a quick wander around Nagoya
It’s around 7 a.m. and a bit gloomy and we’re walking towards Kiyosu Castle Castle lovers and train enthusiasts
will definitely enjoy this area While this is not the actual inspiration
of that setting in Spirited Away This red bridge that leads
to the castle gate looks very similar Castle grounds
is still closed this early but the view outside
is already well worth it We’re walking towards
Shin Kiyosu station as we head to our next destination,
Nagoya Castle *sugoii* This entrance is near
the Nagoyajo Station exit There isn’t much of a line
at the ticket counter Two people Yes Thank you This structure
is the Southeast Corner Watchtower The Honmaru Palace
was authentically rebuilt in 2018 It served as the official residence
of the Owari Tokugawa clan There it is! Is this the main castle? I hope you’d be able to record
the sound of a crow The Main Castle Keep
has been closed since 2018 and is scheduled for reconstruction due to earthquake-resistance concerns Since we couldn’t go inside the castle,
we just roamed the area outside Nessa’s favorite bird
is everywhere around here It’s around lunch time
and we’re headed to one of those buildings
across from here We’re having our lunch
a la government employees at their cafeteria
located on the 5F Their menu is even displayed
with their plastic version which is called
shokuhin sampuru The beverages menu is displayed
in another glass cabinet It’s like we’re teleported
