THE Hiroshima Travel Guide: Japan’s Hidden Gem

Hiroshima is the hidden gem of Japan, and it’s one of my favorite cities to explore. I’m going to show you what a perfect 3-day itinerary looks like. From the rich culture and history, the beautiful views, and wonderful people, there’s so much to do in Hiroshima, which is why I recommend at least 2 or 3 days. In this video, I’ll break down where to go, including a few off the-beaten path day trip options, what to do in each area, what to eat, and how to even get there. Let’s start with how to get there. Kiroshima is as easy to get to as Kyoto and Osaka and is only a couple hours of additional travel time from Tokyo. I’m here with my best friend. You can take a direct Shinkansen from Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka, making it a fantastic addition to the standard trip many first- timers take. That looks so good. Damn, that’s crazy. Oh my god. is like dice for the restrictions. I literally was like I don’t like wasabi. Oh, you don’t like No, I know. I’m like the only Japanese in the world, but it’s like so overwhelming. Like I can’t I love to be overwhelmed. Now, let’s talk about where to go. Hiroshima can be done as a day trip from Kyoto or Osaka, whether you explore on your own or book a tour. Although be prepared for an incredibly long day. Trust me, you’ll want to maximize your time here properly. [Music] It’s gorgeous here. One of my favorite places. [Music] [Music] Yeah. [Music] [Music] What do you call [Music] [Music] [Music] My grandfather was [Music] My [Music] [Music] Spanish [Music] jacket. [Music] It’s too [Music] So this is how your last time was great. [Music] Get me in the AC. [Music] It’s super One, two, three. [Music] I am tired. So hot. [Music] Your second destination should absolutely be spent on Miaima Island where you can see the famous Tori gate in the water. There it is. It’s like an extra 10 ft of water today. It takes about 40 minutes by train and ferry from Hiroshima and you’ll easily spend an entire day here. [Music] Okay. [Music] Zack. Zack. [Music] Hey buddy. Hi [Music] Oh man. [Music] [Music] Yeah, [Music] this place is crazy. Yeah, it’s very pretty. Here comes our beautiful area. Waiting for B but show you oysters. [Music] These look hot and good. I’m excited. I love that the guy brought it out to me, by the way. Yeah. I didn’t hear our number called, but he just like brought it right to me. I’m like, I know what 16 is in Japanese. No, oyster. I don’t know how to say oyster. You’re going to like that. You’re going to like that a lot. You don’t even like oyster. You’re going to like that a lot. Okay. That’s so good. Okay, now move the camera so you can Is that hot? It’s top of this like you got it. It’s good, right? That’s actually really good. I kind of want more. No, we don’t want to spoil. Okay. Okay. We don’t want to spoil it. Okay. Always just one and done. Remember, one and done. It’s our rule. Open it. Y queen. That looks good. Fried oysters. Roast beef. Ew. Yum. The flavor soft destroyed. Sorry, I’m sorry. I’m full. [Music] Oh, awesome. So good. Lastly, I suggest one off thebeaten path day trip. I’ve recently discovered all of the beautiful destinations nearby, including Tomono Ura, also known as the town that inspired the movie Ponyo, Okunoshima Island, or as some call it, Bunny Island, and Onomichi, a quaint port city known for its gorgeous temple walk. I’m back in Onomi because I can’t stay away. I think it’s so pretty. I love it here. It’s one of my favorite places. Let’s check it out. Wow, it looks like a painting. Hello there. Setting in your butt. [Music] It’s So pretty here. I love it. [Music] I’m smooshed. Hi. Hi. I should probably put the camera the other way. I don’t know. I know. Sorry. actually the program [Music] stuck in here. She’s stuck. [Music] Wow. Wow. [Music] Okay. and um [Music] guys.
