Universal Studios, Osaka – Japan Cruise on MSC Bellissima
What is the first letter of Japan? Well, it’s J, of course. It’s Q. Ah, you’re right. And we’re in another one. [Music] Hi, we are Rob and Alli sharing with you our passion of all things cruise and travel. We are in Asaka in Japan, home of Universal Studios. We are in another queue. It’s quart 8 in the morning and uh we are we’ve got our tickets pre-prepared. It looks like some of the rides have gone already. Only opened at 8:00. How’s been checking on the um on the app. We’ll see. I’ve been on the app. I’ve been nerding out yet again on these um apps and I’m just not ahead of the game. No matter how how hard I try, I don’t seem to be able to win this game. My saving grace is that it did say it did say when we were looking last night that some of the things are only available to get once you get inside the park. Um the lottery ones and the timed entry. So to honore the cues are huge, but they are moving. They’re moving very quickly. As you can see, we are moving along. So, we’ve got this big snaky thing here that opens up into lots and lots and lots of different little cues. So, let’s find one. Whichever to go through the booths, I don’t think it really matters. Just find anyone that’s going. H’s got a nose for a good queue. Off she goes. You see that serious face? There’s no smile off me then. I was I was in the zone to get to the front of the queue. I can’t believe it. is is that I as far as I can, but we thought we were very very early. That was actually very quick and very easy. It’s 10 minutes since we arrived and we’re already in the park. They are very efficient. Get you through very quickly. Uh bag check, scanners, got to take any drinks out. You put your drinks bottle on your head to go through the security. Um but yeah, very quick, very efficient. We’re in the park. It’s 25. It’s been open for what, 25 minutes now. And now still checking out the app. Okay, maybe I’m a bit eager. That was not in the park. That was just through security. We’re now in another queue in order to get to the tickets. I’ve forgotten we haven’t actually shown our tickets. So, we’ll see how this one goes. Give you an update on the other side. There are maps located around the park so you can find your way, but you can also do it on the app on the phone. Anyway, this is when you first come into the park. It is amazing. Ah, it is absolutely superb. The uh the atmosphere in here is is is wonderful. Loving it. loving it. It seems that Al has actually managed to get a timed entry pass to uh Nintendo World. So, it was 9:40. It’s now it’s now 9:50. So, we’re hoting it down to Super Nintendo World to see um see if we can still get in there. I’ll have just checked the ride wait times and uh like 2 hours, 3 hours. So, I don’t think we’ll be going on any rides in here. Uh but we’ll have a look around and see what there is in Nintendo World. Oh, wow. [Music] We are in Mario World or in Super Nintendo. This is awesome. It is. I don’t know what’s in here. It’s like this big I love the little coin. The little coins are spinning around. Which little coins? Oh, coins for you to collect. [Music] Okay. Well, let’s go and have a look what’s around here. The rides the rides are not going to be out, I think, because of the late time. It’s just too long. All right, it’s time for a quick catch up because 2 hours have gone by since we’ve been in this park. And it has been a whirlwind. It has been a whirlwind. So, our strategy of heading to the back of the park paid off. But where did we go first? I can’t even remember that. We We ran all the way through the park to get to the Harry Potter land. Oh, that’s right. And Robert started taking pictures and I was like, I haven’t got time for pictures. got to get to the ride and there’s only like a 15inute queue and actually it turned out it’s like no queue at all. You just got to get walking. No, it said 10 minutes and it it probably did that but to walk through all the walk. So we did that one and then I was like don’t look, don’t look. We can come back and do all this later at our leisure. That what was that ride called again? So that was the uh that was like the Harry Potter ride. You sit on it sideways. We couldn’t take any video, couldn’t take any photographs, unfortunately. But it’s uh it’s a you sit on it sideways and it takes you through Harry Potter as if you’re flying. It’s 3D. It is like you’re flying all the way. It gives you a warning. It says if you suffer dizziness or sickness, then um you know, maybe it’s riding off you. And I don’t normally, but the visuals in there with the speed of which