72 Hours on the World’s NEWEST & LARGEST Cruise Ship
This cruise ship holds over 7,000 people, but right now only 500 are on board, and we are pumped to get to be the very first people ever to stay on this brand new ship. Tonight’s just getting started. I think that was one of the best nights of my life. Welcome to Star of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world. It’s over three football fields long, 20 stories tall, has eight neighborhoods, and nearly 3,000 rooms. It seriously has enough restaurants and activities that could keep you busy for weeks. Hey, don’t go hit it. Go hit it. But we only have 2 and 1/2 days. And here’s the crazy part. This isn’t a normal cruise. It’s an invite only first look cruise. And when Royal Caribbean invited us, we could not pass up this once in a lifetime trip. Can you tell how relaxed I am? So, join us for the next three nights as we sail from Puerto Rico to Florida and attempt to experience everything this floating city has to offer. [Music] Here we go. Welcome aboard. [Applause] Thank you. Thank you. We are officially on board. Probably one of the first hundred people to ever step foot on this ship. The energy is It is going to be absolutely wild this week. Only having 500 people on a ship that fits 7,000. All right. And now to find our room on the world’s largest cruise ship. I’ve actually heard good things about these elevators. I know that’s a weird thing to point out, but you select your floor before going up. It’s supposed to make him a lot more efficient. Somebody’s in a good mood. Everybody, how do we get in? Oh, are you ready? Oh my gosh, it has her name on it. Here we go. No way. Check this out. This room is huge. And we have a whole wall that’s a window. All I can see is the sea. This is awesome. I think our room is like one of two in the very back of the ship. Okay, before we mess it up, and while it’s still nice and clean, we’ll give you a quick tour around the room. We have so much to show you on the ship. But this feels like as good a place as any to start. As usual, let’s start with the bed test. This might be the best bed test I’ve ever done because we are the first people that get to sleep in this bed. How cool is that? Ready? I like it a lot. I hate that I’m messing things up. Everything is so perfect. This bed comes with a pillow menu. We will be ordering one of each and we will report back on which one we think is the best. Hey, could we try out the conformance pillow and the isotonic pillow? How many? Two. Yes, we could just do one of each. Okay, I will try for you this. Okay, thank you. Massive TV on this wall. And I assume it moves. Hopefully, maybe not. It pivots. It pivots to face to face the bed. I’m scared. I’m just going to leave it the way it is. On this side, we have an entire living room. And this couch actually doubles as a bed. Pretty sure you just pull this thing. Maybe not. Try letting go of the cushion. Ah. Okay. I don’t want to mess it up, but this is a bed. So, you could have two more people in here. And there’s plenty of space for them. This is going to be my closet. And it comes with some really good robes. I have to try it on right now. Can you believe I get to be the first person to wear this room? We’re going to wear that out, aren’t we? It has a hood. Should I just keep this on? Follow me. I’ll take the hood off. Yeah, the hood feels a bit weird. Okay, here we go. We have a nice little desk slash vanity and probably the most important thing to me that I look for in every room, our own coffee maker. That way in the mornings I can have a little coffee before I have to go downstairs and talk to people. It looks like a nice one, too. And here we have a room service menu. Is this included? We shall find out. Looks like we could get breakfast delivered as well. Refrigerator. Another closet. So, if we did have friends, they could have their closet space, too. But instead, I’ll have my closet. Nate has his. You gave me the big one. That’s so nice of you. I use this one. We’re definitely trading. Welcome to the bathroom. Way bigger than I expected. We have two sinks. Lots of room for our amenities. So many drawers. This is crazy. Where’s my hair dryer? There might not be a hairdryer. Royal Caribbean, I have a suggestion. Maybe it’s in one of the closets. Found the hairdryer. They had one after all. I hate to say this, but we get to be the first people to use this toilet, which is really fun. And the first people to use this shower. Spacious with some yummy soaps. I am super impressed. But without a doubt, the highlight of this room is the balcony. Check this out. So, we are on the very back corner of the ship and this balcony wraps 90° around the room. We’ve got some chairs to get sun in over here. And then it keeps going. And if we do order room service, we can enjoy it at our own private table. You can see all the way up to the front of the ship from here. And then over here on this side, you can see all the way down the back of the ship over here. We’re officially setting sail. It is time for our first meal on board. Thank you. There are like 40 different places to eat on the ship. I don’t know how we would ever decide which one to eat at, but thankfully they made us a reservation at this restaurant, Coastal Kitchen. And apparently it’s a sweet only restaurant. I feel very special. And now to address the sexy elephant in the room. Calling me a sexy elephant. Well, Billy, your dress is way more extreme than mine. But tonight is Millennial Y2K party