Yuuki Yoshiyama, one of Japan’s most influential DJs and producers, has been shaping the electronic music landscape for nearly three decades.
Since launching his career in 1996, he has performed in more than 15 countries, supported over 50 DJ Mag Top 100 artists, and collaborated with global heavyweights including Eric Prydz, Fisher, Mark Knight, Bob Sinclar, and Meduza. Nicknamed the “Tech Maestro” for his seamless mastery of tech house, house, techno, and trance, Yuuki is celebrated for high-energy, groove-driven sets that captivate audiences worldwide.
In October, Yuuki made his Boothaus debut in Germany, sharing the stage with Meduza, Wade Musik, and Siak to a sold-out crowd. “What a night! I’ve found another favorite venue in the world. The support from the Boothaus team and We Rave You was incredible,” he said after the show.
He also recently released his new single “KAMUKURA,” a track inspired by Osaka’s iconic “Kitchen of the Nation.” Named after a ramen restaurant he has cherished for over 25 years, the song fuses Afro-tech rhythms with traditional Japanese percussion, channeling Osaka’s soulful energy while reflecting the city’s evolution into a new era.
During the Amsterdam Dance Event, Yuuki performed five shows and took part in a panel featuring leading Asian producers, where they discussed shared industry challenges and how to elevate fan experiences globally. “It was inspiring to share ideas with so many talented people and think about how we can keep pushing the scene forward,” he said.
Yuuki’s influence extends far beyond the DJ booth. He serves as Executive Producer of GMO SONIC, Japan’s largest arena dance music festival, and is the former Executive Director of EDC Japan. He also curates music and events as the Music & Entertainment Director at W Osaka, while his original parties—UDVD and JIWAJIWA Tokyo—have become key fixtures in Tokyo’s nightlife and across Asia. As a producer, promoter, creative director, entrepreneur, and author, Yuuki blends Japanese culture, global trends, and creative innovation, cementing his place as one of the defining forces in Japan’s modern electronic music scene.
With a standout European debut, a new track gaining international momentum, and an expanding network of collaborations across Asia and beyond, Yuuki Yoshiyama is carrying the spirit of Osaka onto global stages—reshaping what it means to be a Japanese DJ in the world today.