is going in looks like you’re going over the over the so it’s so realistic. Like you’re flying. I know. Robert came off and he was green. But I did have to close my eyes. I did have to close my eyes and I did miss a little bit of a break. But fantastic ride. And you had a cold sweat, didn’t you? And I was like, are you all right with your your legs wobbling? And you went woo. I closed my eyes, but I’m okay. But I didn’t even chance to recover because she’s like, quick, quick, quick. There’s a Jurassic Park the ride. These will all be filled up later and there will be people in here. [Music] I was like, “It’s only about a five minute wait.” Yeah. Quick. So, we ran there, did the Jurassic Park. That was cool. Yeah. We did singles on that one because it was um 5 minute wait for singles, 20 minute wait if there was a group of you. And as it happened, we end up in the same carriage. Anyway, yeah. So, we managed to get a photo, one of the photos that that they take for you. Yeah, we did get a photograph. I’ll put that in here now so you can have a look at us. Um this is the final drop before we got absolutely drenched. And then um and then I I’d been clicking the phone like crazy and managed to get us into the uh Nintendo. So we’re here in Nintendo area. So I think you’re pretty much all caught up. That’s where we are now. So we’ll do this. Do you know we have we didn’t have breakfast. We haven’t had a cup of coffee or anything. We’ve just been sipping a bit of water. Um but I haven’t even had a chance for my water. Eat. It is a fabulous place. Loving it so far. And the fact that we’ve gone on a couple of rides just adds to the the the scenery. And we will show you cuz we got are going to have a walk around later on. The the the sets, the way they’ve made it fantastic. I’m really looking forward to having a good good walk through there. Yeah. Yeah. And having a look. Okay. Donkey Kong Country. The cues aren’t as bad here for the snacks as they are at Disney. They are weird snacks, are they? What are they? I don’t know. They’re like little weird things filled with weird stuff like all green and mushy and something. I don’t know. Looks sweet. It doesn’t look like it’s savory. Okay. No. So, they have these people around here that are uh these are for the rides. End of the line. This one is 190 minutes wait for the minecart madness. That’s just over 3 hours standing in this queue to get on that ride. Walking around these courtyards with all this scenery and sets feels like you’re actually in the game. I feel like I should be sort of chasing something or something chasing me. I’m game. You could chase me anytime, Robert. Actually, if there weren’t so many people here, you wouldn’t get very far to be honest. This is the minecart madness ride. This is the one that there is 190 minutes wait. And that’s for single riders. 190 just over 3 hours to wait for a ride on this, but they are going for every few seconds. So, uh there must be a lot of people waiting. Super Nintendo World was great. the scenery that everything was really good. However, what I would say is what I would say is if you don’t intend on queuing for two or three hours to go on a ride. It’s a lovely place to have a look around. Look around, take your photographs, do your videos, whatever. And uh we’ve just left there now and we are going to have a look at the rest of the park and see what uh what other areas there are around in Universal Studios. This is the Flying Dinosaur Ride in the Jurassic Park area. It’s one of the most scariest ones I’ve ever seen. It’s gone. It went I think it went upside down there. Slow motion going all the way up. It loops. It spins around. It is It is seriously scary. It actually goes upside down. And I think this is it here. It goes upside down for quite a way. You’re hanging You’re hanging upside down on that ride. That is scary. There’s a long Woo. There is a long long wait for that. Uh we won’t be doing that today, unfortunately. Al No, I might have had a go on it, but I would have had a go. I don’t mind roller coasters. It’s those visual things that we did earlier that sort of like send me a bit. I never used to like those older cues. I never used to like those dome things, you know, the 3D dome things. Where we going now? We got to get over here. Where we going? Where we going? Going to miss the cues. Where we going? We’re going to um this section. Yeah. Okay. All right. Off we go. Lead the way. I don’t know the way. She’s got the map. She’s tracking all the rides and everything. I know. I’m in safe hands. She always does this so well and we always have the best days. It’s creeping