Overtourism in Okinawa is Gone! Fewer Tourists & Cheaper Everything, ANA Premium Class Flight Ep.613

Good morning everyone. Today I’m at Han airport terminal 1 and two. Yes, today we are heading to the Okinawa main. Yes, I had to wake up at the 5:00 a.m. today. So that’s why I wear the glasses. Anyway, so let me explain about the airport. Basically, terminal one and the two are close each other. It is the walking distance. It is the domestic line. If you are using the international flight, most likely it’s the culture from the terminal number three which is a bit far from here. So you have to be careful. Some of the ANA international flight is leaving from the terminal number two too. So before you have the flight, make sure to check up the terminal. today since we are using the ANA domestic flight. So, it’s leaving from terminal number two. Let’s keep walking. By the way, it is the 8:00 a.m. at the airport. It is very crowded. For the ANA domestic flight, left side for the international flight, right side. Last time when I visit the Singapore by ANA, I used the terminal number two as well. So probably some of the Asian line by the ANA departure from terminal number two. In terminal number two which is a domestic flight compared to terminal number three which is for the international flight. There are many local restaurants over here for example McDonald’s and Malukame udong. Even it’s in the airport. The regular udong starting from 420 Japanese yen. The qui is pretty good too. So if you like udong, I recommend it. And also there is a air lossome. Basically it is a combin but they have more. During the winter time in Japan they always have the heat pack at company. The cheapest one starting from 60 Japanese yen. So if you feel cold, don’t forget to get one. It is very convenient. So you can always get it from a company. However, today we are heading to Okinawa which is much warmer compared to Tokyo. So, we don’t need a heat packed up. And the other side of this station there is Yoshinoya. It’s a beautiful restaurants and also Tendon Pña. It is the tempora bowl restaurant. Both of them are chain restaurants and the prices about starting from 500 to 600 Japanese yen. Yeah. So those restaurant too even in the airport you can save money. There are many school trip students over here. Maybe now is the season for the school trip. So let’s go upstairs because many people are just using the one line. So there is a long line in front of the escalator. Sweet. There’s a big Christmas tree over here. Yep. The Christmas is coming. So this is a domestic flight terminal. It is a big terminal because it is the weekday. So there are so many businessmen over here. Yep. During the winter time, Japanese always wear the black color or you know dark gray. So that’s the reason why the atmosphere of the town always gets darker. It’s one of the culture. And I’m wearing black too. Well, maybe that’s a Japanese thing. Interesting. That blue color in the airport make it brighter though. Oh, look at that Disney store vending machine become the Christmas version. They have something special and the Christmas maybe or maybe not there. But the design become Christmas. Oh, that’s something new. The Elsa, Anna, and the Winnie the Poo. Interesting. So, I need to check in my baggage first. So, I can check in my baggage over here. And it’s ready to go. See you soon. So, that’s a place to check in. Seems like it is crowded. Since today I’m using the premium, so probably I can use the priority checking. Yep. In this way, we don’t have to be in line. From here we can get the security check over here. All right. And also we can use the ANA lounge. So my flight is leaving from 9:25. We just have about 50 minutes inside the lounge. Here are the coffee machines and the cafe latte. Also iced coffee, some tea, plus water, snacks, and also alcohol too. But I’m driving today so I can’t drink it though. Milk, tomato juice and also fruits juice as well. Soft drink plus beer. It is a draft beer. They have ichibang I mean curing. Also this side asah here. And we also have the kale drink. It is the algilu. We believe it’s good for health. So I just got the cap. Also it is a free snack. small pastella. Plus, I guess it is a rice cracker. Well, maybe because it is a morning time compared to before. This lounge is super crowded though. Uh since this is a domestic flight lounge compared to the international one, there are fewer foods and also not that many drinks over here. Yeah. So, just remember it is different kinds of lounge. If you are using the international flight and you are using the premium economy or business class or first class, you know those higher class, you can use the lounge in the Hanada airport. But international flight there is a bucket there. However, for the domestic flight, there is only a small snacks and also a few alcohol juice. Well, for me, this is already good enough though since we only have the 30 minutes. Yes, I’m not really a morning person. So, you know, whenever in the area Friday, I don’t have much time. So, this is definitely enough for me. Yep. The always in the morning cafe wakes me up. Loving it. And here we go. Small Cell. I think the last time when we were here, there were no castella. And that’s a rice