night. So, we came to dinner in our Millennial Y2K costume, which for me is a shirt I found at Walmart a couple days ago. Cara was going for Britney Spears. Clearly, you got to get the whole fit. Oh, baby, baby. You know, it’s millennial night. After dinner, we’ve figured out like no one’s dressed up now. There’s like a party tonight, and I think that’s where we were supposed to wear our costumes, but we’re having the most fun. Everyone we’ve seen is just kind of giving us an extra little stare. You look like you’re from LA. Honestly, I don’t hate it. These earrings were a dollar. My pants were like five. All right, here’s a look at the Coastal Kitchen menu. I think I’ll do the orangey. And how’s the cauliflower today? It’s good. Our first course has arrived. It is this beautiful fried ball of rice and other yummy things. And before this, we had the world’s best bread basket. We’re off to a great start. Oh my god, I didn’t even know that was. It’s like creamy rice with mushrooms and cheese fried with bread all time. And this sauce is like a red pepper sauce, maybe. This is just getting me even more excited about the next 3 days. Got the cauliflower steak on top of yogurt sauce. I’m pretty jealous actually. That looks amazing. Cheers. Since we’re old and we have to stay up for a party, we got some espresso. And I wasn’t going to get dessert because I’m so full. But I just could not resist the dark chocolate tart. Cheesecake doesn’t look that bad either. Approach. What does Tommy think of the cheesecake? N cheesecake. Also, if anyone can leave a comment who loves Nate and glasses, I would really appreciate that. I think he should wear them more. They’re carousers. Turns out we’re not the only ones who dressed up. Thankfully, this is all of our music. We’re all seeable. Young kids are like, “We don’t know this music.” I’m like, “This is the best dance party I’ve ever been to.” is my line of This is like all the music we dance to at our high school prom. [Applause] Wow. We’ve only been on the ship for about 10 hours and I think that was one of the best nights of my life. I don’t think that I’ve seen Midnight in months. And I normally hate dancing, but that was so much fun. It was like every song he was from high school. I feel like an old person, but it was so fun. It takes a lot for Nate to get into a dance party. You nailed it. We nailed midnight. Today has exceeded expectations in every way. I’m not just saying that. All right, we will see you too early in the morning. It’s rare that I get on the dance floor. Good night. [Applause] [Music] Good morning. We have two goals for our time left on the ship. First, we are going to attempt to give you a full tour, which is a massively daunting task considering that this ship is 20 stories tall and over 1,000 ft long, but we’re going to do our best to at least show you the highlights. And then last night, we made this to-do list on my phone. These are the top 10 things we want to do before getting off the ship. But first, let’s find some breakfast. [Music] I have never been so intimidated to do a tour. We are going to attempt to show you all of the highlights starting at the bottom and making our way all the way to the top of the ship. It’s going to be a big day. We can do this. Also, if I’m sounding a little horse, I think it’s from all the singing I did last night. What more can I say? Sign of a good time. We are beginning this tour on deck 4. Behind me is the main dining room, which I believe is where we’re scheduled to have dinner on the last night. Hello. Good morning. We’re back. The middle of deck 4 is clearly the casino, which we may have visited yesterday. It kind of feels like Las Vegas on a cruise ship. And I would not recommend Gambling to anyone. You will lose money in the long run, but we did win $70 last night. Also, this is the first distraction of the tour. They’re hosting a free slots tournament. What is happening? And if you win, you win a free cruise. We’re going to do that and then we’ll continue the tour. Cara, good luck. Win a free. I have babysat down at a slot machine once in my life. Here we go. Here we go. 4 3 second place. First and second, baby. How did you get second? I’m not kidding. My arms are sore. I just flexed for two minutes straight. No idea what I was doing. Zero clue. But it was fine. All right, surprise, surprise. We did not win the cruise. Let’s continue this tour. Get back to work. This is my favorite entrance so far. I love these neon lights. Welcome to the music hall. To be honest, I’m not certain what all goes on in here. Obviously, there’s music involved. Seems like right now they’re doing some kind of dance class. It looks really fun. Earlier, they were doing music trivia. And this place is a bot. Here is in the dance class. [Music] We at the forward of the ship. We’ve arrived at the Royal Theater. Can I go in here? Feels like it. So, this is bouncing. Oh, okay. Sorry to interrupt. No worries. Have fun. They are rehearsing a show right now and I just got kicked out, but he was very nice about it. Outside on deck 5, we have the jogging track. 