Sedge Town acts very much like the towns trainers come upon in the Pokemon games, featuring gift shops, special stage shows, and of course, rides.
The Pokemon Forest, however, is a different story. Players will remember traversing all across regions in the games catching Pokemon and battling other trainers, crossing rivers and wading through tall grass rife with wild ‘mon.’

In keeping with this aspect of the games, the Pokemon Forest tasks attendees with walking a 1,640 foot-long nature trail, complete with grassy sections, changes in elevation levels, and even tunnels.

Because of this, PokePark Kanto’s ticket policy states that hopeful trainers must have the ability to climb up 110 steps without assistance. Those who can’t won’t be able to go into the woods. Children under five are also barred from entry to this area, as well as any kids who can’t make the climb, even if they’re accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Pokemon CompanyYep, you read that right – attendees will only be able to enter the Pokemon Forest if they can climb 110 steps.
Luckily, there are several different ticket types for PokePark Kanto, which are tacked on to the overall cost of admission for Yomiuriland. One of these types is a lower price, but only allows visitors into Sedge Town, rather than the additional Pokemon Forest experience.
