Today, we’ll be taking a look at the onboard facilities of MSC Bellissima, the largest cruise ship in Japan. An aqua park. Four swimming pools. An exclusive area, MSC Yacht Club. A comprehensive spa and gym. Amusement facilities such as casino and bowling. Promenade and atrium. 12 restaurants and 20 bars. Entertainment shows. This video also includes a cruise report from Jeju Island, South Korea, to Tokyo. For ship information, please see the description. The ship’s gross tonnage is 171,598 tons. Its overall length is 315.83 meters (1,036 feet). Let’s start with Deck 19, the top deck. This deck is called Arizona Aqua Park. There is an attraction called Himalayan Bridge. The Himalayan Bridge is an 82-metre-long suspension bridge that crosses the ship at a high altitude. There’s an area called Aquaplay Spray. This is a children’s pool, 0.5 metres (1.6 feet) deep. This aqua park is themed around the Grand Canyon and desert animals. There are three types of water slides, and one of them is shown here. This area has a fun atmosphere. It seems like a great place for families with small children. Further back, there are other water slides. These are floaties that can be used on the water slides. I can’t wait to try those water slides. Near the water slides is the Arizona Bar, where we can order Italian gelato and other drinks. Parts of the yellow water slide are translucent. The red water slide has no translucent parts. The entrance to the water slides is on the upper deck. Just then, other passengers are sliding. Grab my swim ring and head to the entrance of the water slide. I’m getting nervous. First, I’ll slide down the yellow water slide. When I try sliding down, the translucent tubes do not allow me to see outside. It took about 20 to 25 seconds, and it wasn’t that scary. Is that water slide for kids? Next I’ll slide down the red water slide. There are some dark parts along the way. This one also took about 20 to 25 seconds, and it wasn’t scary at all. Deck 19 is named Splendida (a ship launched in 2009). There’s another facility, the TOP19 Exclusive Solarium. This is available to guests of the Yacht Club or Aurea. Original towels are provided. We can relax on sunbeds. There’s a jacuzzi. We can see the main pool on Deck 15. It’s less crowded, so it looks like a great place to relax. Next, let’s take a look at the exclusive area, the MSC Yacht Club. The MSC Yacht Club is located forward on Decks 14-19. The entrance to the MSC Yacht Club is forward on Deck 16. This exclusive area, often referred to as a “ship within a ship,” has an exclusive feel. The staircase from Deck 16 to Deck 18 is actually a Swarovski staircase. There are other Swarovski staircases on the ship. Deck 16 is home to the Top Sail Lounge. When we go inside, On the left is a bar. To the right is the buffet table. In the morning hours, Breads, pastries, yogurt, fruit, and cold meals are available. The Top Sail Lounge has a luxurious interior. The wine-red carpet creates an elegant feel. Even the staircase here is decorated with Swarovski crystals. Going up, we’ll find the MSC Yacht Club Restaurant on Deck 18. This restaurant also has elegant décor and offers a relaxing atmosphere for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are various seating options, including tables for two, four, six, and eight. Located at the bow of the ship, it offers excellent views. According to online reviews, the quality of the food is good. The elevator interior has a futuristic design. Deck 17 does not exist because 17 is considered unlucky in Italy. Head to Deck 19. MSC Yacht Club pool towels. This is the outdoor restaurant called Grill & Bar. It’s just time for the breakfast buffet. It’s not crowded here either, so it seems like a relaxing place to dine. Although it is semi-outdoors, there is a roof over it so it can be used even on rainy days. A pool and a jacuzzi. The pool is small and can accommodate only a few people at a time. You can relax on the sunbeds by the pool. There’s also a shower, so you can shower immediately after entering the pool. There are also private cabanas. This evening’s teppanyaki dinner included three courses: Geisha $34, Samurai $44, and Emperor $74. I ordered plum wine. Seasonal salad, white miso soup, and sashimi. It was a great deal, as they also had sushi. Tempura Samurai. It was great to be able to try tempura. Seafood and meat being prepared. A chef from India. Chef performance. Seafood being prepared. Chef performances are also held while the seafood is being prepared. The chef entertains the guests. Scottish salmon and prawns are topped with a buttery sauce. Scottish salmon and prawns were cooked. It’s freshly made and delicious. Next up is egg fried rice. It’s a performance using eggs. It’s fascinating. Since it is fried rice for eight people, a lot of eggs are used. A performance that depicts a cobra using omelets. On a previous MSC ship, it was an anaconda. Is this a standard