now cuz I’m going hurry up. Hurry up. Stop messing around with that camera. So Alice found some oneoff rides. These are here especially for Halloween. There’s Chuppies which we’re going to now know what it is. It’s a three and 4D experience with drills. And there’s another one called Chainsaw Man uh which apparently you may get wet with Chainsaw Man. So, we’re going to have a look at Chucky and then I don’t reckon it’s watered to you. It’s called Chainsaw Man. I didn’t get that. Actually, in the Harry Potter one, we got spat on by the spiders and then we got vomited on by the um by the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. So, Chainsaw Man gets and I got drenched and I got drenched from head to foot in the Jurassic ride. The ride sat me on the side and all my left. I’m drying off now. Last thing I want to do is get wet again right now. Anyway, it says you can’t record. says you can’t record in here. So, we’ll tell you all about it when we get off. So, Chuckies was like an interactive cinema type thing that you walk through. It’s a series of walkways and there’s you put the 3D glasses on and there’s 3D stuff around the walls and occasionally people will jump out at you, give you a bit of a jump scare. It was uh it was a bit of fun. Quite enjoyed it. Had a bit of a jump at a couple of occasions. Um but understand with all the other rides that there are here why there was only sort of a 10-minute wait and there’s like 3 hours wait for some of the other ones. But it’s a bit of fun. A bit of fun for Halloween. We were about to head off to the uh minion area, but we don’t need to. The minions are coming to us. [Applause] Hey little guys. The guides here are doing the VIP experience. This is uh at an additional cost and it’s it’s quite a considerable additional cost but they will show you around the park. They’ll take you to various areas of the park. You get I think they guarantee you entrance sorry they take you into four rides and then after the tour you get guaranteed priority entrance into another four rides. So if you’re interested in that check out the prices on the website. There’s lots of nice little restaurants. Actually these are more attractive than what they were in Disney. I’d say inside here that there there’s a like a um like a 1950s kind of diner. Beautifully air conditioned. However, the cues look to be about 50 minutes, maybe an hour for some of those cues out the door. Yeah, we haven’t really got that time today with being on a tight schedule to get back to the ship. But but what they did have here was they had a limited menu from the same um kind of restaurant that you could buy through a hatch in the door. So, I got a non-alcoholic beer. They also had alcoholic beers and wines. And then the only thing on offer was um a chicken sandwich with a salad on. So, but this looks pretty nice. That was,000 yen. So, it’s around about $10 a $10. And it’s full of salad and everything. And I just said to I didn’t expect it to be quite that big actually. No. I said to Robert, “Look, I’ll just let’s just take the chicken out because everything’s meaty.” And that’s really everything is very meat orientated at all the stores. So, oh, and it’s got all mayonnaise on. That’s nice. That’s good. Yeah. There. All your mayonnaise on it. Oh, that’s pretty substantial, isn’t it? So, that’ll be easy enough to take the chicken off, though. And then we’ve got this lovely area outside that we’ve got that’s um got tables and chairs. Um Yeah, this will do us. Yeah, this is right. That’s about $10. Yeah. And we’ve got uh we’ve got about three and a half hours left in the park now to take advantage of uh of all the rest of it. Hello. And the honeycomb. It speaks. Oh, this one. Yes. Speak. Here you go. You push. You push this one. Oh, okay. I’m right. I’m with you. Yeah. I don’t like Oh, okay. So, this is information. So, please check it. how to switch off and on. Thank you. Have a good day. Thanks. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. This is New York area. I know this because I think this is 57th Street. 