Japanese Breakfast in Hakone + Open Air Museum + Owakudani Ropeway + Kaiseki course dinner

Hello. Welcome to this video. Uh, this video is going to start from uh us having a Japanese breakfast. Uh, right now I’m showing uh some of the souvenir candies that they had at the near the front desk area of the Rioan. This is like a bento candy. And then they have uh I didn’t know but they won some award last year after dinner. That’s us with the free uh sparkling wine that they give going back to our room after dinner. You can take it to your room and take another Yeah. Be sure to hydrate. Be sure to before the hot tub and stuff. Alcohol before the hot tub is not recommended. All right. And this is us about to eat breakfast. Very happy. And um I think the natural video audio will take over soon. seasonal veggies steamed. Some some beef and uh I don’t really know what all these are. The egg. Uh this is fishcake. And I love how they give you pickles. So, I love pickles. Got rice and miso soup in here. It looks good. It’s a very gentle way to start the morning. Horse mackerel came. They dried it and then they grilled it. I don’t I think some kind of tofu and kanyaku dish. This is a tofu in there. Looks good. And there’s uh yeah, unlimited rice and miso soup refills. Oh my god, that was so much food. But I’m done. And we’re going to go try the yogurt with fruits inside. This Jack in the Box barbecue sauce has been traveling with us the whole time. I’m probably not going to use it. I packed it cuz I made some like tortilla rolls for the airport on the way here, but I’m just bringing it around. There’s no Jack in the Box in Japan, so it’s probably the only barbecue sauce from Jack in the Box in Japan. Very rare. There’s a walking trail near the entrance of the Rioan, so we’re seeing where it leads. Our bus stop is back up there. So, we might have to come back up. Oh, it leads to a outdoor chilling area, the table, and you can overlook the creek. Cool. Look how blue it is. Oh. Oh, yeah. That looks cool. Nice. Oh, it looks so good. The colors. I think we took the wrong bus. It was going more north than we wanted, but the we got off near where we wanted to go, the open air museum, and it’s only like uh 1 km. It’s like maybe like a third of a mile. Not bad. like 20 minutes walking. So, we’ll just walk there. We made it. S open air museum. That was like a quick 15minute walk uphill. Very steep uphill. Very steep. Very steep. Oh, this is a cool entrance tunnel. We came down the escalator. Okay. These are castings from the door at the Vatican. I think it’s called the door of death. And it depicts a whole bunch of deaths of like I guess a important religious people. And here’s uh other outdoor sculptures. This was a cool one where you go in the black box and then there’s like a viewing hole down under the tunnel and then you come out that glass box. It’s so dark in here. Oh. Oh, something. Oh. Oh, just you can see the sky. Oh. Oh, okay. There’s like a leaf. There was like a leaf in the way. Yeah. Oh, some dude is looking down there. Oh, yeah. It’s soft. It’s a good good place to rest. Okay. Oh. Oh, it’s a big boy. We’re in the maze. I am the minotaur. I bet someone was like popcorning through all this. Oh, it’s not allowed. No, it was all right. Oh, I do. That’s the entrance and the exit. We’re going to do a face reveal. That’s what he looks like. And this place is a Gyoza Center. It’s like a very close walk from the museum. The stamina gyoza. It’s a deep fried gyoza. Stuffed chicken wing gyoza. Deep fried. That looks interesting. It’s the cable car that takes you to the ropeway. Uh we’re at Aakoduani station. I think if you take the ropeway, it takes you to the volcanic area. We’re very high up. We’re getting on the cable car. The ropeway rather. Cable car is the other thing we just took. mechanic action. This is interesting. This reminds me of the volcanic area in Zelda Breath of the Wild. Passengers wishing to return to you. This is for exit the you can visit the station restaurant on the second floor for a recommended orani that’s cool. This is the view from Aakuani station. It’s the I guess the midpoint between the ropeway that very top of the mountain. if you take the ropeway down uh you go to the to the lake. But uh we decided to actually just take the bus back down to our Rioan because it was going to get uh dark soon and we you know we didn’t want to be around the lake when it was super dark. You know what? We’re checking out the bar at uh Kinotake Tonosawa. They got a Looks like they have a good selection of everything. Whisies, gin, vodka, a lot of whisies. Irish, scotch, American bourbon. There’s Bllandens over there. Uh Kgnac. Interesting. Interesting. Oh, wait. How did they get that pear in that bottle? Actually, sorry. We’re being dumb. The bar is closed till 8:00. It’s like 7 right now. We just got two uh peronis. I got the local sagan sake. Very generous pork. Oh. Oh, that’s like wine. It’s like has a little tartness, a little sweetness. It’s good. Scallop. I think the the eel the shrimp shrimp with the tofu s noodle with seasonal fish and yuzu flavor on there. Looks good taste. Sashimi course eel tempura and Japanese pepper. Yeah. Salt and lemon. Yeah. This is the grilled dish. It’s a miso glazed eggplant with what was that? Green pepper and lotus root. Pickled lotus root. Okay, last courses here. Got rice, miso soup, raw egg for the shabu shaboo sukiyaki dish. So, we cook the meat first and then put the sauce in there. It’s matcha ice cream with I think it’s like a cracker cracker shell And watch out.
