
Strings Hotel Tokyo InterContinental will offer its “Strings Festive Afternoon Tea” from November 1 to December 27.
The sweets selection includes Christmas cupcakes, chocolate cheesecake, Christmas shortcake, baked apple, and persimmon and pear jelly, accompanied by plain and orange & lemon ginger scones served with clotted cream and rosehip & orange marmalade.
The savory items include chestnut soup, a salmon, beet, and spinach roll, and a crispy shrimp roll. Guests can choose from more than 20 kinds of coffee and tea, and for a limited time, the set also comes with Ariba chocolate terrine and vanilla ice cream.
In the evening, the hotel will serve a “Festive Evening High Tea,” which adds truffle-flavored French fries to the “Strings Festive Afternoon Tea” lineup. There is also a plan that includes free-flow Champagne.
The venue is the Italian grill “Melodia” and the café & bar “Rythmos,” both located on the 26th floor. Afternoon tea is offered in two 2-hour seatings, starting at 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The evening high tea is served at the Italian grill “Melodia” from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with last orders at 7:30 p.m. (7:00 p.m. for the free-flow drinks), also limited to 2-hour sittings.
The price is 7,040 yen for the afternoon tea, 8,360 yen for the evening high tea, and 9,790 yen for the plan with free-flow Champagne. All prices include tax but are subject to a separate service charge.
