shows, cultural experiences, ninja attractions, and kimono dressing experiences, 10 new food and beverage outlets and 3 new retail shops will be opened. The opening hours will also be extended until 9:00 p.m., offering content and events that let visitors enjoy the unique atmosphere and immersive experience of the nighttime. With the renewal, the facility’s name will be changed from “Toei Uzumasa Eigamura (TOEI KYOTO STUDIO PARK)” to “Uzamasa Eigamura (UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE).”

For food and beverages, tenants will include Sawai Shoyu with Key Stone, Mimiko, Kyoto Brewing, Torisei, and others, offering sweets, craft beer, curry udon, and more.

The company is proceeding with a full renewal of the entire facility. In spring 2027, as the second phase, it will sequentially open 5 food and retail outlets and a red-light district zone, and in spring 2028, as the third phase, it will open Nakamuraza (tentative name), a traditional playhouse theater. The opening of a bathing facility is also planned for 2028 or later.
