Eating Shio Ramen and Gyoza at a long-established ramen restaurant
I visited Sugawara, a ramen shop located in the central area of Asahikawa.
Although it’s a little away from the station, it’s still within walking distance.
This small yet long-established shop, founded in 1974, is popular among locals.
This time, I ordered their signature shio ramen topped with plum, along with some gyoza.
Despite its clear broth, the shio ramen offers a surprisingly rich and flavorful soup compared to other places.
At this shop, you can also customize the firmness of the noodles and the richness of the broth to your liking.
While the prices aren’t exactly cheap—likely due to rising costs—they are relatively reasonable for the central area.
