Fall in Kawaguchiko πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ | BEST Mt. Fuji Photo Spots You Can’t Miss πŸπŸ“Έ

So, it’s December 4th and N and I have two full days here in Kawagucho. We’ve booked a beautiful Rioon with the private onsen and today’s itinerary is packed. We’re visiting the Torito Pagota, the Mount Fuji ropeway, Oishi Park, and the Maple Leaf Corridor where the fall colors are at their peak. Come along as I show you the perfect first full day here. We’re heading to Kawaguchiko from Shinjuku. So, I booked an early morning direct bus to give us plenty of time to explore once we arrived. The ride took about 2 hours and dropped us off right at Kawagucho station. So, our first stop is to go to Torito Pagota. This place gets really busy after 10:00 a.m. So, I wanted to do this first. N and I took a taxi because the bus was just a 30-minute wait and we were like, “No, we got to go.” For the treat, there are a lot of steps to walk up. So, keep that in mind, but it will be worth it once you get up there. The stairmaster is killing us. We got this, babe. This is going to be the hardest time of the day. When you finally conquer the stairmaster, you’re welcomed by the breathtaking unobstructed view of the Mount Fuji behind you. The vibrant fall foliage makes the scene even more stunning. And since it’s December, the mountain is topped with its iconic snow cap. A short walk ahead, you’ll come across the famous pagota. And if you’re up for it, you can climb up to the viewing platform for the ultimate view of Mount Fuji framed perfectly with the pagota. Look at this view. This view is so gorgeous. Yeah. We climbed to the top of this pagota observation deck. Super pretty. Yeah, this background is amazing. It looks like a Google image photo. In fact, I’m going to take one on my DJI. [Music] So, we’re done with the Torito Pagota and now we are taking the Fuji Yoshida bus to go to the Mount Fuji panoramic ropeway. It’s a really popular ropeway to do. It’s like takes you up to the very top to see another great view of Mount Fuji. [Music] Right next to the Mount Fuji panoramic ropeway is Lake Kawagucho. It looks like there are boat rentals if you’re in the mood for something more relaxing. However, N and I didn’t have time for that. So, we just admired the view before heading to our next destination. We finally made it to the Mount Fuji Panoramic Rope, which again is another amazing spot to take in the views of the mountain. Try to get here a little early, though, because as you can see, the line can get very long. A roundtrip ride costs about 1,000 yen. And once you reach to the top, you’ll find food options and fun activities to enjoy to soak in the scenery. [Music] We’re at the top of the Mount Fuji panoramic ropeway now. A very short gondola trip up, but me and I are going to walk around, look for that scenic swing that some people take a photo by. We found the panoramic swing at the top of the panoramic ropeway. It cost 500 yen per person, and you only get to swing for one song. Overall, the experience was just okay. Next, we decided to grab a few snacks. We tried the grape soft serve and the curry pond, and both were so good. M. It’s very refreshing. I like this a lot. Tastes like the ice cream bars. M. I got the half and half. The vanilla is very uh subtle flavor. The grape overpowers it. A can’t really taste it. At the top, there’s one last observation deck you can check out and it offers a stunning top of the world view of Kawagucho and Mount Fuji. After that, we took the Kawaguchi Go bus to get to the Oishi Park, another popular place to view Mount Fuji. Unfortunately, since it was already the afternoon, the mountain was backlit and harder to see, but the park was still a beautiful place to unwind after a long morning of sightseeing. There’s also a marketplace to buy fresh fruit and a cafe to grab lunch. So, me and I are um getting lunch right now. There’s a cafe on the second floor of the Oishi Park cafe and there is a lot of Fuji like style food here. I got the red Fujian curry shaped like a Fujian and then Ni got the beef short with rice. Looks good. And it smells good too. Look at how red this is. All I taste is spice. It’s very spicy. The grilled meat was delicious. It had a sweet soy flavor that went perfectly with the rice. We then tried the fruit we bought from the marketplace downstairs. We were especially excited to try these because last year we had supermarket grapes that were unbelievably sweet. Mhm. This time the strawberries even had a sign saying you’ll melt when you taste these. They’re that sweet. So, of course, we had to try them. We ended up getting the Shine Muscat grapes for 2,000 yen and the strawberries for 1,000 yen. Sadly though, neither lived up to the hype. Also, we had last year, the grapes taste like candy, but this one tastes like a grape. California. It’s not bad, but it’s not amazing. For dessert, we got Crema, my favorite ice cream chain from Japan. So, we got Crema. This is my one of my favorite ice cream places because it’s so creamy and so good. How’s the chocolate? Very chocolatey. Not as cheesy as the original, so I like this one. M. Yeah. Compared to the chocolate, mine is very noticeably more cheesy. N is like very decadent and chocolatey. They’re good for different reasons, but if you don’t like the cheesy flavor, I suggest getting the chocolate one. On our way back to the Rioon, we made a quick detour to the Mumiji corridor, an area that, in my opinion, has the most stunning fall foliage in all of Kamaguchi and one of the best spots for photos and videos. The trees were glowing in every shade from dark red to golden yellow to bright orange. Coming from California, we don’t usually get to experience these fall colors, and the Japanese maple leaves are smaller and even cuter than what I’m used to seeing. Just strolling through here filled me up with so much happiness. It was the perfect peaceful way to wrap up a day of sightseeing. [Music] I am a big fan of this type of fall foliage. I’ve always loved seeing the autumn colors just because I am not used to seeing this type of like colors in LA. We don’t see this type of stuff. So seeing this here, gorgeous. Definitely check this out if you’re in Kawagucho. If you’re lucky, you could see the Mount Fuji at the end of this like corridor. It’s by the lake. Such a beautiful place just to walk by. It’s nearby a lot of the hotels or rioons that you can stay at. So give this a try. Check it out. And we are heading to Besso Sasa now. Our shell just picked us up. So finally. [Music] Hey there. Thanks for reaching the end of my video. For more related content, check out this next one. If you really like what you’re seeing, please like and subscribe. I post every 2 to 4 weeks. And thanks again for watching. Bye. [Music]