cracker. It is a popular rice cracker in Japan called kakotane. The pacimon seeds somehow. I don’t know. I’ve never seen the real pacimon seeds, so not sure if it really looks like kakotane or not. It’s a bit spicy, but it’s really crispy and perfect with beerish as well. At the side of the chair, there’s a power outlet too. From the loungy, we can enjoy many different kinds of ANA airplane. Well, it does look same though. And also ANA Wi-Fi service over here too. So, this is my flight from 9:25 to Okinawa. Uh, the gate changed to the 57. Seems like no delay. Well, probably we better get going now. By the way, there is a coffee machine inside here, too. Before leaving here, let me get healthier with the kale drink. All right, so come by to Okinawa. Ah, interesting. Not that sweet nater. Well, I really wish it’s good for health, though. All right, let’s keep walking. They also have magazine over here. All right, so let’s go to the gate. It’s located right next to the regular security checking point. After the security check, you can directly go to the lounge. So, it is very convenient for domestic loungey. If you use the premium class or if you are the star alliance gold member, you can also use that. So let’s keep walking toward to the gate. So the reason why today I use the premium plus is that this year I trying to be the gold member of this alliance. So for the ANA group if you become a platinum member uh you can be the super flyers member and if you become a super flyers and you make a credit card even if you take the regular flight of ANA you can always use that lounging. So for example in the next year I booked the flight to the Hawaii by the ANA miles which is a regular class. However still I can use the ANA lounge for the international flight too which I think it’s pretty good. So that’s why yep try to join the super flyers. Well I think it’s because of that system the loungey it’s more crowded now. However, yep, it is pretty good cost performance. So, if you flight a lot, definitely it’s good to join that member. Also, seems like already boarding has started. Oh, really? Bunch of school trip students over here. Seems like boarding hasn’t started yet. Sweet. Airplane looks always cool. Yes, cuz I’m leaving almost a plane. I don’t know when I’ll be back again. Ready to go to Okinawa. So, entrance is different. And today premium class. It’s the way to go. Feels like I become a VIP. Only this time though. We can see the cockpit from here. All right, let’s go. All right. So, here’s the seat. So, that’s how the seat looks like. There’s a plenty of space in front. There is a big display in front. And I just took off my laptop from my backpack. It’s safer. There is a sleepers also headphone. There is a power outlet and the USB charger over here. also that displays remote control plus for the regulining. There were a bunch of student by the school trip over there. The Okinawa is a very popular place for the Shugakuryoko which is kind of like a graduation trip in Japan. The last time when I visit Okinawa by the Shugakyo too and since then I haven’t visit Okinawa. So I’m really excited. It must be changing a lot. So let’s keep walking. Finally, it’s leaving now. So, from Tokyo to Okinawa, it takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes to 3 hours, 1,550 km far, which is 963 miles. Speaking of the premium class, because this is about 3 hours flight, the food will be served. But because this is the morning flight, so probably it will be the sandwich. Well, the alcohol will be served too. However, this time, yep, from this afternoon, I will be driving. So, no sake, no beer, no compai. Well, instead, I will get the coffee down. Speaking of the seat, it will not be fully flat. Compared to the international business class flight, yep, the seats are different. However, it’s already pretty comfy though. So, the food has arrived. Yes, this time I ordered a coffee. They have many different kinds of alcohol village and also no alcohol village menu items. Well, what a pity. But, you know, we are driving so it’s sh. So, it’s the sandwich. It’s a dry curd ham and egg dish. Also, it’s the pumpkin coret and the vegetable sandwich, fried onion, and a nori soup. Nori is seaweed in Japanese. And it’s soybean flour pudding. Plus, it’s coffee. Oh my goodness. It looks pretty fancy and looks matchu, too. Well, I didn’t eat the breakfast, and I just eat the custard and the rice cracker, so I was pretty hungry. It has very gentle flavor. Nice egg in the hand. And it’s the pumpkin croet. Sweetness of pumpkin and a carrot perfectly matches. Loving it. It is nice not flavored soup. It’s also metu and it’s a soybean flour pudding which is a kinakle. It doesn’t look like kinak though. But let me see. M. It’s mu. Actually, it doesn’t look like a kinakle which is a soybean flour. However, it has a nice flavor of soy flour. It’s not too sweet, but the mild sweetness, it’s macho with coffee. It’s perfect. cycle. So, in the fright there’s a free Wi-Fi. Let me check up how fast it is. Let’s see. Oh, actually not bad at all compared to the business class flight to the foreign country. That’s much much better. So, the upload speed is almost 9 mgaby. Upload speed is 2.18. Well, maybe because it’s the domestic flight, the