performance at MSC Cruises’ teppanyaki restaurants? It was fascinating. The delicious fried rice is ready. It was delicious. We can choose how well we want our meat cooked. The Samurai course is sirloin, and the Emperor course is Ozaki Wagyu. This time, I chose the Samurai course and had the sirloin. The quality of the meat was a bit disappointing? Dessert is caramelized pineapple and ginger ice cream. The teppanyaki restaurant was good. Let’s take a look at the night events. A dance class is being held in the Bellissima Lounge. The show starts at 8:00 PM. Although it was an October cruise, the show wasn’t full, and there were plenty of empty seats. The show on this night is called Total Divas. What’s amazing is that they have a different show every day. Each show is worth watching. Each show lasts 40 minutes. There are many other events on this night. The LED screen show on the promenade also has a different show every day. What is it showing? It looks like a Chinese video, but there’s no explanation, so it’s unclear what it is. I imagine many passengers are watching the LED screen show without really understanding it. Enjoy rosé wine and potato chips at a British pub. There’s a karaoke competition at the TV Studio & Bar in the night. Enjoy listening to karaoke while sipping cocktails. The MSC Little Italy event starts at 10:15 PM. The LED screen is decorated with the Italian flag. This is a kids’ event. The Italian Party starts at 10:45 PM. The dress code is Italian colors (red, green, and white). Many of the partygoers followed the dress code. This kind of party is held every day. It felt like we were dancing for an hour straight. At night, we watched a show, partied, and then returned to our cabins, repeating the same routine. The next day, we head to Kumamoto. Immigration documents and shuttle bus information are placed on the bed. Day 6. This is my first sunrise on this cruise. The weather was cloudy, so we often couldn’t see the sunrise. Our current location is Kumamoto, Japan. We’d already arrived at the port. What a surprise… Let’s look forward to seeing it after disembarking. We have a light breakfast at the buffet restaurant on Deck 15. The view of Kumamoto, Japan. The ocean view is more beautiful than I imagined. The small islands are lovely. It’s sunny now. I found Kumomon (Kumamoto’s mascot character). This port is unique. What a surprise… Let’s disembark and go see it. This port is called Kumamon Port Yatsushiro. A shuttle bus runs from the port to Yatsushiro City. We board the shuttle bus. It’s a regular tourist bus. It’s free. We arrive in Yatsushiro City in about 20 minutes. We receive a tourist map here. This time we will not be joining any excursions and will be sightseeing on our own. Along the way, we find a Kumamon sculpture. We decide to visit Shohinken, a teahouse built in 1688 by Yatsushiro Castle lord Matsui Naoyuki. The admission fee is 500 JPY (3.2 USD) per adult. Wow… a beautiful garden and teahouse. It’s a beautiful place. The garden was amazing. We then head to the ruins of Yatsushiro Castle. Built in 1622, it was abandoned in 1870. It has about 300 reviews on Google, so it’s not a well-known tourist spot. There’s a shrine inside. It was a peaceful shrine. We did a little sightseeing before heading back to the port. The excursion included a visit to Yatsushiro Shrine. Take a stroll around Kumamon Port Yatsushiro. The 6-meter-tall giant Kumamon is eye-catching. We can also see the MSC Bellissima, making it a great photo spot. There is also a spectacular Kumamon choir with 54 members. It’s truly impressive. From here, we can take beautiful photos of the hull of the MSC Bellissima. It’s impressive. There are a total of 84 Kumamon figures in the port. This is a unique port where we can enjoy taking photos with Kumamon . The Kumamon painted on the grass is also unique. After walking a little, we can take photos of the ship from the front. It is the largest cruise ship departing from or arriving in Japan. There are also shops and food stalls. Head to the Kumamon goods shop. Stuffed animals. Hoodies. T-shirts. I felt like buying something. Inside the port. There is also a souvenir shop inside. It’s an interesting port. I return to the ship. The departure time is early at 2:00 PM. The departure party will start at 2:00 PM. There are many people there to see us off. There is also live music performance. It’s a grand farewell. The party began. What kind of party is it? As usual, a dancing party. It was a short stay, but saying goodbye to Kumamoto. The Kumamons at the port left a lasting impression. If I had had more time, I would have liked to do more sightseeing in Kumamoto. The port recedes into the distance. All that’s left now is to return to Tokyo from Kumamoto. Let’s take a look at the daytime events. It seems there was a Mr. Penguin show. I missed it. The cruise is nearing the end, and we’re starting to feel tired. It’s the perfect time for a massage