【ホテルモントレ京都】天然温泉スパ&ラウンジ!! 京都観光に最適ホテル!!
Hello, thank you for watching. I’m currently in Kyoto. This time I stayed at Hotel Monterey Kyoto, which is located close to Karasuma Oike Station on the subway . As soon as I left the exit of Karasuma Oike Station, the Hotel Monterey building came into view. The Hotel Monterey Kyoto where I stayed this time is about a 6-minute subway ride from Kyoto Station. Get off at Karasuma Oike Station. It takes about 2 minutes to get there. Karasuma Oike Station is a convenient station where the Karasuma Line and the Tozai Line intersect. It is also about a 5-minute walk from Hankyu Karasuma Station, making it a very convenient location for sightseeing and business. Let’s go inside. The entrance is Kyoto. The beautiful brick entrance was designed to match the cityscape of the capital. Stepping inside, I could see the attention to detail of the Hotel Monterey Group . The entrance was made of brick, and once inside, the black marble created a luxurious and stately atmosphere . This unique atmosphere of Monterey is really great, it gives you a sense of calm and security. The front desk also had a luxurious atmosphere with brick, black, and British-style furniture. A gorgeous chandelier hung from the ceiling, adding to the luxurious feel. A welcome drink of detox water was served in the lobby. Arrival It instantly quenched my thirst when I was in the hotel. Such thoughtfulness is truly appreciated. The elevator hall and elevator also had a stately impression with a British atmosphere. This time, our room was on the 11th floor of a 12-floor guest room system. The elevator hall on each floor required card key authentication, so that only guests staying on that floor could enter the rooms. Rest assured, ironclad security. The corridor, with its casual feel and based on madder color, continues on. This is our “home” in Kyoto tonight. We use our room key to turn on the power in the room. This time, we I booked a standard twin room. It is said to be based on the crimson color that evokes the “Kyoto sunset.” It was a very cute room with a pink sofa as an accent. The room size was 22 square meters, so it was very spacious and I was able to relax . The large basket placed on the bed was for carrying bath towels and a change of clothes when going to the spa. The roomwear was a separate top and bottom type. It was very comfortable and comfortable. Between the beds, there was stylish lighting, an equally stylish alarm clock , a telephone, and memo paper. There were also two power outlets. The furnishings around here reminded me of Hotel Monterey, and I really liked them. It was a very cute room. Next, let’s take a look around the desk. In the drawer there was a hotel guide and a laundry bag. There was a cute pink chair . The lighting above the desk was also stylish. There were two outlets above the desk. Other items included tissue paper and mineral water. The hairdryer was made by SALONIA. Let’s take a look under the desk. On the top shelf were cups, glasses, drip coffee , and an ice bucket . On the bottom shelf were an electric kettle and a tea and teapot set, as is typical of Kyoto hotels . The tea was also a little elegant. There was also a hotel-sized mini-fridge. The TV was 43 inches. In addition to regular TV broadcasts, you can also enjoy YouTube and other streaming services . You also need an account to enjoy video streaming services such as U-NEX and Netflix. The chest of drawers has many drawers , so you can store your change of clothes and other items even if you are staying for multiple nights. There is a foldable luggage rack, but you can also place your luggage on top of the chest. Near the window there was a cute round table and two cute sofas with pink accents. This is the closet . There were enough hangers and a light. 。 The bathroom was just as cute as the room itself. The wall color was a stylish design that is rare in hotels. Both the toilet and sink were clean and very comfortable. The bathtub was also large, allowing for a long soak. The bathroom had a stylish feel that made bath time very enjoyable. The only downside was that this hotel had a natural hot spring spa, but I never used it. The shower head was a Mirabelle, a friend of women all over the country. Amenities were displayed there. The bathroom lighting was also very stylish . There is a natural hot spring spa on the top floor of the building , which guests can use free of charge. There is frosted glass at eye level, so you can’t see much, but you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot spring while looking out over the Kyoto cityscape. There is also a spa lounge right next to the large public bath, where you can relax after your bath while overlooking the Kyoto cityscape . The hotel faces Karasuma Street. Our room window overlooked Karasuma Street. There was a balcony-like space outside, but of course, we couldn’t go outside. While we could see the buildings facing the street, it wasn’t oppressive and