internet speed was much faster compared to the international flight. The last time when we took a business class flight to Singapore. However, compared to that, it’s much faster. And with this speed, still we can enjoy the net surfing and also maybe the YouTube too. Good to know. Speaking of the temperature, in Tokyo it was 12°. However, in Okinawa, it’s 22°. So compared to Tokyo, it is much much warmer here on. So next I ordered the English breakfast tea and also chocolate. Since it becomes November, they have a new kinds of chocolate. Ah, it looks pretty good. It is not too sweet, but a nice strawberryish flavor. Really good with the Danish. Well, we still have an hour to get there since I had to wake up really early in this morning. So, I’ll be sleeping just a little bit. So, see you guys soon. Good night. So many airplane arriving to Okinawa. Men so that’s the Okinawa direct. Welcome. Oh my goodness, there are so many school trip student over here. I think from the many places. All right, so let’s keep walking. Ah, sweet. There’s a small aquarium in the airport. It’s from the Chaang where we are planning to go tomorrow. So, we need to take the monor rail. Probably this is the way. Yeah, small C over there. So Okinawa. Wow. Yep. It is a big airport. There is a Okinawa version. The photo booth too. Well, we will explore the airport day after tomorrow. But compared to the Tokyo train, feels like a little bit expensive though. Anyways, so this is the way to go. We need to walk a while. So this time I decide not to use the rental car, but I will use the car sharing which is cheaper. If I use the rental car, it cost about 20,000 Japanese yen for 2 days and also we need to pay for the gas. However, the car sharing including the gas fee and rental cara price, it’s about I assume 17,000 Japanese yen. So yeah, it’s about 10,000 Japanese yen cheaper, I believe. Well, I haven’t got the bill yet, so I’m not sure though. Oh my goodness, it looks so Okinawa. That’s pretty cute. Since so many travelers visit Okinawa and most of them they will use the car. So that’s why there are so many car sharing spot around here. However, this time I pick a bit far location because because this is the hotel that I will stay tomorrow and my car sharing point is just over here. So that must be my card. Speaking of that hotel, price is only 7,500 Japanese yen. Well, you know because of not season now and also there are so many cancellation from China. So that’s why the hotel price in Okinawa gets much cheaper now. Maybe because of that. However, it is really good deal. So I’m wondering if it’s good or not. So we will check up tomorrow. But tonight we are staying in the different hotel. D. Anyways, let me get the car. So it’s Ma 3. I can open by the app. And now already it’s ready to use. That’s enough luggage space for one person. All right. So, and I need to pick up the key here. So, here we go. That’s a key. It’s pretty clean and not bad at all. It is a compact car, but thinking about the price, it’s pretty good. So, today we are heading to the Chhattang area. There is a beautiful American village and also there’s a fer wheel and Okinawa food. Well, today I booked a hotel around there. So, from here it’s about 40 minutes driving. Let’s go. Last time when I visit the Mako Island, I used the GoPro, but this time I used the Osmo 360. Hopefully, it can film well, though. All right, so let’s keep driving. Okay. Oh, I just realized there is a major at the window shield. Also, there is a navigation as well. Wow, it’s a hightech car. Sweet. All right. So, I think we have arrived to the parking. Is this the place or maybe not? I’m not sure. Where is the parking? I believe around here must be. Seems like it already gets crowded though. There are more people walking around. This is a kind of touristy area. So that’s why there are so many beautiful places and the nature spot. I’m planning to visit the nature spot tomorrow. So today, let’s check out this American village which is really popular spot in Okinawa. Hope we can find something mousey over here too. All right. You know, there was a bird poop on the window and this one doesn’t go away even though I wiped it. So now it’s clean. Well, if it’s a rental car, they make sure if the car is green or not. But since this is a car sharing, so it’s shai. But you know, because of that, the price is cheaper. So still, I take it. Anyways, let’s keep walking. Oh, there is a it is a department store and it seems like they have niti too. Nitali, it’s like Japanese version of IKEA. Oh, even in front of there’s Shisa. It looks so Okinawa. Shisa is a Okinawa traditional guardian lion. It is protecting from the evil street. Yeah, it’s something traditional thing in Okinawa. Oh, by the way, hey guys, welcome back to Ry TV. sale. Well, is everywhere in Japan. So, let’s forget about the and let’s walking forward to the American village. Oh, really? Here we have a Sriracha sauce. It is kind of rare in Japan. So the American village area will start from there. Ah there is a big Christmas market. Actually it’s not a Christmas market. It is a Christmas store. Oh my goodness. It’s so interesting. Yeah. It doesn’t feel like I’m in Japan now. So let’s keep walking here. When I see Caesar now feels like