Tokyo is known for many things: omakase sushi, historic temples, neon-lit skyscrapers, quirky cafes, and traditional tea houses. What many people may not know is that Tokyo also boasts some of the best vintage shopping. I recently returned from Tokyo and discovered some of the best vintage stores I’ve been to, where you can score some serious deals. This one store I went to had the most beautiful collection of designer bags—I almost splurged on a Chanel bag! I went down a rabbit hole and started discovering other excellent vintage retailers in the area that would delight any fashion lover. If you’re heading to Tokyo, don’t miss the vintage shopping and add this store to your list of places to visit.

Best vintage shopping in Tokyo

Paradise Vintage is a vintage handbag store located on a side street just off of Omotesando, a high-end shopping avenue in Tokyo. They have two locations right across from each other, and this store had an incredible selection of Chanel handbags in pristine condition.

Prices are reasonable, considering the condition of the bags. For example, they had a double flap classic Chanel bag in lambskin for $4,100 USD. They also sell accessories and carry other designer brands including Fendi, Dior, and Louis Vuitton.
