Exploring Kawaguchiko on a Rainy Day | Hidden Beauty of Mt Fuji 🇯🇵

In this Sinhala vlog, I take a day trip from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko, one of the most popular spots to see Mount Fuji but the weather had other plans!

What started as a warm morning in Tokyo quickly turned into a rainy, chilly day by the time I reached Lake Kawaguchiko. Mount Fuji was hiding behind the clouds, but that didn’t stop me from exploring.

I stopped by the Instagram famous Kawaguchiko Lawson store with the Mt Fuji backdrop (well, usually), then made my way to the Chureito Pagoda, where I literally ran up the stairs, getting my heart rate up to 140 bpm!

Despite the rain, I managed to capture some moody and beautiful photos of Kawaguchiko. Later, I took a peaceful walk along the lake before finding a cozy Japanese BBQ spot for dinner, followed by a much-needed coffee at a trendy local café to warm up in the 7°C weather.

Finally, I headed back to Kawaguchiko Station for my return trip to Shinjuku — and here’s a tip: Always pre-book your return tickets and reserve your seats, especially if you’re visiting on weekends or holidays!