I’m in Japan. Uh, it’s a Alamo sake shop. That’s very popular stuff in Okinawa. Very interesting shopping street even for Japanese. Probably we’re on right on time because still before the Christmas so not that many people but already there are the Christmas decor here. So it’s really beautiful, you know. Feels kind of weird because it’s so many Christmas decor around. However, it’s not cold at all, you know, because of the humidity and also the temperature. Feels like it’s between spring and summer. So, doesn’t feel like Christmas is coming. Very, very interesting. Probably that’s a Okinawa thing, huh? That blue seal ice cream is really popular thing in Okinawa, too. I want to eat burger as well. Let’s walking tour to the beach side. Feels like I’m in Universal Studios Japan or something. It is really entertaining. Also, this place looks like maze. There are so many ways to go. So, I believe we are walking toward to the beach area though. Ah, look at that. We found something interesting. This place looks like a haunted mansion. Well, it is not haunted, I mean, but uh you know, nightmare before the Christmas vibes. Interesting. In front of it, there are so many photo spot. Let’s keep walking. Oh, yeah. Finally, it is a beautiful ocean area. Wow. Perfect. It’s a bit cold for swimming. So, no one is swimming over there. But, uh, if you want, you can swim over there, too. You know, the summer atmosphere with the Christmas lights. This is totally something new for me. Well, probably if I visit Hawaii or Australia during Christmas season, it feels like this. But yeah, super interesting. Doesn’t feel like I’m in Japan now. Uh, seems like it’s a burger restaurant. Looks pretty good. Uh, they have a nail bacon cheeseburger at the be. That sounds interesting. Why not? Let’s do it. All right. So, I ordered the signature Adamaby’s nail bacon cheeseburger. Also ordered the root beer. Well, root beer it is not that popular in Japan. So, I can’t remember when was the last time when I drink the root beer though. Anyways, so all together it cost 2,424 Japanese y. Yes. Well, the Japanese standard it is pretty expensive for the burger, but if the burger is my choice, I take that. We’ll see. All right, so compai with the root beer. Now I remember how it tastes like. You know in Japan there is a really popular medicine called salon pass. Because of that, you know, this root beer somehow smells like s with the salon pass. So that’s why probably it’s not that popular in here. Oh, here we go. Oh my goodness, it’s huge. It looks pretty good. Yep. This is the size for American village. Oh, must be Moshi. Oh my goodness, it’s huge. You know, I haven’t eaten the American style burger for a while, so I’m really excited. The bread is really fluffy, but the meat is really juicy with the crispy bacon. It’s perfect. The nice onion chip flavors, too. perfectly matches each other. The fast food burger and the restaurants burger are totally different, right? For Japanese, you know, com restaurant sushi also the sushi restaurant sushi are totally different. Well, of course, the prices are different though. However, it is totally different. So, if you never tried no convey sushi in Japan, definitely you can try it at least once. Well, probably you can feel the difference and also buy the price too. However, once in a while definitely it worth it. You know, still now it’s not the dinner time so not that many people but when it get darker probably there will be more people will be over here. So I think me right on time. Yeah. and root beer. Still interesting. Well, probably it doesn’t make sense for you. However, I believe for most of Japanese having the same opinion though, the root beer, it does taste like salas. You know, I’ve never eat the salas, but yeah, smells like salas. Interesting. By the way, if you are wondering why not tomato inside, originally there is a tomato inside, but now they told me that it is the season that it’s kind of hard to get the tomato. So, they are serving without tomato. However, they gave us a small discount. Well, even though without tomato, it is much. You know this spot with the beautiful ocean view at the sunset time. Loving it. Well, even though with the beautiful ocean beer, the root beer tastes interesting. Well, you know, I was born and raised in Japan, so maybe it’s shown. Interesting. That was a good dinner. It was huge. So, I’m so full. I can’t eat anymore. Another something interesting building over there. Speaking of the sunset time, in Tokyo the sunset time was 4:30. However, in Okinawa the sunset time is 5:37. So, it has about 1 hour longer daylight timing. Well, it is a big difference. Yep. This Okinawa area, it’s more close to Taiwan. Well, so no wonder though. Oh, the Harry Potter bus. Santa Claus is driving and oh there is a gig game center here too and there’s huge game center so many crow machines over here also there are many token games machine this Captain Pikachu that’s so cute and also there are so many gashapan too all right so let’s keep walking oh you know I was wondering ing where the Kangana the face wheel is here. Well, actually it’s gone in end of 2022. So, no wonder we can’t find the ferris wheel. That’s okay. We already enjoy the American village. Well, all