2.4 laps equals a mile. And later this week, it’s on the to-do list. So, I’m going to attempt to set an FKT gear, which stands for fastest known time. I figure since this is a brand new ship, I can set some kind of record on Straa and leave it there for other people who get on the ship to beat. And at the port of the ship on deck 5, there is an absolutely massive fitness center that is uh much more popular than I would have anticipated. The middle of deck 5 is called the Royal Prominade, and it kind of feels like the hub of the ship. Like, this is where we first walked in. This is where the big dance party was. There’s all kinds of stuff going on in here. We’ve got shopping, unlimited pizza all day. What I’m most excited about is this karaoke room, which I will do. Mark my word. It’s on the to-do list. More shopping. Starbucks. Looks like a giant octopus that they’re putting together that was not here last night. This magnificent thing is called the Pearl. It’s just a very fancy staircase that takes you up to deck six. I actually read online that this is the world’s largest kinetic sculpture. Don’t know what that means, but anything that’s the world’s largest, I’m interested in. There’s a bar right here in the middle. This is like an Irish pub. They’ve got live music, darts, bar. Cool. Cool. Actually, before we head up to deck six, can I get a little coffee? Can I get an ice latte with oat milk? As we make our way up to deck number six, now seems like a good time to explain that the ship is split up into eight different what they call neighborhoods. And the Royal Prominade that we just came from is the first of eight neighborhoods. Up here, there are four different restaurants and probably my favorite place on the whole ship so far. This is why we were up past midnight last night. dueling pianos is one of my favorite forms of entertainment and they seriously blew my mind. So talented. They played some of the best songs even though she didn’t play my Beyonce song that I requested. Still love them. And we’re going back tonight. What about comedy? There is a comedy show, too. Are they at the same time? Are you sure? How will we decide? Okay, we have the cruising professional with us. How many cruises have you been on? Uh, I believe this is 279. We’re very new to cruising. All of this is super impressive to me. But what truly makes this ship special? I mean, the ship itself, I think the way it’s been designed, you don’t feel crowded on a massive ship. And I think it’s beautiful. Part of it is right here where we’re standing. All the incredible venues that are a lot bigger than they are on the Oasis class. Dueling Pianos is one of those. Absolutely a blast. I don’t know if you guys got to sing along last night. What has surprised you most? I think for me it’s every time I go to the overlook. Like there’s no space like that in all of cruising where you walk up, you got the incredible views, the coffee shop. I mean, it doesn’t get much better than that. But, you know, also six massive water slides. Thank you so much. And you’re much taller than you look online. I every single day when I wake up, so thank you. It was nice to meet you. Yeah, nice to meet you as well. So, we just found this, which is pretty epic to have on a ship. Is this the only ship with an escape room or is that a thing? We’re so out of the loop. Like, I don’t even know. See if your card opens. It feels like probably not. Mysterious lounge. See if we have access. Negative. Here’s where things get really fun. This was one of the first places that I found when we got on the ship yesterday, and it’s one of my favorite spots on the whole ship. It’s a sports bar with all kinds of free arcade games. It’s free. Oh my gosh. Let’s see if I can beat my high score from yesterday. Here we go. Played pretty dang good yesterday. Do you remember what it was? No. Official first high score 196. I honestly think Nate could be in here all day, every day. I would never leave. If we didn’t have to film this video, I would just be here the whole time. Nice. Nice. Not high score. In addition to basketball, we’ve got pool. We’ve got foosball, arcade games. We’ve got racing TVs that are playing every single sport. Last but not least, we’ve also got air hockey and shuffle board, which has no sand on it. They’re still twinking some stuff. And I don’t know how I’ve taken over this tour, but I have. Last but not least, the very back of the ship on floor six, we have Absolute Zero, which I believe is the ice skating rink. I don’t think we can get in, but we’re going to try. Nathan, work it. I’m loving the Royal Caribbean version of Nate. Come back. Mystery. This is actually so cute. It’s like the kids lounge. Like there’s just a bunch of lounge chairs and TVs for kids to just come hang out instead of like the adult lounge. Surf sign. Wow. Being a kid and walking into this would be the best. Even as an adult, I’m like very impressed and excited to explore. Everything is colorful and pretty and exciting. So many games. I’m playing at such a disadvantage here. Surfside is definitely like the family area. cut scenes. There’s a little restaurant. There’s ice cream. There’s a merrygoround. Quick break from the tour. We’ve come up to the 15th deck where there is a grab and go Mexican restaurant and it is fantastic. There’s an entire fish bowl of cilantro back. All right, floor number eight. This is the Central Park neighborhood where they have over 33,000 plants. So, it’s a really lovely space. I don’t know if you can hear because there’s a band upstairs, but they’re even playing little bird chirping noises. And they’ve squeezed a lot into this area. So, I’m going to start on one end, go all the way to the other, and show you the highlights. On this side, we have a Japanese habachi restaurant where we’re eating tonight. I love the knife. On the other side of the restaurant, there is a graband go sushi restaurant. We’re