Zara has opened its new flagship store in Osaka’s Shinsaibashi district, introducing Japan’s first Zacaffe, a cafe concept the brand says is designed to create a cultural connection with each city.
Spanning 1900sqm, the four-storey store incorporates elements that reference traditional Japanese architecture, including tatami, adobe and noren. These are paired with hammered black metal and steel finishes to blend historic influences with contemporary design.
The flagship also features product display zones and dedicated “boutique” spaces using customised furniture and layouts to highlight specific collections.
Zara Shinsaibashi also includes areas for brand-specific lines as well as an expanded selection of footwear and accessories.
“The entire space is thoughtfully designed to offer a welcoming and immersive shopping experience, seamlessly integrating both women’s and kids’ collections,” the company said.