right. So, here we go. We find a map. So, the airport is over here. We drive all the way down to here. Tomorrow we will drive all the way down to the north around here. So we will see more different part of Okinawa. And here we go. Now we came back to the parking. All right. So now let’s go to the hotel we stay tonight. Let’s keep driving. All right. So the hotel will must be around here on the left side. Oh, that must be the one. And actually, it’s smaller than what I told it. That’s okay. Can I enter from here? Yeah, it says F RF. So, parking must be here, I guess. Oh, over there. It’s okay. There is a family merch in front of the hotel, too. So, it’s convenient. So, let me park somewhere. Well, there are plenty space available. So, let me just park over here. Oh, you know what? I realize battery if we park like this will be easier because the hotel entrance is over there. So we can just park like this. I guess it’s perfect. All right. So, here we go. This is the hotel. It was about 10 minutes driving from the American village. Price was about 10,000 Japanese yen per night. Hopefully, it’s a clean hotel, though. All right, so let’s go. Oh, it’s pretty nice. So, we can pick up the amenity over here. They also have this small welcome drink. It’s a sincha jasmine tea. Oh, I didn’t know sincha is a jasmine tea. I just know in Japanese. and also high viscosity. Interesting. All right, so this is the way to go. All right, here we go. Oh, I saw the nice swimming pool over here, but already it’s closed for this year. That’s okay. Thinking about the price, it’s not bad at all. Seems like it’s pretty clean. Oh, nice. So there are the two beds. Beside the beds, there is a power outlet, also USB charger. There is a table, TV, and also AC. And I think this is a air purifier. That’s nice. There is a place to work and a small refrigerator, I think. Yep. also small kettle plus pajamas and also hair dryer. There are the towels, sleepers and vanity area. How about in the bathroom? So that’s a restroom. It’s pretty clean. And that’s a shower area. We don’t have bus but instead there is onen in this building. Water pressure too. AC is pretty clean as well. They gave me a welcome drink ticket. This one we can use it at the bar or restaurants. Seems like in the eighth floor the bar will open from 6:00 p.m. Well, it hasn’t open yet. All right. So, I will go check out the onen. So, see you guys soon. So, I just came back from the public bus. Actually, it wasn’t bad at all. It wasn’t big, but there is a middlesiz big bath and also cold water bath. The good thing is there is a sauna, a steam limb over there. There were only two other people, so I could relax and enjoy the public bath. Yep. Thinking about the price, not bad at all. Now, let’s go check out the bar. It’s in the eighth floor. Doors are opening. So, I guess that’s the bar. And also, that’s a swimming area, too. I’m wondering if we can go out. Oh, actually, we can go out. Oh, maybe it continues from the bar. Oh my goodness. It’s a nice swimming pool. Well, we can’t swim though, but uh we can still enjoy drinking over here. And also we can enjoy the view of Okinawa. There is a bus also. Wow. Amazing. It is a infinity pool. Nice. And we can see the moon as well. So I assume that’s the sports stadium. So when the season comes, maybe this hotel becomes expensive. But now, Yep. Only 10,000 Japanese yen per night. Sweet. Yeah. So I guess that’s a be league, a basketball league in Japan. How about the park? This place maybe becomes like a dance hall in the busy season. And there’s a place to chill as well. All right. So, I got beer. So, I got the Arian draft beer. Yep. This place all by myself and including the welcome drink. Again, it was 10,000 Japanese yen per night. Well, I think definitely it’s a good deal. Anyways, so tap with beer. You know, Okinawa is a popular spot for Chinese travelers, but I know that there are so many cancellation of the flight and the hotel. So that I thought I can get the good deal, but I didn’t expect this much. Yep, I think I made a good decision even though it is a bit far from the popular tourist spot. But yeah, this morning I wake up really early morning. So tonight I will sleep early. Definitely this is good enough. So I came back to the hotel. You know what? This is kind of the best deal that recently I had. This situation kind of reminds me that you know during the pandemic time because there are no foreign travelers. I could stay in the very nice hotel with cheaper price without people right next to the Universal Studios Japan. They had the really good deal with the steak dinner. It was really cheap and no one was here. That was a good deal one, but it was during the pandemic though. But except that yes, this is a really good deal. Well, probably I have visited Okinawa in the right moment. Well, speaking of tomorrow’s hotel, it’s a different hotel. It’s more close to the airport. It does located at the main part of Okinawa. However, the price is 7,500 Japanese yen, which is about $40 US. So, I kind of worried, but maybe that would be the good deal as well. We will see though. Anyways, so tomorrow we are heading to the north part of Okinawa and checking up the Okinawa beautiful bird nature as well. So, please look forward to it.
