　日本ハムの郡司裕也捕手が２２日、来季の背番号が今季の「３０」から「３」に変更になることを明かした。エスコンで開催されたファン感謝イベント「Ｆ　ＦＥＳ」に出席し、「背番号３になります。非常に責任のある番号。ファイターズの背番号３は田中賢介さんのイメージが強いですけどこれからは郡司のイメージが強くなるように頑張りたい。最近背番号３０を買っちゃった人は、払い戻しには対応しておりませんので背番号３を買って下さい」と郡司節で呼びかけた。

The number was worn by Gosho Kato until 2012. In the past, the number has been worn by many key players, including Hiromitsu Ochiai and Kensuke Tanaka.

This season, he played 111 games and hit .297 with a .10 Home Run batting average. He played the fourth position at the end of the season, and manager Shinjo said, “Gunji-kun is also a utility player, and no matter where we let him play, he played safe and did his job well no matter batting order where he played. His salary will go up threefold.” He praised his utility, which allowed him to protect the inside outfield in addition to his main job catcher, and the team has high expectations for him.
