【2025年最新!完全紹介!】朝食が旨い、箱根湯本温泉の泊まるべき宿!『ホテル南風荘』本館和室徹底宿泊レビュー
I’m at Hotel Nanpuso in Hakone Yumoto Onsen! This hotel is about a 20-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Station, and there’s a 10-minute shuttle bus. It’s only 2 million yen! 🚌=3 It’s a hot spring inn located in Takidori Onsenkyo, along the Sukumo River. ♨ Upon entering the entrance, a fairly spacious entrance plaza greets you! There are three check-in stations, including a fully automated check-in machine that gets quite crowded around 3 o’clock. So high-tech! There are tourist flyers on the side, typical of hot spring resorts. The main building and annex have a combined total of 112 rooms, and they’re huge… You get to choose your own yukata, and I got the extra-large one! There ‘s also a reasonable shuttle bus timetable. 🚌=3 Looking up, you’ll see the Showa-era lobby plaza with a slightly retro feel. ♪ The luggage carriers have a very Showa-era feel, which is great . Next to the plaza, there’s a space where you can drink welcome juice . ♪ Isn’t it amazing?! And they even have snacks!? They even have umeboshi sticks! The tea was AHMADTEA… who…? (I’m ignorant) There were three different colors of liquid, from hot to cold , and they were quite thin (lol). Facing the soups was an amenity buffet. You could take as much as you needed, eco-friendly♪ Hometown tax payment?! And you could use it on the spot?! Well, I’d already paid for it on Rakuten so it didn’t matter… (lol). Which was more economical? While I was thinking about this, the room was ready. Room 207, a bit of a nostalgic room with Minami-chan. I stuck it in … I turned it… I pulled it out… and there it was♪ I headed to the Japanese-style room, which had a nice atmosphere…? The non-smoking Japanese-style room in the main building (10 tatami mats + wide veranda, about 5m²). When you think of hot springs, this is the Japanese-style room you get! And it’s spacious! 10 tatami mats means 10 people can sleep there, right? (lol) What about the view from a room that can sleep 10 people? A view of the trees and the neighboring Hotel Okada! Even so, the handrails are incredibly sturdy… (lol) With a space this spacious, it’s definitely not the kind of place to just laze around… The veranda is fully equipped with a lazy-dancing set , and of course, there’s a tenugui towel rack, just like you’d expect at a hot spring! These bamboo partitions add a nice touch, too~♪ Two low tables are connected in the middle, and there’s a guide map of the hotel carefully placed there , which is really huge… The red book is the hotel manual , and it’s about happy hour…? It’s also full of various information (just guessing), and there are also plenty of items they’ll lend you in case of emergency. Is this book a room service book…? Sake 🍶, wine 🍷… 8.8 million yen draft beer… Not bad…💦 QR code for hotel information!? Super high-tech!? Equipped with plasma clusters, the air is great… What ‘s that piece of wood stuck to the wall…? It’s actually a full-length three-way mirror!! There’s a huge storage compartment for the window sitter, big enough to fit five people. The black Kurosuke drape is facing the hanten coat, but it doesn’t have Minami’s mark… There’s also a handy basket to take to the hot springs, which is convenient♪ Oh… yukata… all sizes available…? ? And an extra-large one too…? ? I just got one…? 💦 Below is the safe, and there are signs of it having been moved… (lol) Next up is everyone’s favorite! The minibar corner! Well, at a hot spring resort, you get a tea cabinet, don’t you? 🍵 The ultimate tea and coffee set has arrived!! Mt. Fuji mineral water? Where’s that? And the electric kettle🐘 And Minami’s telephone, which has a very ancient feel , is made of wooden-looking plastic. Beneath the minibar sits a large TV, and on the shelf next to it…? A refrigerator, of all things! The kind that closes at a nostalgic time!! (lol) Inside is the same Mt. Fuji water from earlier! It’s already cold… and it even has a temperature control! Yay!! Next, let’s take a look at the bathroom next to the entrance! There’s only one washbasin, but the surrounding area is spacious and the shop can spread out as much as you want♪ The cup is made of safe plastic , and the face rub is Sekkisei? Otani-san!! Since the toothbrush wasn’t in the amenity buffet earlier, it’s time for the customary wooden toothbrush challenge! Come on, wooden! Since it’s not wood, I’m going to brush my teeth! This one is made of plastic, and a Panasonic hair dryer is being tied up around it … Isn’t this a foot towel…? 💦Even though the bathroom where you use the foot wipes is in the back of the hot spring inn, it’s a pretty impressive bathroom with a bathtub, which is usually appreciated…♨ and… liquid soap… what’s ZIRA… famous…? (I’m ignorant) The water pressure in the shower is strong and splashes everywhere💪💪 The last door is the toilet! A high-tech, fully automatic, illuminated Toto toilet… does that mean…? Of course! A washlet is equipped! It’s the best~♪⛲This is the room, and there are quite a few of them the same size. Next, let’s take a stroll around the hotel♪ First, we went to the souvenir shop, where there was a wide selection of Hakone souvenirs . Minami-chan’s original…?! After all , when you think of hot springs, you think of manju! Original blend tea tea… The back is spacious, and it seems like they have basically everything (just guessing) . There ‘s plenty of snacks and midnight snacks , and there’s plenty of gas in the refrigerator. Hakone Shichiyu Beer is 8.5 million yen, Hakone White Weizen is 7.1 million yen , and there’s also Japan🍶, from 6.5 million yen. Cold tea tea is 2 million yen, the price of a hot spring inn. There are also local souvenirs… and local crafts. Next up is Cafe Rie in the lobby plaza. I’m sure the owner is Rie (just guessing). Even though it’s called a cafe, they serve beer!? Isn’t it great? Minami-chan’s pudding for 5.5 million yen🍺 is 8.8 million yen…or is it a barrel of wine…?! Next up is the playground in front of the hot spring. 