going to have to figure out when that fits in our schedule. We have a steakhouse on this side, the trellis bar. Ooh, there’s also ice cream. This is a cute little cafe where we had our breakfast this morning. There was unlimited coffee, a bagel bar, and just little snacks that you can get all day, every day for free. I love this adorable little green pavilion. It is just for sparkling wine. Brilliant. If you’re looking to buy a very expensive watch, you can do it here. And last but not least, this is a jazz bar. And that’s the end of Central Park. Feels like we’re finally starting to make some progress here because decks 9, 10, 11, and 12 are all guest rooms and deck 13 doesn’t exist. I think that’s because that’s an unlucky number. So, we’re heading to deck 14. Halfway through. I’m still obsessed with these elevators. There are less people on the ship, but we have waited zero. Look at this. We’ve not pointed this out, but the day of the week is on the floor of the elevator because who keeps track of the days when you’re on a cruise? The craziest thing is, like we said, we went to bed after midnight last night and this had already changed. Like when we stepped on the elevator to go back to our room, I was like, “Yeah, this is our first time up here. Welcome to the spa smoothies.” Hey, smells so good. Should we get a little juice or smoothie? Thank you. Cheers. Cheers. Yay. Hi. We’re getting a massage this time. Yeah. This way. Yeah. Okay. Both of you sit right here. Both of us. All right. It’s free. Well, that was a treat. Three massages. This is so exciting. When was the last time you had a massage? Both of you. She’s had one a lot more recently than I think that a month or so ago. Oh, this is pretty fine. Who gives you tension? Maybe this one. Oh, every massage I’ve ever had. They’ve told me that a spa treatment is on my to-do list. Yes, both of you will do it. All right, let’s go for your massage for you. We will give you 20% off. It was a trick. Yay. I’m coming back in the morning. Flourished on the 75minute one. They were very convincing. I should have known when they were offering free massages. Really determined to finish that list. Finally, deck 15, our first open air deck. This is the hideaway neighborhood. It is adults only and most definitely the most Instagrammable spot on the entire ship because behind me is an infinity pool that is suspended eight stories up. There’s lots of lounge chairs. I’m certain they’re serving drinks somewhere around here. This is a cool spot. We’re going to have to come back here to lounge at some point, but for now, let’s keep moving forward. I think there’s also a hot tub up here. I have no idea why you would want to get in the hot tub. It is so warm and humid, but I don’t know. Maybe if it was raining or something, it would be cold and that would be lovely. We’ve added a new challenge to our to-do list. We’ve got distracted again. We’re playing elevator lottery right now. We’re just pressing floors until we get the C elevator. You’ll see why in just a second. This is probably very frowned upon, but because it’s not a full ship, I don’t feel that bad. Okay, what floor should we hit next? Uh, lucky number seven. And lucky number seven. Oh, one away. One away. One away. We don’t want be. Do it. Do it. Do it. Come on, Big M. No. Come on. No. Yes. Let’s go. It only took 20 tries. Let’s go. Okay, we only get to go up two floors, but he’s coming. He’s coming. He’s coming. You ready for this? Yeah. Attack. What’s your favorite song? Adele. I’ll tell anything. [Music] That was the most beautiful thing. That could not have been better. It was so worth it. So worth it. And like the harmonizing, I felt like really good because he was making me sound better. Just to explain, this guy puts his piano in random elevators every day and you just happen to get on one and you have live music. We saw him today and I bet we pushed the button 20 times before we got to see elevator, but it was totally worth it. I’m so happy. Back down to 15. Can this Oh, you think we can get him again? I think he’s just still here. I hear him. Come on. We’re back. [Music] We press the button 20 times to get this elevator with me. All right, we’re back on 15. He’s still playing it down. I have breaking news, ladies and gentlemen. AG1 has officially launched three new flavors. Thank you, AG1, for sponsoring this video. The biggest question I get about AG1 is, “How does it taste? Do you like the way it tastes? I’m scared. What if I don’t like it?” The answer is usually, I mean, I like it. I don’t know if you’ll like it or not, but I think it’s great. But now I can officially say I like it even more. I just happened to be with my dad last week when I was trying the new flavors for the first time. Got to do it sideways. Good. Turn it sideways. Nice. I tried the berry flavor and OMG, that’s good. The berry is a winner. Then my dad tried the citrus. That is really good. Yeah. Yeah. Really? My dad doesn’t lie. And on this trip, I packed the tropical flavor. They’re seriously all delicious. And the best part is it’s the same AG1 benefits that we all know and love. A1 supports my energy levels, my gut health, digestion, my immune system, and I just feel so good about all the goodness I’m putting in my body every single day. Plus, even with the new flavors, it still costs less than $3 per day. So, if you’ve tried other health drinks or the original AG1 flavor before and didn’t like it, I encourage you to give these new flavors a shot. Plus, if