IS TOKYO WORTH THE HYPE? ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต JAPAN TRAVEL 2025

[Music] [Music] [Music] Hello everyone once again from Tokyo. In this video, we’re going to be exploring many new places that we’ve never visited before. And right now, we’re in an area called Oda. We just arrived here on a train like that. Check that futuristic looking building. So, a lot of the big businesses seem to be around here. Aqua City. This building is Fuji television. Looks like something out of Star Wars with the circular thing over there. And there is also the Statue of Liberty in front of us. That’s pretty random. Didn’t expect to see that in Tokyo. I don’t know if it’s cuz this part looks a bit like New York. I think there’s a big river there. We’ve never been, so not sure. [Music] [Music] So the main reason that we came here to Oda is cuz it’s very close to Team Lab which is an art exhibition, an interactive one. And we had to actually book it 2 months in advance cuz it sells out really quickly. 5,200 yen per person. And you can book that on Cluke. So we’ll link that in the description below. So to get there, we just have to jump back on that train that’s passing by right now. And there’s a station very close to it. [Music] So, we’ve entered Team Lab. Now, there’s different parts. I think there’s one called Forest Water. Right now, we’re entering one called water where you have to go barefoot. So, you just put your trainers in these lockers and then I think there’s actually going to be water on the ground. Yeah, I think so. Yeah, we’ll find out soon. [Music] It’s confusing. Yeah, it’s like I feel like I’m going to just hit something. Yeah, cuz all these mirrors they wa [Music] It’s almost hard to see where the path is. Wa. Very trippy. Yeah. What the hell? Even the ground, too. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Carol, this is already the best like art exhibition we’ve ever been to. Yeah. It’s not like exhibition. It’s just like a immersive thing. So, it’s totally different from everything that we’ve done in the past. Yeah. I mean, just look at this. It’s crazy. Great to bring kids, too. They’re all loving it. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Now we’ve all got to sit down. I don’t even know what’s going on in this one. Maybe we’re in the forest section now. You think this is the forest section? It’s called plants. Maybe. I don’t know. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Yeah, this place is absolutely unreal. Never seen anything like it. So, now we’re in the forest section. All the scenes before were in the water section. And there’s two more. I think there’s a garden and air section, too. So much to see. I think this is what it feels like to be on mushrooms. Yeah. See, it’s like a psychedelic looking forest. All the animals are these crazy colors. [Music] Waterfall looks nice. [Music] [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] We’ve now come to the outskirts of Tokyo. Going to show a different side of Tokyo that’s not shown very often on YouTube. I don’t think any foreigners really come to this part. So, it’s called Mount Taco. Going to do some hiking. You can already see it’s all nice and green. Got some streams, little rivers around here. And I think the hike is that way. So this station is Taco Sananguchi. Took about an hour from Shinjuku to get here. Just shows how big Tokyo is cuz an hour on the train and we’re still in Tokyo. The buildings already look really nice around here. The train was basically empty at the end. I think there’s only locals that come here to do some hiking. Be a nice quiet place to live in Tokyo. We’re basically right at the limits of Tokyo though on the other side of Mount Dao is another place. We just stopped for some coffees before we start the trail. This place coffee and craft beer. It’s really nice the village at the bottom. When we searched the photos of Taka, it only really showed the forest and the trails. We didn’t know there was this nice village. Looks like a pretty good place to stay even. And we also got some chocolate sconce. So, all this was 1,900. Good. Hot the Japanese always put an O on the end. Hot. Yeah, it’s really cute. We Brazilians, we put a E or an I like McDonald G. Yeah. Edi, but the Japanese they do with the O time. Yeah. Yeah. We’ve heard them say like stopo for stop. Cardo for card. Yeah. Hot door. Heat. [Music] Hey, heat. Hey, heat. [Music] So, there’s multiple different trails that you can do. We’re going to go up doing trail six and then come down doing trail one. I think trail one is the most popular one. And then some people even get the little train and a cable car up there. The train just passed by over there. the line. I think even if you do that, you still have to walk though. How long did it say this trail was? 90 minutes. It said that it’s 3.3 kilometers. So, we’ll see. Maybe we’ll do it faster or maybe we’ll do it slower. Yeah, we’re going to take it easy. We’re not walking super fast. Yeah. So, this map shows all the trails. That’s the one we’re doing. