Maybe the most crowded tourist spot in Japan? A night walk in Dotonbori Osaka

So, I’m just sightseeing today.
I’m not teaching you anything.   I’m just sightseeing. So, just
follow me on this trip. [Music] By the way, um looks like they are having
elections in Japan tomorrow. So, maybe that’s why all the places are booked and stuff, but let’s
see. So, I’m back in Dotonbori. Let’s see what we’re going to see today. First things first, I
need to find accommodation. Well, this is like not how you should travel. Guys, when you travel, book
your accommodation first. Like the entire Osaka is booked. But I found a solution. After lots of
research and asking people, I finally came to the conclusion that I should try a manga cafe. Now a
manga cafe is just like an internet cafe or it’s just a place where you can go and read manga uh
manga is like Japanese comics for those who don’t know. So you go into this place and just read and
they give you a booth like office space I would say and you’ve got options. You’ve got options
to just have a desk and then there’s a option of having something like a a little mattress, but
it’s really tiny. I’ll show you. But right now, they told me I have to go after 8:00 p.m. cuz
that’s when they’ll count 8 hours cuz if I go now, they’ll charge me double. So, keep note of that
if you ever use a manga cafe. 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. they said. So, not like I’ll be reading.
I’m going to be exploring. But hey. Yeah. See those people? They’re lining up
to enter a restaurant. Everyone does   that here. It’s nothing like paying the
bouncer. Just line up. The turn will come. [Music] finally found the political rally in
Japan for the first time with an audience. elections are on tomorrow. So,
this is his last campaign. So, I am storing my bags in a coin locker. This is
a coin locker. And you just well if you find one available you can put your bags in and then you
put coins. So this is 600 yen for the largest one. And this other one is 400 and the like.
But it’s located in an alley which is weird. Weird but okay. It works. [Music] [Music] That’s how many people there are. You got [Music] to get Congratulations. [Music] [Music] Oh, wow. [Music] [Music] It’s Huh? [Music] [Music] Hello. [Music] [Music] Wow. Let me go. [Music] Oh, here you can appear in the
picture at the top. [Music] Can you see me? [Music] [Music] [Music] I made some [Music] good idea. Of [Music] course, I’m visiting this store. Looks like they killed the cuidori tower door.
It’s not here anymore. It’s not drumming anymore. [Music] there. [Music] [Music] Thank you, baby. [Music] We
see which I told you right now. This has to be my favorite sign in the front. [Music]   See almost get all these guys. [Music] [Music] Another way to go [Music] [Music] right [Music] There are so many people. I was actually
expecting to find people already dressed in like Halloween costumes, but it seems we are a
weekend too early. Anyway, this is on the way. So, so many lights at night. [Music] So many lights. [Music] I don’t understand the obsession of many
restaurants with Spider-Man. [Music] I got I’m stay. [Music] Oh, they’ve got a band on the boat. Ah, this must be like a
super super executive boat. [Music] [Music] Look how organized people are here. Look,   they parked their bicycles in the
designated place on the bridge. Now this is the great view of the Dotonbori. So this is the Dotonbori. canal. I was this close to starting to
explain about like the canal and   who Mr. Dotton was and the like, but you
can just watch my other video about the history of Don Bori. Click the link in the
top right. Oh, wait. Top right. Like what? Here. Here. I don’t know. Just click the
link and watch the history of Dotonbori. Come inside. This is not a wooden bridge. They just make
it look like it’s wooden. I don’t think it is. [Music] And it could be it could be wooden.
After all, it’s just for pedestrian traffic. Oh, isn’t this an extension
to the bridge? I don’t know. [Music] Majority of the people are like over there by
the right side. I don’t know you call that the banks of the river. But yeah, that’s where
everyone seems to spend most of their time. But that’s where a lot of restaurants are and
the boat rides and the like. But look at this. So many people. [Music] [Music] [Music]   There’s no idea. [Music] [Music] Now it’s time to go and take the
iconic picture at the gur man sign or as you native English speaker say glyco man. If you want to know the history about
the Glyco man and why he’s actually   called the Guriko man, watch the video in the top right where I outline the history of
the Glyco man. It’s a backstory. Oh, looks like the ferris wheel is
working. The last time I was here,   it wasn’t. Do I want to go on the ferris wheel
alone? No. Looks cool though. Check it out. It’s actually moving, but you can’t
tell. Maybe. Let me stand still. the building next to them. That’s
the queue for the ferris wheel. This side of the canal seems quaint and just
quiet. Gala Resort 2023. What is this? Oh, maybe it’s a hotel or a bar. Maybe. I can’t tell, but [Music] Okay. So, there is a cop up there. I suspect
he is preventing or they are preventing people from jumping into the water. Maybe,
I don’t know. Something might be happening. I don’t know why the police are
here. Something might be happening,   but I think it’s to prevent disorderly
conduct. I saw a video of some guy and he captured some guys jumping off this bridge.
