SmartRyde, a Japanese company offering pre-booked airport transfer services, has teamed up with travel technology company Amadeus to add seamless ground transportation into travellers’ itineraries.
Travel sellers using the Amadeus Travel Platform will be able to help their travellers lock in a ride to over 1,000 airport routes worldwide well ahead of their trips. Prices will be stated upfront, across a range of standard vehicles to premium chauffeur options. Confirmation and updates will be updated in real-time.
The service will first be offered to agents in Japan and South Korea, before rolling out to travel agents worldwide.
“This collaboration is designed with the traveller in mind,” said Sota Kimura, CEO of SmartRyde. “We want to help travel agents offer a full-service experience – with safe airport transfers in addition to flights and hotels.”
“This partnership reflects our ongoing mission to connect the travel ecosystem and deliver more choice, convenience, and peace of mind to our customers,” added Peter Altmann, VP mobility and travel protection, Amadeus.