comfortable. The room had an air purifier with a humidifier. The air conditioner was a deep red, matching the room’s color— a color I’d never seen before. When I turned it on, the mechanical parts started to move, which was pretty cool. The Wi-Fi speed was fine, in fact, very fast. Each floor had an ice maker. We explored a bit further around the hotel. Just past Karasuma-Oike Station on the subway was the Kyoto International Manga Museum. Housed in a former elementary school building, the museum houses approximately 50,000 manga volumes, allowing visitors to browse to their heart’s content. Unfortunately, the museum was closed on the day we took our photos, so we weren’t able to go inside. I’d definitely like to spend some time reading manga here. Apparently, on nice days, you can even lie down on the grass and read manga on the grounds . Afterward, we headed to the World Heritage Site. We arrived at Nijo Castle. To get to Nijo Castle, it’s convenient to take the Tozai Subway Line and get off at Nijojo-mae Station, which is one stop away. There’s a 1,300 yen admission fee. There were already many tourists there. Nijo Castle is a historical spot in Kyoto, built by Tokugawa Ieyasu, and is registered as a World Heritage Site. It’s famous as the place where the Meiji Restoration took place. This particularly impressive gate is the Karamon Gate. It is decorated with very intricate carvings and ornate, exquisite workmanship. It was a gorgeous and beautiful gate that particularly caught the eye, even within Nijo Castle. The castle tower of Nijo Castle was burned down and has not been rebuilt. Behind the Karamon Gate is the Ninomaru Palace. The Ninomaru Palace is a building that the shogun actually used, and we were able to tour it. We were not allowed to take photos inside, but as we walked along the corridors we were able to see up close the special mechanism that makes a squeaking sound called “uguisu-bari,” as well as the gorgeous sliding door paintings and carvings. The beautiful Japanese garden, with its well-balanced arrangement of ponds and pine trees, allows you to enjoy the atmosphere of each season and is very relaxing. You can enjoy completely different expressions depending on the season you visit, such as cherry blossoms, fresh greenery, autumn leaves, and snow scenery. The pond in Ninomaru Garden had been drained for cleaning work, but that was still a precious moment. We returned to the hotel and were able to see it. There was a chapel on the first floor, and with the lights on, it had a solemn atmosphere. Of course, weddings can also be held at this hotel. It was a very nice hotel, and a very nice chapel. Looking at this round table, I decided on my dinner for today. It was a Tsukimi set from McDonald’s (it was September 10th). It takes about a minute to get to McDonald’s from the hotel. By the way, it wasn’t the Tsukimi Burger, but a different hamburger. After that, we went to the spa on the top floor and enjoyed the hot springs . After the bath, we had a free drink in the spa lounge, and it was a wonderful time after the bath. I enjoyed my day in Kyoto today. Well then, everyone Good night, see you tomorrow morning. Good morning . It’s a little cloudy, but a very pleasant morning. After this, I went to the hot spring spa on the 13th floor. I was able to relax in the hot spring twice during my stay. The view of Kyoto’s cityscape from the hot spring was amazing (although in reality, you can barely see it…). One of the attractions of this hotel is that you can stay in Kyoto city and enjoy the hot spring spa. It felt like staying at a hot spring inn. We went out to eat breakfast. You can get a rich breakfast at the hotel, including Kyoto-style dishes and seasonal ingredients, but this time we decided to eat outside. The breakfast venue we headed to is about 5 minutes from the hotel. We had a leisurely coffee at Inoda The main store has terrace seating, so you can enjoy your coffee in style on the terrace. Having breakfast on the terrace was also very appealing, and we had a hard time deciding. The seats where we sat, with their gingham check tablecloths, were very cute and made us feel happy right from the start of the morning. It was just like a hotel breakfast. This breakfast was a morning-only menu, “Kyoto Breakfast,” and it was a very elegant and luxurious breakfast at a long-established Kyoto coffee shop. We knew it was very close to the hotel, so we were really looking forward to having breakfast here. It was a luxurious time for us to start the morning. Thank you, Inoda Coffee, for the best breakfast… That’s all for today’s video. Thank you for watching. The hotel is very conveniently located with easy access from the subway , making it convenient for visiting Kyoto’s tourist spots and for catching the Shinkansen and local trains. There is a natural hot spring within the hotel, which can be used for free during your stay, including the lounge , allowing you to relax and unwind just like at home.
