The Barça Legends will not be playing the match that had been scheduled for 22 November in Tokyo against Real Madrid Leyendas at the Saitama Stadium, for reasons beyond the club’s control. The Barça Legends would like to thank the Japanese fans who support Barça in the country for their constant loyalty, something clearly demonstrated last year when the Legends visited Tokyo and filled the Ajinomoto Stadium with more than 45,000 spectators to watch the 2-1 victory over Real Madrid Leyendas.
This season, Barça have played three matches, all of which have ended in victory for the team coached by Albert Ferrer. On 31 August they travelled to Monterrey (Mexico), where they beat Tigres Leyendas 3-2 with a hat-trick from David Villa. The second match was in Abuja (Nigeria), where they faced an African select XI and won 3-1. The most recent game was on 8 November in San Salvador (El Salvador) against Real Madrid Leyendas, with the blaugranes winning 2–0 thanks to a brace from Javier Saviola.