you use our link or scan the QR code on the screen, you’ll also get a free welcome kit worth $76 when you subscribe, including five AG1 travel packs, a shaker, canister, and a scoop. I hope you love it as much as we do. Back to the cruise. Love you. All right, we made it to the Chill Island neighborhood. Four of the seven pools on the ship are located here in this neighborhood. And the pool that I’m standing in right now is the largest pool at sea with 40,000 gallons of water. Oh, that’s also where we ate tacos for lunch. So, if you get hungry while you’re swimming, go grab some Mexican food. Let’s keep moving forward. Shocker, there’s a bar. You’re never too far from a drink. As we continue forward, we have the lime and coconut. So, if you want a daiquiri, a margarita, anything to sit by the pool, this is your place. And I think they have the friendliest bartenders. Hey guys, we’ve got one more hot tub. And now we are heading into the third neighborhood on this deck. So, this is like the most jam-packed deck on the ship. This is the Aquad Dome. Uh, we maybe should have mentioned this sooner, but the entire deck plans are on the phone. So, if you’ve seen us scrolling, that’s why. Just making sure we know what we’re talking about. But the entire Aquad Dome neighborhood is named for this huge performance area. Unfortunately, it’s not open yet, so we won’t get to see a show here, but it’s like cir disle meets the water. There’s two 60 ft diving boards. All kind of like aquatic acrobat stuff. Can I ask you a question? I should hope I haven’t. Okay. If you don’t, it’s okay. We’ll cut it out. Is it true that you have a $50,000 Royal Caribbean gold chain? Yes, we do. But apparently, we do not have it in store. Okay. I was going to buy it. We had it, but you can still get it. We make a special order for you. That’s crazy. I didn’t believe it. I thought it was a rumor. Can we take a peek around? That is crazy. I sit in the throne. Yes, you did. Okay, I did not know this existed on the ship, but this is the Royal Caribbean bling store. Check out this chalice. Chalice. I mean, how into Royal Caribbean would you have to be? People are loyal to Royal. Sorry, had to look at the sparkly. It’s sparkly and the lights are reflecting off of it. I promise you has not had anything to drink yet. Let’s continue. Which is a shocker cuz I walked by like 12 bars today. This is one of the places that I’ve most been looking forward to taking care of on the ship. This is rye and bean. It’s a coffee and alcohol bar, as the name would suggest, and they specialize in espresso martinis. My favorite. Should we take a break? Keep going on the tour. Cheers. Okay, continuing down behind the Aqua Dome. This is the overlook area. So, this is the whole glass dome that you see on the front of the ship. It’s just like a big hangout area. Of course, there’s another bar down here, so you can grab a drink and it’s just like an amazing place to hang out and watch the world go by. Like, this is the very, very front of the ship. It’s close as you can get to Titanic on this ship cuz you can’t get down to the very front. Believe it or not, we are still on deck 15. These are the overlook pods. So, if you’re not satisfied with the view of the front of the ship from the ground, you can head up top. How good is this? I feel like I’m sitting in the Singapore airport right now, like with all the plants and the glass. And the Singapore airport has been voted the best airport in the world like multiple years in a row. So that’s a massive compliment. Okay, almost done with 415. And last but not least, we have Hooked, which is like the main seafood restaurant of the ship. That was a big one. Okay, deck 16. We have another huge one to get through. Starting with Swim and Tonic, which is the largest swim up bar at sea. This is on the to-do list, so we’re grabbing a drink there tomorrow. We tried this slide. Where does this take us? Let’s find out. It’s green. Green means go, I think. Good luck. Where did you go? How about deck 15? I love that. What a fun way to get between decks. So, we’re kind of in like the middle of deck 16 right now. This is where we had the big Caribbean party, the sendoff sail away party yesterday. Cara was tearing up the dance floor. She was like leading it. We’ve officially made it to the back half of deck 16. So, we’ve entered a new neighborhood. This is called Thrill Island. And this is what they call Crown Edge. So, it’s like a mini ropes course. Like, you hook on a harness, you walk around, and then you jump off and you literally zipline around the edge of the ship. Is this on our to-do list? I hope not. It cost extra, but we might still do it. Okay. This area is called Adrenaline Peak. Tomorrow at 300 p.m. there is a speed rock climbing competition. So, as long as we finish this tour and I have times to have some fun, I’ll definitely be entering that tomorrow. The wall is much bigger than I anticipated, though. This is what I work with. Try to be serious. Next up, we have the base camp restaurant. If you’re by the pool or doing something adventurous and you’re feeling really unhealthy, this is the place to come. They’ve got tater tots. They’ve got chicken fingers. They’ve got all the fried stuff. Next up, we have the Lost Dunes putt putt course. I’m pretty sure they’re having a competition here tomorrow. This is definitely on the to-do list, so we will be participating. Pretty excited to play this course. This might be the most impressive part of the ship. There is an