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] All right, we made it to the top. Took around an hour. It was easy for the most part. Just at the end, all the stairs. Yeah, a bunch of steps at the very end. Other than that, it was pretty easy. It was not like a very steep in the beginning, so it was okay. We could have done it faster, but I just didn’t want to make my shoes get wet because at some point we were like inside the river, basically. There’s even a restaurant here at the top. Bit of a queue. I think we’re going to try and eat at one on the way down halfway. And there we go. Oh, we got Mount Fuji once again in the background. Yeah, it’s not as impressive as the other day, but yeah, it’s still really nice. Yeah, we’re further away compared to where we were in Hakon. [Music] Got a temple on the way down. Takaan Fo. Probably said that wrong. Oh, it’s an old one. 1624 and 1644. Didn’t realize it would be that old. And just below that one, there’s another building. Definitely can’t say that name. 1729. [Music] Really nice one. It’s a cool statue. Like a angel. The TV crew here. We’re not the only ones filming. TV crew on this side, too. Yeah, this one looks a bit different. Brown wooden style. [Music] So, we’re just trying to find a place to eat now. I think it’s supposed to be in this building from what Google Maps says. Looks like a temple, too. Don’t see anyone around here though, so don’t know if it’s going to be open. Benu Cave. Don’t think the restaurant’s in here. Found a cave by accident. Yeah, it’s a legit cave. Look at this. Really nice around here though. Whatever it is, nobody around at all. Yeah, a guy came and said that it’s closed. In the reviews, there were foreigners saying that they ate there though, so yeah, not sure. I think it’s some sort of monastery. Going to head back to the the main town then, village, and eat there. [Music] Yeah. So, we ended up finding a cool ramen place still on the trail on the way back down. So, we didn’t have to go back to the the village. Pretty nice view, too. The city down there. So, all this was 4,400. Got some fried chicken. Don’t remember the name of the ramen. This was a large bowl. That’s that one. Yeah. Yeah. Whatever that says. 1,600 for the large. And it’s really large. Like if I knew I would have gotten the the smaller one. Smaller one. Don’t know what this is. Some gooey thing. What is that? Look at that go. Oh yeah. Like it’s like cheese. I don’t know. Maybe it’s yum. Yum. Yeah. I wonder how they made it like that. Like cheesy yam. Yeah. How do you call the like smashed? Mashed. Mashed and smashed. I always like these seaweed things. Carol doesn’t like it, so she gave me hers. So, we’re cheating on the way down. We’re not walking. We’re getting in the cable car thingy, whatever this is. It’s like a ski lift. Yeah. But it’s quite scary, at least for me, cuz there is no protection whatsoever. So, it’s like if I fall, I just I’m going to hurt myself really bad. Yes. I think you could come all the way up this way, too, up till the the temples. And after this, we’re just going to make our way back to the center of Tokyo once again. Film some more at night. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Music] So now we’ve come to Shibuya, a place that we visited once. last year and we come here cuz we’re going to the Shibuya sky which is a building. I think it’s about a 5minute walk here from the central station. Absolute chaos here. It’s jam-packed. And this is the Shibuya crossing which apparently is the busiest pedestrian crossing in the world. We came here during the day. We’ve never seen it at night. Definitely looking like the busiest in the world. I think it’s even busier than the last time we came. Maybe people leaving work. Yeah, now it’s the time where people leave work and there’s many tourists out as well. It’s rush hour. Yeah, it’s peak time. And we’re meeting our friends. They’re in the Starbucks over there. I think they got a good seat. So, this is a big commercial center in Tokyo, which is why it’s so busy. So, so many workers. I always like Tokyo at night, though. I actually prefer walking at night than during the day. Everything looks a bit cooler. So, to come to the part with the Shibuya crossing view, you have to order some food or drinks. Or drinks. Yeah. But yeah, you get a really good view. Perfect. [Music] So, we’re making our way across the chaos again. That’s the building that we’re going to up there. Shibuya Sky. Everybody taking pictures and videos like us. Yeah, like us. Tokyo can definitely feel very overwhelming though with the amount of people in some of the places that you visit. I think there’s 37 million people living in Tokyo. Some sites said it’s the busiest city in the world. Another one said it’s another place in China. So, I don’t know. But it’s definitely one of the busiest, that’s for sure. [Music] So, the ticket costs 3,400 per person. You have to book in advance, though. The tickets are completely sold out if you arrive on the day. So, the crossing is right there. Super dirty these these windows. People have been putting their hands. Yeah, the views are really awesome. Now, I’m actually preferring the views here more than the sky tree that we went to. Wonder which tower that is over there. [Music] break [Music] 3. [Music] 1 2 3 [Music] [Music] So, that’s going to be it for this video. really enjoyed all the new things, the new places that we got to visit. And the highlight was definitely Team Labs though, I think. Never seen anything like that before. And Carol and our friends also went to the Warner Brothers Studio. They have a thing called the making of Harry Potter. I didn’t go cuz I was busy. I had work to do. And I’ve also only seen one of the Harry Potter films, so I’m not like a major fan. That was 7,000 yen per person. And it’s really big. I think they were there for around 4 hours, 3 4 hours. So, there’s a lot to see. You can see like the film sets. There’s the characters. Could also pay to dress up as a wizard. And it’s very interactive just like Team Labs. And the best part was our friend Kyle got to audition for the part of Harry Potter in the upcoming movie. [Applause] Heat. Heat. Yeah. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] After seeing the trailer, I think he’s definitely going to get the part. And in the next video, we’re going to be heading to Nagono, another new place for us. Going to be checking out some onens, things like that. It’s a mountainous region, so it should be really cool.