57th Street down here and the uh markings on the road. It looks like they’re going to get some kind of concert here later on. I don’t know whether we’ll even be here for that because we’ve got to leave get back to the ship. But uh that’s looks like something going on later on today. Help. Can you tell me how to get how to get to Sesame Street? How to get how to get to Sesame Street? We are already Sesame Street. Where’s Big Bird? Can we see Big Bird? Don’t be looking at me. Calling me Big Bird. You’re the wrong color. You should be yellow. Robert has just said to me, can’t he’s now got the burger. Come on. Come on. Can’t be sitting around. We just finished our lunch. and he said, “That’s an hour since we pulled popcorn, been the loose, got our sandwich.” And I checked the times of the rides that we had been on this morning, and they’re now 3 hours. And I said, “So, the rides that we’ve just done two of, they’re 3 hours long.” So, we spent 10 minutes waiting for each, so 20 minutes, and now cumulatively, that’s 6 hours. So, we’ve actually saved, are you saying we’ve saved 5 hours, 50 minutes, therefore we can spend an hour for lunch? There you go. That’s they That’s female logic. There we go. So, you didn’t mean to offend anybody then. It’s It’s the shopping, isn’t it? That’s right. Everything’s half price, so I’ve saved the portion. That’s right. I could buy three of them. All right, let’s go on through New York. Although these look absolutely authentically real, they really are just like scenery front. So, you can’t actually go in any of these shops. I’m loving the retro Bowie that’s playing everywhere. Yeah, the exceptions to these are the ones that are for food. So, there’s a pizza parlor behind me, there’s a restaurant, there’s a snack bus in front of me. Those are actually usually food places where you can go and eat. As you can see behind me, there are people sat out having the pizzas. And over this side, there are also people having at the restaurant, having food at the restaurant. Oh my goodness, we’re coming to one of my favorites, Minion Park. Love the Minions. Minions. You can hear these little guys laughing all around the park going up to mischief up to no good spraying water at each other. It’s funny parade. The minions came out. I thought they were doing a bit of a parade. So, we got a great spot. was taking some video and all we were getting was the back of them and I realized that they were actually queuing up for photographs or they’d stopped for photographs and by the time we hopped over the other side to the front of them it was about 7 ft. So, uh unfortunately no photographs with the minions today but that’s okay. We’ve seen Minion Land. [Music] You forgotten that? Yeah, that was about as much as you knew. That’s all I know. Come on. Jurassic Park. One of my all-time favorite movie um serieses. This is the Jurassic Park that I was telling you about earlier. And this is how it starts. This is Oh, okay. So, they’re not upside down. They’re facing forward. I thought they were actually hanging upside down, but you’re not. You’re facing forward. But you are hanging in the air looking down. Is that one of the scariest rags that you have ever seen in your life and then it’ll flip over. Yeah, I’m screaming just watching them. One of the many restaurants at the Universal Studios. This one is in Jurassic Park, the Lost World restaurant. And they all have two or three dishes to choose from. Uh burgers and chicken and that sort of thing. Look where we are. Well, and Mitty the scene of Jaws. Jaws. Wow. There’s Neptune’s fully, but I think we’re going to need a bigger boat. We’ve got one. The Melissa. How much bigger do you want, Robert? Oh, we just had to get that one in. I apologize for the bad joke. We have just arrived on the Hogwarts Express here in Hogwarts. And I think this is is this uh platform 9 and 3/4 or something. There’s a guy working on the train. Make sure it’s working properly. Uh let’s go around the village. This looks fantastic. It’s all snow on the on the roofs and everything. It looks brilliant. Even though it’s a Wednesday in the middle of the week and the kids will be at school, it is still pretty busy here. There’s lots of people all over the place in all of these different themed areas. Just come around the corner and here is the castle. Apparently, Al said this is the where the ride was that we went earlier on. I didn’t realize it was that big actually. It is huge. And then we’ve got the archway and the village from the other side with the snow capped uh roots that I was talking about. Again, lots and lots of people around today. You can buy your wands in the shop here. And I’ll even show you how to use your wands to make the water bed from the top of the pot. Let’s see if this chap can work it out and see if he can get his wand to work. Not that time. Not that time. I don’t think he’s doing it quite correctly. She’s showing him how far you need to be away. There’s a technique to this as to how you do it. And almost there. I can see it’s almost there. That’s the right distance. And there we go. She managed to do it. Well done. She’s mastered the wand. It looks like Al has