◇ Provisional contract with Orix second-round development player, Matthew Shapiro

Orix has signed a provisional contract with Ichiro Shapiro Matthew pitcher, a second-round pick in the developmental draft by the Toyama GRN Thunderbirds. 22 years old, 193 cm tall and 105 kg, he is a big right hander.

I will practice hard every day to return the favor to the people who have supported me so far, aiming to be registered as a managerial player as soon as possible. I will not stay small in the pros, but become a player with a big scale and do my best to be an asset to Orix!”

◇ Four players sent to the Orix Japan Winter League

Orix will send four players, pitcher Hiroto Suga pitcher Kento Inui, Tomoki Imasaka, and Seiichi Teramoto, to the Japan Winter League Advance 2025, which will be held in Okinawa Prefecture. The tournament will run from Saturday, November 22nd to Thursday, December 18th, and the team being sent will be the “Eisa” team.

The JWL Advance 2025 will be held at Koza Shinkin Stadium in Okinawa City, and in addition to Orix, six players from The Giants and two from the Tokyo Yakult have been announced as participants. Saitama Seibu and Chiba Lotte are also planning to send players, and players from Taiwan’s professional baseball teams and amateur baseball teams will also participate.