entire water park with the world’s tallest water slide at sea. So, let’s knock something off the to-do list. Finally. Oh, I did not realize this was one of those water slides that falls out from underneath you. Look, it’s a glass floor. Are you ready? No, I’m not ready. Three, two, one. [Music] Oh my god. Oh my god. You good? Oh my gosh, that was amazing. That was so much more exciting than I thought it was going to be. I’ve never heard those noises come through. It’s a drop. Like the floor the floor drops out from underneath you. Are you kidding me? It was amazing. I can’t do it. That sounds awful. Wow. I want to ride that 10 more times. I just was not expecting that much from a water slide on a cruise ship. I’ve seriously never seen you like this. It was like actually pure fear at the beginning and then it got fun. You know you scream too loud though when the lifeguard at the bottom’s asking if you’re okay. You good? Okay, we’re about to head up to deck 17. I think we can finish the tour before it gets dark. So deck 17 isn’t like a full deck. It’s kind of spread out with like these elevated platforms. But this is uh not running right now, but this is the flow rider. It’s like a surf machine. This is definitely on the to-do list. So, you get to see that in all of its glory tomorrow. Welcome to the sports court. You’ve got basketball. They’re doing a pickle ball tournament here. Not a bad place to come shoot some hoops, especially at this time of day. Also, we’re eating dinner during the sunset last night, so this is going to be our first sunset that we’ve got to see on board. Make you give me 100 bucks. I wasn’t too far off. He still got it from his high school days. Yay. Half court. Hey, I just hit a half court shot on camera. All right, the sun’s setting. Let’s go. We’re almost there. Ooh, did the lights just come on? I could have sworn there was a pool up here on the map. I think we’re just not far enough yet. Quick walk. Fast forward walk. All right, it turns out the lime and coconut bar is two stories tall. So, it’s on 16 and 17. And then this is the cloud 17 pool. That wraps it up for 17. Let’s go to 18. We’re almost there. We’re so close. [Music] Hurry. Not only have we made it to deck 18, but we are in our eighth and final neighborhood. This is the sweets neighborhood. So, this is the part of the ship that you can only access if you’re staying in a suite. So, they’ve got like their own private restaurant over here. Private bar with the best bartender on the ship. Got some private hot tubs up here. Huge seating area. And this ship has almost 3,000 rooms, but less than 200 of them are suites. So, if you do book a suite, this is kind of like your own private area to come hang out in. So, hot tub on that side, little plunge pool on this side, and I think we’re going to floor 19 right now. 19. We did it. Well, technically it says there’s 20. Oh, but we have made it to floor 19. We said we were just going to point out the highlights. This isn’t something that I would normally consider a highlight. It’s just kind of like a deck with chairs, but just to finish strong, we came up here. There’s deck 19. It’s just a private place for people who are staying in sweet to hang out. You have a nice view of the ship. Where’s 20? Oh, floor 20 is just the water park. Like, I guess it’s the top of the tallest water slide that I’ve already been to. We did. Wow. I was intimidated to start that tour and it was just as challenging as I thought it would be. This ship is absolutely massive. We started at 10:30 this morning doing this tour and it is 7:15 right now. Tonight is formal night. So, target dress three. I uh refused to participate because of what happened last time I tried to change like that on a cruise ship. Oh gosh. Are you okay? Welcome to Central Park at night. Very different vibe. Wow. Great vibes in here. We’re getting the full experience. Wow. Yay. POV. You had a 9:00 p.m. dinner reservation and uh you just want to eat your food. I don’t feel that way. I Well, we did eventually get our food and uh when we did, it was delicious. Especially dessert. There’s always room for dessert, especially when it’s chocolate, lava, cake. This is about a moment. [Music] All right, we’re ending the night at the piano bar again. We will see you tomorrow to check off everything on the to-do list. Tonight’s just getting started. [Music] Good morning. Do you tell how relaxed I am? What a way to wake up. I just went from the bed that I slept in straight to a massage bed. Got a 75minute massage. Now I got my breakfast and my coffee. The perfect way to start a cloudy rainforest. One thing about being on a ship this big that I don’t think I’ve mentioned yet is just how stable it feels. I mean, I wouldn’t say the seas are rough, but they’re definitely not calm either. And unless you’re looking out at the ocean, you can’t tell you’re moving. Like, when you’re on the inside of the ship, it feels totally still. I get seasick easy, so I’ve really enjoyed that aspect of being on such a massive ship. Oh no. Oh, I can’t do it. Every time. I went twice. I’m nice to meet you. I love your channel. Seriously, you guys travel the world, right? Yeah. Oh, you guys are like you guys. All right, we’re getting serious about knocking off the to-do list this morning. Starting with the cornal tournament. All three, you need it. Oh, no. Lost. Blew it. The first but you still have a chance. First casualty of the cornhole tournament. I just I lost my stride. Like I was doing really