Rainy Day Adventure in Sendai — Still Worth the Trip!

All right, guys. It’s a rainy day. I am in Sai. That’s in the Tahoku region of Japan. And yeah, I’m looking around Sai and I’m going to show you guys a little bit of Sai and also tell you guys what I think about about Sai. This is sort of a back street in Sai. It’s no secret that Sai is nowhere near as visited as the typical tourist places like Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and maybe Hiroshima. So, I walked a little ways down the street and I found a park. This is Sutsuji Gaoka Park, and it looks really beautiful with lots of Sakura. Look at that. All those trees. Some of the blossoms have already fallen if you guys want to look along the side. Wow, look at this park. So beautiful, even on a rainy day. This is almost like something out of a Dr. Seuss book. I mean, it just seems so magical. You see all the trees, the shrubs, lots of stuff. Oh, look at this. There’s some kind of boat race VR. Oh, wow. That looks fun. Oh, look at what they’re doing. [Music] That is so cool. You put that thing over your head and you basically live in virtual reality. I see more trees with the cherry blossoms. Beautiful. Look at this. It’s a cruffle place. All right, guys. Let me eat this. Oh, wow. So good. So moist. Just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. Looks like there’s several other different stalls. I don’t know what type of food they’re serving at some of these others. All right. So, let’s look more over on this end of the park. I cannot get over how beautiful this is, even on a gloomy day. Look over here. There’s some roses on that tree. Look at all those sakura and chameleas. All right, so we left the park. Let’s walk down this street. This is a pretty nice looking street. Even though it’s raining, it is a lot colder in Sai than it was in Tokyo. I’m actually wearing my heavy jacket cuz I think it’s only about 40 Fahrenheit right now. Maybe like four or five Celsius. So, it’s a little chilly. All right, guys. I found a place here in Sai where I can get some delicious ramen. All right, guys. I found a pork ramen. I’ve got a couple pieces of pork, some noodles, some greens, some seaweed. Man, this looks good. Let’s give this a try. Yummy. [Music] kind of hot, but it’s good. Very good. Got a piece of pork here. Good pork. Yeah. It’s not the best ramen that I’ve ever had, but it’s pretty good. It’s definitely edible. Probably give this like a seven out of 10. I don’t know. Going to try the noodles. [Music] So good. So moist. So soft. They’re really good noodles. All right, guys. It’s now night. I’m at Sai Station. I’m probably going to try to head back. Uh it actually gets a little bit busy. Yeah. See, this is kind of what the place looks like. Well, I’m going to see if I can find my way back. It’s a little bit cold at the moment, but I think I’m going to be all right. [Music] I’m out of the station and I’m now going to go try to find my hostel. It’s kind of cold as I mentioned before. And it is rainy. Uh, it is kind of a gloomy day, but I’m not going to let that ruin my mood. Going to keep a smile on the face. Here’s a little look at the place. I think my place is somewhere down this street. Yeah, it’s somewhere down here.