at the spa. I received a 50-minute Balinese massage here. It was a pleasant experience. After the massage, I was given a drink. In the evening, the LED screens had a futuristic design. The dress code for this day is casual. There is a dance class going on over there. There is live music in the atrium. We’ll have dinner at the main restaurant. This is our second time having dinner in the main restaurant. Starters. Salad & soups. Pasta & risotto. Main courses. Bread & rice. Desserts. All food at the main restaurant is included in the cruise fare. Drinks are charged separately. Rock lobster bisque. Escargot pie. The inside was cold and felt like frozen food. Wine is available for an additional fee. Bread and butter. Spaghetti with basil tomato sauce. Porcini mushroom risotto. It was delicious. We are greeted by the staff. Beef Wellington. The food felt frozen, but it was included in the cruise fare, so we couldn’t complain. Fresh fruit. Baked Alaska. The desserts were of high quality. We shared a table with the same group as on the first day. Head to the British pub. It was quieter than the other bars, making it a hidden gem. That night, it’s a J-Pop party. We dance as usual. They play some classic J-Pop hits. The dress code is casual. Head to the buffet restaurant. I noticed that they served midnight snacks from 9:30 PM to midnight. The midnight buffet is surprisingly crowded. The pizza looked delicious, but I thought I’d gain weight. Next… Sweets. Fresh fruit. Chicken salad? Soba noodles. Bread. Hot meals. The midnight buffet is surprisingly extensive. Late at night, this is the only place to eat. The main pool on Deck 15. The lighting is beautiful, but there are no events there that night. Head to the stern of Deck 16. A DJ is playing. The fat woman sculpture is surreal. The wake of the ship is faintly visible. The blue and purple lighting is beautiful. Head to Deck 18. The ATTIC Club on Deck 18. The teen club. It was closed during the ship tour, but it’s open now. There are people playing basketball at night. We return to our cabin. The daily program for the next day is posted. We are now at sea south of Kagoshima Prefecture. The cabin bed was comfortable, and we slept well. Day 7. This day is a full day of sailing. All that’s left is to go back to Tokyo. We’ll have breakfast at the LIGHTHOUSE restaurant on Deck 6. The breakfast menu is the same every day. Egg dishes, side dishes. Seafood, salad, rice. Hot & crispy pastries, fruit & yogurt. Breakfast beverages. Japanese breakfast set menu. Cafe latte. Pastries. Croissant. Japanese breakfast, salmon set menu. Eggs Benedict. Looks delicious. Fruit salad. Breakfast was pretty good. The lunch and dinner menus are available. The lunch menu. As with dinner, you can order whatever you like. Hamburgers and sandwiches are available at lunchtime. Aerobics is held on the promenade. Many passengers are energetic from the morning. It’s authentic aerobics. It looks like a good workout. I have my morning coffee at the bar. Coffee Temptations menu. I order a Marocchino. A sweet coffee. A small amount is easy to drink. I order a Mochaccino. A blend of espresso coffee, dark chocolate sauce, and whipped cream. From the window, beautiful ocean view! I’ll spend the whole day on the ship today. The weather is nice, so it might be nice to relax on a sunbed by the pool. The blue ocean is amazing , though a bit windy. On the promenade, dance class is being held. Bingo is being played at the London Theatre. A beautiful blue sky is reflected on the LED screen. For lunch, we head to HOLA! TACOS restaurant. I was able to get in without a reservation. The difference between tequila and mezcal. The menu. It’s hard to decide what to order with Mexican food. I just ordered random things. Nachos (a Mexican snack). Coca-Cola Zero. Yoda from Star Wars. Skeleton. Burrito, $10.79. Not my favorite flavor. Enchilada, $11.99. This was delicious. Check out the daytime events. There are many gaming events. Plaza Bellissima offers 30% off brand-name items. Since we have some time, we head to Sportsplex to enjoy bowling. The basketball court is popular. Bowling is surprisingly quiet, considering the price. $30 for 30 minutes, $50 for an hour. I played bowling for the first time in a while. They have extra-small, small, medium, and large balls. It’s been a while since I last played bowling, but my score was a disappointment, barely even reaching 100. I need to practice more. After bowling, I had a protein drink at the sports bar. I ordered a mango energy shake. The best thing about sports is that we can order a drink at the bar afterwards. Head to the stern. What’s great about this ship is that it has a pool at the stern. There us a quiz event going on in the main pool. We have some time, so we play table tennis. After playing table tennis, I rested on a sunbed. There were a lot of people resting on the sunbeds. For dinner, we head to the sushi restaurant on Deck 7. The