Asakusa Street Food Guide | 3 Must-Try Japanese Snacks in Tokyo!
Touring Asakusa. Here are three treats my guests really loved. A chewy matcha crepe filled with cream, then bruleeed for that crispy, smoky finish. Not too sweet, just perfect. Many shops sell it. But this spot is my personal favorite. A warm, fluffy melon pan with rich vanilla ice cream inside. Crispy outside, soft inside. The smell alone will pull you in. Lots of places offer it, but this shop is the one I always recommend. My favorite street snack, tayyaki. In Japan, people argue head first or tail first. I always go for the classic red bean filling. Even if you’re not a fan of red bean, I say give it a try. So, matcha crepe, melon pan ice cream, or tayyaki, which would you try first? Let me know in the comments.