30 minutes of table tennis is 8.8 million yen…quite impressive…💦And it’s so big! Is it for competitive play? (lol) Behind that 🏓 is karaoke🎤. 1 hour of singing costs 88 million yen (for 20 people/room). Well, the room is huge… Or 2 hours of drinking and singing costs 38.5 million yen/person. *Reservations are accepted for groups of 10 or more, and advance reservations are required (same-day reservations not accepted). I don’t know if it’s expensive or cheap, so next! (lol) On to the main dish hot spring! Minami-chan is in the men’s bath!? Is he a man…?? (lol) By the way, there’s a spa and of course a rest area just before the hot spring , and the hot spring is seriously huge! The hot spring is great for joint pain and frozen shoulders♨It ‘s irresistible for an old guy like me! (lol) There’s an open-air rock bath and a cypress bath, which is seriously the best! The milk in the rest area is in a paper carton! (lol) Well, they have a wide selection of gasoline, so that’s okay… A 500 can of beer costs 4.5 million yen , a chuhai can costs 2.5 million yen , and a 350 can of beer costs 3.5 million yen, so 500 cans is it… The spa I saw earlier is unnecessary for an old guy like me, this is what an old guy needs!! They don’t serve ramen🍜!!! Besides ramen, they also have snacks and beer! (cry) I couldn’t eat the ramen, so I’ll have a meal!! Speaking of hot springs, in-room dining is a must!! I can’t give that up! The chopsticks have Minami-chan’s logo on them! They’re really motivated! (mysterious) I’ll have a pre-meal KP with grapefruit plum wine♪ Of course it’s not enough, so I order Ichiban Shibori! First, the appetizer, tofu (Minazuki tofu) , then a variety of appetizers (random) and then sushi! It’s a sashimi platter♪ Is it medium fatty tuna? It melts in seconds! ♪ Pickled vegetables, rice accompaniments (seven-colored furikake) , miso soup, Kuroge-WAGYU!! And grilled gyo (grilled Spanish mackerel with miso) , followed by…? White rice, served in a rice cooker🍚. The accompaniments from earlier are tons! So damn delicious!!! The bottled beer evaporated in seconds, I guess I’d rather have it raw! KP🍺 Tempura, boiled gyo (steamed sea bass with sake), Spanish mackerel (sawara) apparently pronounced “date” (water dart)… (I looked it up) And the main dish is fire🔥🔥 WAGYU!!! Oh no! Just looking at it is delicious!! Throwing the condiments into the sesame ponzu sauce!! Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! Finally, don’t forget to serve the dessert ! Activate the fully manual Ohamoni curtain!! Doradora… What’s the weather like today…? Hotel Okada, a beautiful sunny day ☀ Breakfast was served at the “Minamikaze Restaurant” on the 6th floor of the annex. Information on allergen contamination . The venue was so huge you couldn’t see to the end… At the entrance, there were the usual hot spring yukata sleeve guards, thank goodness… I finally saw all the way to the back… It was so huge it was shocking… And as expected, the view was of the trees and Hotel Okada (lol). Breakfast was a buffet style, and the portions were also shocking (lol). First, let’s look at the Japanese accessories corner around here. There are explanations for each item on the wall, and some in English! I love it ♡ (natto) The one I found at the Kobe Bay Sheraton!! This side is the warm zone, with potatoes (potato gratin) , flat meatballs (hamburger steak with cheese) , fried chicken, a delicious combination of potatoes and meat (nikujaga), the epitome of Japanese cuisine (chikuzenni), offal (motsu-ni), chicken meatballs (chicken meatballs), and 🍅🐤 (chicken stewed in tomato sauce). This area is the Western food corner, and the burning machine with all the delicious looking boxed girl bread is what Minami-chan calls 1-minute corn mash soup and drinks (curry), white rice and mushy food (porridge). The “restaurant taste” is provided by a fully automatic machine, and the warm zone continues with German scientific prowess (wieners and the like). And this is the main attraction, the live kitchen, which is really on fire… isn’t this more of a “restaurant taste”? (lol) Commercially available products (right) have hash browns, which are finely chopped (as they say). If you look closely, the instructions are cute… This area is the dessert section, and they ‘re basically sweet (of course…). The amount of digestive medicine (yogurt) is bucket-sized. Leaves (salad) are extremely important when traveling. They also have a wide selection of tofu. Hagino Tofu Shop was founded 200 years ago! Morning staples (cereal), adult soup (coffee) , and children’s soup (juice). Yes, a winner! Yellow and brown go great together! Leaves are an important golden combination . Surrounded by double lovers of Japanese breakfast miso soup ♡ The tropical version is small , but just the right amount ♪ Wow… I thoroughly enjoyed a satisfying breakfast… Hakone Yumoto Onsen Hotel Nanpuso… A long-established hot spring located along the Hakone river ♨ A wonderful hotel that’s also reasonably priced, even with two meals included . Highly recommended!
