Japanese Fire Festival – Nachi no Hi Matsuri 那智の火祭

Nachi Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in Japan. Each year on July 14th, a purification ritual is performed with pine torches and tall flat mikoshi (portable shrine) representing Nachi Falls.
