An increasingly competitive landscape

With Japan and Slovakia joining, the Para ice hockey lineup for Milano Cortina 2026 is now complete. In addition to the two new qualifiers, the United States, Canada, Czechia, China, Germany, and host Italy will compete for the title. Korea will not participate in the Games for the first time since 2006. The tournament will be held at the Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena, in the heart of the city, and will be one of the most anticipated events of the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games, which will feature six disciplines: Para Alpine Skiing, Para Biathlon, Para Cross-Country Skiing, Para ice hockey, Para Snowboard, and Wheelchair Curling.
