NARA, JAPAN: Todaiji Temple, Bowing Deer, Green Mochi

Our visit to Nara, Japan (奈良) with the bowing deer at Nara Park, the massive Todaiji Temple, and delicious hand pounded mochi at Nakatanidou. Nara is a short train ride away from Kyoto and is definitely worth at least a day trip to explore the sites and history of Japan’s first permanent capitol. Nara is simply amazing. Get there!