found a shop that she wants to have a look around. Who would I be to the night and look around the sweet lobby shop? More like something out of hand. Hello. Hello. Now, here’s a new land we’ve not been before. We’re in Wonderland. Snoopy. El’s having a wave with Snoopy. We got Elmo and Hello Kitty as well. I wonder if we see the Cookie Monster. Oh, googies. Oh, the count. Hang on. The count should be out, shouldn’t he? Hello. Count one. This park is brought to you by the letter W for Wonderland. This area is so realistic. It even smells sweet. It does. I can smell sugar. I felt cold in Hogwarts because it’s all covered in snow. We come in here and it’s like, wow, strawberry and sugar. It is. It is. I can see cupcake shop. Let’s go see what’s in there. You’re not wrong. Hello Kitty’s cupcake shop right in front of us. That might be where the sweet smell is coming from. Yeah. Right next to Hello Kitty’s Ribbon Boutique. If you step inside the Snoopy Studios, there’s lots of these activities going on. Lucy’s Preview Theater. There’s a bit of a movie thing going on there. There’s an art studio. Snoopy’s Psychiatric Health. I’m not sure. I think the uh Snoopy’s Flying Ace Adventure is arrived. What’s going on in here? Beagle Scout Campground. A photo opportunity. Here we go. One of the novelty features at the Universal Studios are these uh popcorn buckets and they do different things like uh the minion here. He lights up. The laser lights up. And earlier we got one for Gabby, which was the uh the bear, the brand new bear. Al’s decided she can’t decide which one to get for Maddie. Either the bear or the minion. So I think we’re probably going to end up getting both because she feels like one of these. And I love should live in our home for herself as well. Yes. I love my popcorn as well. So, it’s like they all do. They all sit on the sofa watching the um watching the movies. One Tim and one Dave. Now, these these are not cheap. These are around about sort of working out about $45 Australian dollars each. I think the the bear was a little bit more than that. He talks. Um but hey, you’re on holidays. They’re a novelty. Where else are you going to get popcorn buckets? You do get popcorn with them as well, though. You do. make your popcorn’s so cheap. She’s already had two popcorns. She already had two popcorns today. So, another two is going to make four popcorns. He’s gorgeous. Thank you. So, Dave’s Looks like Dave’s fur comes off for washing, which is a good thing after you’ve had greasy popcorn all over it. Okay. Sits nicely there. So, demonstration of how Dave works here now in the back. Push. Thank you. Thank you. There we go. There’s our So, that’s the girls and Gabby’s presents sorted out from Universal Studios. Thank you. Now, we just got to get through back to Australia. And our bags were pretty full to start with. There you go. Look at that. She’s all loaded up. Load up. Laiden up. But let me show you. Robert, funny thing is, so when we came from Disney, we had our little we had our Disney ears. Now we’re coming from Universal. We’ve got all the merch. Which clothes are we going to leave in Japan to make way for these luggage? It is time for us to start heading back to the ship cuz we’ve got to get back by 4:30 cuz we have to go through an immigration procedure before we can get back on the ship. So, we’re going to go and see if we can get the ferry back. Al’s trying to work that out. It’s a lot quicker and it’s a lot cheaper than it is getting a taxi. So, we’re going to check that out and try and maybe get a ferry back. It has been a fantastic day. We have seen everything, so I think we’re probably ready for going back anyway. We’ll see how we go with the ferry. If not, we’ll end up hopping in a taxi. The lady at the exit to Universal Studios has given us directions to get to the ferry, which will take us directly back to the cruise terminal. Now, I’m not entirely convinced that uh that I know where uh she was talking about, but Al certainly seems to do. That’s good. We’re all in good hands. This is outside the studios now and the streets outside the studios which are still themed in the same sort of style as the Universal Studios. We didn’t have a lot of luck with the ferry. So, we uh hopped in a in a cab because the time for the ferry had had gone or was very close within a couple of minutes and we weren’t going to make it. So, we just couldn’t see how we could get across the road, did we? That was the literally just couldn’t see how to get get there. Even though we had it on the phone and she’s given us directions. Yeah. We couldn’t work it out. So, we hopped