60 Days in Japan | Nagasaki | Travel Vlog | EP. 35

completely non smoking. Please refrain from smoking anywhere on the train. Now this is a proper cabin. The reserve seat car. [Music] I have hours left in Japan. Although my trip didn’t go as planned, every leg was a unique experience. But three legs of this trip were more than I’d planned for. Fukushima, Hiroshima, and now Nagasaki. Mother nature is responsible for one. The others are the result of caveman arithmetic as foreign policy. One’s total net gain to another’s total net loss. This is the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum. [Music] A brief walk around and you’ll quickly realize there are no victors in nuclear war. Only the carnage left of innocent civilians. [Music] There are nearly 12,000 active nuclear weapons on standby every day. One is too many. 72 hours after Hiroshima was leveled, Nagasaki became the second atrocity of mankind. 25% more powerful than Hiroshima’s explosion. Very little remained. This is the hypocenter senotapath. A simple black monolith marking the hypo center of the atomic blast. [Music] [Music] 4 billion years of evolution is not ownership. None of this belongs to us. No matter the political ideology, nuclear free collective security needs to be the cardinal foundation of international law. We can only hope future leaders embrace humanism. We can do better. [Music]

My last two days in Japan. Today I visited the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and the Nagasaki Peace Park. Great experiences. Travel is education! And thank you Candeo Hotel in Nagasaki Chinatown. Last minute reservations with first class service! ありがとうございます!