well in the warm-up sinking them. Mike made me nervous. He got second last year. Nate, I need you to carry the team here. Step it up. Come on, Nate. That’s what I’m talking about. Pulled it out by the hair of my chin, which is not much. Nice work. Thank you. All right, that was a good game for me. That was our goal. Way to go. All right, man. [Applause] Mark that one off the to-do list. I promise I put wind hole. You did it, man. I know. Same. This is what it’s supposed to look like. [Music] [Music] Ah! Oh! Get through there. No, don’t hit it. Don’t hit it. We’ve got a moving obstacle. Get nice. All right, it all comes down to the last hole. No, I blew it on the last row. The suspense is killing me. Okay. Okay, guys. So, we have the winner right here. You’re the first place. You had the second place. Congratulations. Rare moment. We took first and second in the putt putt tournament and we were also the only two that played. But most importantly, I got first place. Yeah. Yes. Yes. Yes. Got the grab and go sushi. Wow. Look at that. It would have been so refreshing yesterday. Actually, like a cold rapper. Yeah. You go order for me. I don’t want to get in anymore. We got to mark it off the list. Was this supposed to be a challenge video? I love the taste. Let the menus float around the pool. A tip toe up bar instead of a swim up bar. Try to keep as much of your body out of the water as possible. Keep my metal dry as well. Thank you. To the world’s largest swim bar at sea. All right, I’m breaking in the new track because in 3 weeks I’m going to be attempting the hardest race of my entire life. I’m going to be running UTMBB Mont Blanc, which is a 106 milei race through the Alps. Starts in France, goes down through Italy, up through Switzerland, ends back in France, and it has 30,000 ft of elevation gain. To put that in perspective, that is double the elevation gain of the Leadville 100 that I did last year. And there was a lot of mountain climbing in that race. But that’s not going to be the next video, but the next one that we post. So, I would absolutely love if you would show up to watch it and see if I finish the toughest race to date because I’m signed up for something else crazy later this year. All right, we’ve just made our first and only stop of the trip at Royal Caribbean’s private island, Coco K. And we have left the ship for one reason and that is to ride the tallest water slide in America. Anything that ends in ESTist got to do it. This is Star of the Sea. This is the ship we just got off of. And this is Icon of the Sea, which is basically like Star of the Seas sister ship. I think Star of the Seas is technically like 1 foot longer just so it could be the newest, biggest ship in the world. But this is the first time that these two ships are meeting. And this will just give you some perspective for just how big they are. Is that our cabin? That’s us. The one that’s in. One, two, three. That’s us. We’re here. We made it to the top. Are you going further than me? You’re definitely going. There we go. Oh, no. Okay. Wow. Oh my god. Oh my gosh. Do I still have a bathing suit on? That was crazy. I was not expecting it to be that extreme. Oh my gosh, that’s the biggest wedge I’ve ever had. That was fun. I’m glad I wasn’t an old lady and stayed back. Nate convinced me to come. He was like, “It’ll be so fun.” I was like, “Okay, fine.” I like the rainbow. That was epic. It was actually so fun. I think needs more water. I think my back is burnt. Do I have red? I was like going up on the sides where it was dry. Fun fact, I have cruised with Royal Caribbean one other time in 2008 with my parents and my brother and sister. Let’s just say cruising has come a long way since 2008. And what’s even crazier is we stopped here at Coco K. But from my memory, there was like nothing here and now it’s like a city. There’s all kinds of stuff. Hi, it’s Caribbean night. What is happening? Tonight’s dinner is everyone in one dining room. Everyone sitting with the new friends they made. Great way to end the cruise. Hey hey [Applause] back again. Give it to me your best. So reminder, no photos, no videos of the performance. Okay. Thank you. Thank you guys. Thank you. When I was doing the tour, I said they weren’t doing the big like water performance, but they’re doing a live rehearsal for us, but we’re not allowed to film it. So, we can mark it off the list cuz we’re seeing it, but unfortunately, you don’t get to. [Applause] I’m a little nervous. They didn’t have the song. Really filling up, bro. We’re next year. I’m going to call Cara. Cara Cara. Cara. Cara. There she comes. There she comes. Show love to Cara. I would like to make it known that my first two song choices were available. So, this is my plan C. So, I would like any help I can get. She wouldn’t tell me what she picked. around the world in our element. I think it is not at all what I was expecting. Adele Taylor Swift. One last stop on the cruise and I’ll let you guess what it is. It is past midnight, but we’re back. Last stop on the cruise. Floor [Music] 13 doesn’t exist. Deck. Keep calling floors. Floors 9, 10, 11. Dang it. Let’s make a blooper real just to see. Floor 13 doesn’t exist. I can’t do it. Floors. Oh, are you doing this on purpose? Seaweed massage. We rock you like a sushi. Oh, I love this. They have the girl as fast. Turns out the piano player is also one of the world’s best beat boxers. All these sounds are coming out of his mouth. There’s nothing else. [Music]

Who are Kara and Nate?!
