Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters official cheer team, The Fighters Girls, has announced that they will be holding auditions for new members for 2026. They will not only liven up the stadium and cheer on The Fighters through their performances, but will also visit various parts of Hokkaido, aiming to act as a bridge between the Fighters and The Fighters and the local community. Applications are open until Monday, November 24, 2025.
The Fighters Girls are an essential presence at The Fighters home games, and the achievements of each member continue to attract attention. But what kind of talent are they looking for as new members for 2026? We spoke to Hamano Arisa of The Fighters Sports & Entertainment Production Group, who is in charge of operations.

The Fighters Girls were formed in 2004 when the team was founded in Hokkaido. They perform dance performances at the stadium, guide stadium tours, promote the team in various media, and act as dance academy instructors. They also actively visit kindergartens and nurseries across Hokkaido and participate in events, acting as a bridge connecting fans and the local community with The Fighters.
When asked about The Fighters Girl’s activities in 2025,
“2025 was a year in which the team gained momentum and The Fighters Girls were able to steadily grow while taking on various new challenges,” said Hamano.
“Some of the new initiatives we have taken on include the ‘inning Dance Project,’ in which the members themselves create the music and choreography for the dance performances they perform between inning; the ‘Efutan Train Parade,’ in which they paraded down the concourse of ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO while dancing as the ‘Efutan Train,’ a three-car train measuring approximately 8 meters in length; and the ‘The Fighters Girl Stage,’ which was held near the entrance gate immediately after the stadium opened on day games, so that fans could feel closer to The Fighters Girls,” he recalled.

The audition for new The Fighters Girl members for 2026 is currently accepting entries. Hamano said the following about the type of person they are looking for:
“I want to liven up The Fighters and Hokkaido! I’m looking for someone who is energetic and fun in any activity, and who can work honestly and with all their might,” she said, and when asked what mindset she would like them to value most when working as The Fighters Girl, she listed “humanity” as the most important thing, continuing:
“Performance is of course important, but The Fighters Girls are a team that works together and has many opportunities to interact closely with fans. Therefore, we want them to have a mindset that values high humanity, such as the ability to see things from the other person’s perspective, never forgetting to be grateful, and having a sense of responsibility,” she explained.

[Eligibility]
・Women aged 18 or older (as of April 2, 2026)
*High school students are not eligible (those expected to graduate from high school in March 2026 are eligible)
*Students are welcome (however, priority is given to those who can work 87 hours or more per month)
・Those who can participate in all activities, including regular season games, stadium tours, and events during Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters 2026 season.
・Those who can prioritize The Fighters Girl activities
・Those who can participate in lessons and rehearsals (scheduled to be twice a week) from January to March 2026, as well as regular lessons during the season
・Those who can work in Hokkaido
・People who want to support Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters

The time and venue will be notified by email to those who pass the first round of screening.