I was hoping I could catch that, too. But look, it’s the I think they don’t want anyone
doing some funny shenanigans. Anyway, night. [Music] [Applause] [Music]   And yes, they have street vendors here
also. I don’t know why, but so much built in 1983. [Music] English. [Music] [Music] [Music] I want you to see how many people are up ahead. Look in the far distance. [Music] It’s like a horde, an army. [Music] I will definitely be in a
lot of people’s pictures. [Music] That’s that’s a sumo wrestler. Now I went and watched sumo. Check out
the video in the top right corner. We met some real sumo wrestlers, not these fake   ones who are posing as sumo wrestlers. But
it’s Halloween, so people have costumes. See here, they’re dressed as king
and queen or something. Unbelievable. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Hello there. It surprises me, but there are actually
people who are here with their babies   like pushing babies in a stroller in such a
busy place. I guess they don’t have a choice. [Music] You could get tired just walking around.
There’s so much many things to see. [Music] [Music] [Music] the smaller alleys. The smaller
alleys don’t have much people,   so it’s easier to walk, but it’s very in Japan. Don’t forget to like, comment,   guys. Where do you want to see me go in
Japan? That is, since I’m here right now, I think they’re arguing. They’re
having relationship problems. Yeah, but don’t don’t mind me. I’m just
talking. Uh, where am I? I seem to have lost my coin locker place. Let’s see
from here. And the coin locker should be uh I’ve lost the coin locker. [Laughter] Everyone feel like this street is so quiet. Oh, that’s to the shrine. [Music]   What do you highlight? No. [Music] Some shrines we go pass by and pray. Some spots are just so picturesque. Like
you can take some really great photos,   but they probably don’t look this good during
the day. So nighttime is the best time. [Music] [Music] Thank you. So join membership guys to enjoy
some extra extra bonus videos and you’ll also be supporting me
in my YouTube creation journey. I think I’m getting closer to the to
the loca. This looks kind of familiar. Oh, I think I just passed my lockers. They’re in an alley, so it’s very easy to miss. Yep. I came to the wrong coin locker. [Music] It’s on the other side. On the
wrong side of the street. H it happens. [Music] I think I’ve got it right this time. Like if
this is the wrong locker, then I don’t know. [Music] [Music] away. had to do a little run. It would be
unfortunate if I had to get bashed   in Japan of all places where people are
so careful with their driving. In fact, it would be embarrassing. [Music]
How slow were they moving? Amazing. [Music]   the guy’s So hey Let me show you something. So, in
Japan, they make these really lifelike   uh food dishes. Let me show you the wax. They’re
made of wax. Check this out. This is not real. Like there’s some really good artists who just
make this stuff from wax and it looks so lifelike. [Music] The good part about it is that they they make the
wax model from the actual food. Uh like they’ll prepare the food and then the artist uh uses
the the image as reference and the like. But what I like most is that the food actually
looks like the wax thing. Or does the wax   thing look like a food? I don’t know. The wax
thing looks exactly like the food. Therefore, when the food comes, it’s exactly
like what you saw on the menu. Yeah. [Music] Still looking for my my luggage. Straight. [Music] This looks familiar. Now I
think I’m in the right track. [Music] bar moonwalk. It’s an interesting bar as well. The theme is Michael Jackson in that bar
and they play a lot of Michael Jackson and then they have this interesting thing
where you order from the phone and you just order on the phone and the order
comes and then you make a payment later. Yep. It’s the alley with my luggage going lock. So guys, I hope you enjoyed