yellow-green counter looked photogenic. Sashimi and nigiri sushi. Ramen. I ordered sushi a la carte. Conger eel. Tuna Shrimp. Egg and medium fatty tuna. The sushi was okay. The tonkotsu soy sauce ramen was excellent. Onomichi ramen. The small ramen was a convenient portion. I went to the sushi restaurant twice and highly recommend it. The LED screen is amazing. It was night. There were no events at the main pool at night, so it was quiet. Let’s take a look at the dinner buffet. Japanese-style abalone curry. The Japanese food station offers soba noodles. The dessert station offers a wide selection of desserts. The ethnic food station offers fish and meat dishes. The bread station. The rotisserie station offers delicious meats. The soup and pasta station. The cold cuts and cheese station. The pizza station. Pizza is available from lunchtime to dinner. The grill station offers hamburgers and hot dogs. Meat dishes. Fish dishes. Sausages. Hamburgers and French fries. Fresh fruit. Dressings. Salads. The buffet was great because it was casual. We head to the atrium. There were live music events here every night. Check out the last night events. The highlight is the final entertainment show. The final show will feature all of the previous performers. Unusually, the London Theatre is full. Let’s look forward to the show. It seems there will be a surprise. The show started as usual. Acrobats performed. SMAP’s 2003 hit song, Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana, was sung (famous in Japan). This song is surely familiar to Japanese passengers. The live performance was set against a backdrop of flames. The Mr. Penguin show was very popular, as the Mr. Penguin was very funny. They also performed acrobatics. They sang some great songs. Finally… MSC staff take to the stage. All the MSC staff and performers are on stage. The show concluded with, “What a wonderful MSC cruise.” It was a moving show. There is a photo opportunity with the performers. Next up… the Lego Parade event, starting at 8:45 PM. It’s aimed at children, but adults can enjoy it too. There are a lot of Lego characters. The atmosphere is fun. It was a great event. There is also an MSC Cruises mascot. There is also an LED screen show that day. However, I couldn’t really understand what was being shown. On the final night, there is a silent disco party. Passengers are given headphones. They put them on and listen to music. The silent disco party began. At first, music is playing in the venue, but after this the music stops. Only people wearing headphones can hear the music. Those without headphones had a hard time understanding what was going on. It was a different kind of party, but it was fun in its own way. At the end, music started playing again. This song is amazing. It’s an hour-long party. Instead of saying “goodbye,” it ended with “See you on board.” We have to go back to the cabin and pack up. We need to have our suitcases out of the cabin by 11 PM. Disembarkation information, luggage tags, and customs declaration forms. We attached the luggage tags to our suitcases and took them out of the cabin. Day 8, our final day. We arrived at the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal at 8 AM. A sign reading “Welcome to Tokyo.” Disembarkation times are set for each cabin. The earliest group (number 1) disembarked at 8:30 AM. Our disembarkation number is 29, and we are scheduled to disembark at 10:40 AM. We have plenty of time, so we have breakfast in the main restaurant. We are seated at a table for two. The tables were quite close together, but it didn’t bother us too much. Omelette. Pancakes. Yogurt. Fruit salad. The breakfast was satisfying. The omelet had lots of toppings. When we head to the morning buffet restaurant, it’s almost full. There are some empty seats in the back. It gets crowded on the final day, as some people wait to disembark at the buffet restaurant. We returned to Tokyo after a week. Tokyo Tower. Rainbow Bridge. Odaiba. Over there… the life-size Unicorn Gundam. Head to the Carousel Lounge on Deck 7. We pass through the casino. We’ll wait in the Carousel Lounge until my scheduled disembarkation time. We’ve been waiting for over an hour and there’s nothing to do. The disembarkation announcement come. Disembarkation number 19 began. As we were number 29, we were scheduled to disembark around 10:40 AM. After waiting over an hour, we finally disembarked. We were quite late in disembarking. I’d heard there were some issues with disembarking, but there weren’t any major problems. After clearing customs, I collected my checked suitcases. After this, everyone was free to do as they pleased. The eight-day cruise on the MSC Bellissima was a fulfilling experience. Thank you for watching.
Today we will be looking at the onboard facilities of the MSC Bellissima, the largest cruise ship in Japan. Also, please enjoy the MSC Bellissima cruise report from Jeju Island, South Korea to Tokyo.