2016-2019: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuFv4iF8wgg&t=1s
2020-2024: https://youtu.be/ikAN9e0gBaU?si=G644UGWIqPrOzTYW
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.
We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted 😉
So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to 😉 Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are in our 10TH YEAR of finding the best adventures the world has to offer 🙂
We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

Awesome video Kara and Nate! Is that Kaycee Stroh who played Martha in High School Musical dancing next to Kara in 5:52 in the video?
Go Kara!! Love the brave kareoke choice! What happened to your tummy? I imagine you accidentally clumsied something
27:25 did anyone else see the RTR E-pit bikes
Hey Kara….. I noticed I also wear my white hat I have kinda near how t'a do; turning the rim,,, "Bridge"… hat6 words; Yewa kinda close t'a o' hat.
Maybe it's just me but all the things I've seen from NCL and Royal lately feels like they're desperately trying to emulate Virgin Voyages.
Hands down, best part was Nate's joy at the Y2K dance party!
😊
Asking the waiter how the food is and his look ."we have never made it before" 😂😂😅
Nate should definitely wear more of these glasses
Wow🎉😂
All the People saying they would never do a cruise, because 7,000 people on a ship… don't understand the SIZE of the ship. I did TWO WEEKS on a Royal cruise, and still never saw or did all of it! And I tried to! This made me so happy to watch, (and slightly envious in a sweet way!) My Royal cruise was the BEST vaca of my life!
Honestly, the best part of Kara & Nate’s videos is how they make you feel like you’re right there with them—whether it’s Nate being extra animated, Kara’s calm balance, or those little funny moments that everyone notices in the comments. Even if cruising isn’t your thing, their energy, kindness, and authenticity make it impossible not to smile. This community vibe is why I keep coming back ❤🚢
Really? Wearing your ball cap in the dining room at dinner time? Where is Tony Soprano when you need him? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A85u4gSoO6I
That room is amazing!❤
These two are a trip! What a fun loving ❤️ couple! Thoroughly enjoy watching their travels & adventures! 😊

Was that the infamous unlimited drinks on royal Caribbean for life chalice I believe it's worth like 100000usd
When Nate was showing the sports area, especially the Basketball court. My mind went…I wonder how many balls have been lost in the ocean from cruises 🤔
Who was the other vlogger vlogging only for cruise
This video has now made me add this cruise ship to my bucket list.
What is the pool scene like.
I just made a vid on my first cruise, hopefully soon ill get to go on this one!!
That ship looks AMAZING! Too bad, I’m doing a challenge to sail each ship starting with the OLDEST 😊
You guys look so happy
Not Indy sitting across from them at the hibachi dinner!
Kara and Nate you guys are awesome! But this cruise yikes, as someone who recently walked into a restaurant while traveling and walked right back out because Americans were really loud ( pretty much every European and South American were like yikes and we all found a more chill vibe tapas place) this cruise is a nightmare😂

Nate reminds me so much of my brother lol
Oooo Kara got the fun pants, glasses, and hair out.
Whoa! That is crazy how it looked like you were in a city full of shopping.
Yes….Nate looks good in his glasses! That was my first thought when the camera panned on him
I met my now husband on the carnival imagination in 2013 with the backstreet boys on board.
i Love you guys so very much