in a cab and and here’s something interesting. The cab this morning cost us about it’s it’s $4,800 yen, which is about, you know, roughly $48 Australian. Took 25 minutes, just over 25 minutes. The cab back, 2,700 yen, round about 27 Australian, took us around about 12 minutes. So, round about twice the distance and twice the cost. Now, unless there is something different about the way they have to travel going out of the port and and over to Universal Studios, I think we were maybe taken for a ride literally this morning. Um, I’m not going to accuse anybody of anything cuz I don’t know the system or anything, but for it to be twice as long and twice as much, seems like we were it seems like something was a little bit wrong. So, just be aware. Maybe ask for the price. If you’re going to hop in a cab, maybe ask for the price beforehand. Anyway, the shortest route. That’s right. Have my eyes gone black? Not that I can see. I think my eyes bad your eyes. Yeah, they do look absolutely Anyway, anyway, we’re back at the terminal now. We’ve got to go through an immigration process because we did an overnighter in the Zaka and we’re going to South Korea. Our next stop’s South Korea. So, we’ve got to go through an immigration process. We had to bring our passports off this morning. We’ll talk all about it later. We’ll tell you all about what we needed to do. Right now, we want to get back on the ship and get a nice cool beverage. Oh yes. Take all these Take all this off. Take all our pets off. All this popcorn. We are all safely back on board now. And our new found friends are enjoying a beer and snacks at the bar. Not sure whether we actually chose this the right way round, but it is white night tonight, so we’re all in our whites. But we also chose the specialty dining and we decided to go with Sea Pavilion and Sea Pavilion is the hot pot. So this is where you get your your broth and then you get a multitude of vegetables, seafood, and meat that you cook yourself in the broth along with your noodles. Hang on. Wait a minute. I have to cook my own food. You told me I have to cook my own food. So this is just very specialty dining, not DIY dining. And it’s it it’s a leisurely a very leisurely meal that you Yes. you cook yourself as you go along and then the broth gets tastier and tastier as you go because you’re cooking everything in it. But it can get a little bit messy. So hopefully we don’t do a lot of slurping and um tucking our napkins down front of our dresses, I think. Yes. Anyway, and then then we’re off to um a show. We’ve got a very special show tonight. 9:30. And then there is the deck party, the white deck party. Actually, that is undecking. That’s not a prominard. That’s deck tonight. No. No. And after the weather today, we’re hoping it’s going to be beautiful. The food has arrived. How beautiful is this? So there is a mixture of meats, um, seafood, egg, tofu, and all these beautiful vegetables to go in. Got some sea bass, some squid, some noodles there. Noodles, meatballs, wantton. This is beef here. I’ve got some crispy chicken. Got some edeami beans, some peanuts, and I forget what you get over there. I’ve got some mixed pickles. Okay. Um, which is delicious. And Edammani. Uh, oh, this is steaming up. This is heated on. Look at this bubbling. And what you do is you put them in your broth here. You’ve got a mushroom broth and I got the beef and tomato spicy. It’s getting There’s no coming all across the table now. Looking very mystical. I know. I know. So, you actually ordered some additional seafood as well, didn’t you? I did. I know that looks very greedy, but um neither of us will eat the tofu. And I don’t really like the I don’t want this the I can hardly see you now. I’m moving around to try to like order some um some prawns and um some salmon. Okay. And there’s sea bass there as well. All right. Well, let’s let’s start. Time for a quick food update. So, we’ve been grazing our way through these dishes. Um, now we left our vegetables. I was just cooking my vegetables as we go because I always think that vegetables will cook very, very quickly. Anyway, our lovely waiter came over and he said, “I’m from Taiwan and in Taiwan, the way uh we do it is we put all the vegetables in together and cook.” And then we just put the fish or the meat in just for a just for a short very short while and it’s cooked. You get all the flavors from the vegetables. So, we went okay. And we just plunked all the vegetables in together. I haven’t put all of mine in actually. But I might put the rest of them in there. But I kind of thought that they were bubbling away. I thought