HOKKAIDO (TR) – A 41-year-old man in custody in over the murders of three family members at a home in Sapporo City last month has divulged that he “had a grudge” against his older sister, police said, reports Fuji News Network (Nov. 23).

According to police, Junichi Nakamura, a resident of Kita Ward, is alleged to have fatally stabbed his father Michinori, 68, mother Mieko, 83, and older sister Chieko Kawamura, 55, with a survival knife at the home of his parents on October 31.

Nakamura turned himself at around 11:40 a.m. that same day. Police investigated and found the three family members collapsed on the first floor of the two-story home in the same ward.

Subsequent investigations revealed that Kawamura had dozens of stab wounds over her body. Nakamura later said, “I had a grudge against my older sister.”

He has also largely admitted to all of the charges. He said, “I don’t remember killing my father and mother, but given the circumstances, I think I was the one who killed them.”