they’re just going to go kind of slimy. But anyway, it is gorgeous though. It’s beautiful. Do as I have been advised. Um, but this is just so delicious. Um, I never thought cooking your own food could be this fun. When I do it at home, it’s not this fun. We did quite well. We didn’t finish all of it, but um we certainly had enough. And they’ve actually brought us some more vegetables and more fish, and we just couldn’t eat that. So, uh anyway, it is time now, just the perfect time for us to head down to the London Theater for the show, which is uh The Sand Manor. [Music] [Music] We have seen that lady before and she was brilliant then as well. How just art with sand. It’s very difficult to describe to you what we’ve just seen, but basically she she creates different artistic pictures to fantastic music really quickly with the most incredible. It’s an incredible amount of speed and detail and you’re just kind of watching it and then the music is thundering. She’s she’s creating these these kind of um art pieces. Just fantastic. Yeah. and wiped some clear like all gone and disappeared. And then we came out and in the on the prominade they’ve done a special on the ceiling. You know that they have all the lights and the special effects on the ceiling. Uh LCD uh ceiling. Yes. It was a like a little mini production of a battle between like a gothic battle between um a dragons and the knights had dragon all ghouls and things and all the all the plants were all growing and coming over and came to life and there was faces in the rocks. It was just everybody stood there and went, “Oh, what’s this all about?” Just did not expect that because we were just on our way up to the white party. But we did stop. Everyone stopped and watched it. Yeah. Absolutely. That was just just little things get thrown at you all the time on this ship. You go, “Wow.” Amazing. Amazing. So, we are now going to head up to deck 15 for the white party, which is out on the deck. I have no idea what the weather’s like, but it was been a beautiful day, so hopefully it’s a beautiful evening. [Music] It’s time for [Music] I I ole The white party was great fun, but um we decided we’d leave and go down to the Bissimma Bar and see what was going on down there. See if we could have a dance. It was really quiet. It was really quiet. So, we’ve come up to the Sky Lounge and now we know why. Look at this. just finishing off now. It’s midnight and the white party’s still going on. So, that’s been like a 2hour party or something like that. Well, and the the staff who who kind of get on the stage and do the dancing to get everybody going, they’re still there. They’re still just two hours. I don’t know whether you can see. I’ll try I’ll try and zoom into this a little bit when we um when I do the editing. They’re just finishing up. They’re just backing up now. Um, but it’s it looks like the wind’s gone up a little bit as well. There’s um there’s some clothing and jackets are moving around a bit and the water in the pool’s moving on it. But also, and again, I don’t know whether you can catch this or not, but there are lots of people still sat out under the deck, under the canopy there. Well, the music was rocking, wasn’t it? We came in. Actually, the the music’s rocking, but the ship isn’t. Although it’s as steady as a rock, isn’t it? on here. I just you can’t feel anything at all. Um yeah, absolutely fabulous. So that probably explains why I’ll move it around here now. That probably explains why the Bissa Bar is so quiet tonight cuz everybody’s still outside living it up. I mean, there were people This did have live music. We’ve come up to the um Sky Lounge. This is quite busy. There’s people here. It is actually. It is actually. Yeah. People mixing it up a little bit. Anyway, it has been a long day for us. So, we’re having a night cap up here now. Yeah, I am. We were up very early for our Universal Studios. It was a cracking day. Absolutely. It is a C day tomorrow. Yeah. See? Yes. Yes. So, we might have a little bit of a lion. Although, we might try we might try and um do the restaurant for breakfast. A full day in Osaka today meant that we had the opportunity to visit another Japanese theme park, Universal Studios.
This time we followed Ali’s plan to head straight to the back of the park and start where it was quietest. Did it work? Watch the video to find out.
Back on the ship and we had a booking at Sea Pavilion which is a specialty dining with a hot pot meal. The evening continued with the White Party deck party and, of course, our usual nightcap in the Sky Lounge.
Another perfect day in Japan and on MSC Bellissima.
