EPIC Universe Full Day | Universal Orlando Resort | Sep 2025 Orlando Vlog Part 3

Good morning everyone. This is our fifth day here but third vlog because the first two days have kind of mashed together because it was just Universal and Islands. We’ve moved from Lowe’s Royal Pacific yesterday which was a lovely two night stay and it was very very very convenient with the express pass. Uh today we’ve we’re now on iDrive at the Hayatt Hayatt Convention Hayatt Place International Drive that one. We’re here for two nights. We’re here because we’re using points to try to keep the cost of the whole holiday down because if you know Orlando, you know it’s expensive. So, I just quickly show you the room. Really, really quick spin area, washing, etc. It’s a twin room. So, we’ve got the dubé beds and seating area and like a little kitchenet and uh desk area. So today it is a guess the park day. I think it’s a bit obvious. There we go. Epic. Epic universe. We have our fast passes which I picked up yesterday cuz we’re not annual pass holders or anything. Our 14-day ticket for this year only allows one day in Epic from next year. I think it’s just your tickets included in your normal 14-day pass. Because we’ve only got the one day. We got express pass. The advice is don’t wait until the day if you’re going this year in 2025. Don’t wait until you’re in Epic to pick it up. Pick it up at Universal or Islands of Adventure at the Express Pass um for the day you’re going. It saves a lot of time. From what I’ve heard, there’s not many desks at Epic and everyone does the same thing and try to do it on the day. That is my advice for you. Park opens at 10:00. It’s currently 9:00 and it closes at 10:00. So, it’s a it’s quite a late opening but late closing park which uh we’re happy with because it gives us a leisurely morning. We should have plenty of time to do everything. All rides are now included on the express pass. Uh they’ve been slowly adding it I think where they realized the numbers the the attending numbers have not been as high as they thought it would have been. Um so now everything’s included on the express pass except Stardust Racers that is still closed from the incident several days ago. You probably know what it is by the time this video comes out. It might be reopened, but there’s no, as of now, there is no immediate plan to reopen it. Anyway, we’re going to go and get a lift. It’s about 20 minutes. Well, not even that to be fair. That’s Disney. I was looking at 10 minutes from here. We’re going to go down. Get ready. Just go and join the line in Epic. Oh, spared no expense. Just like Epic. I know there’s no Jurassic Park, but I’ve not worn this one yet. Epic. Yes. Woo. And we are in beyond this gate and gardens green and epic worlds to fill your dreams. [Music] So if you don’t know, you enter epic universe through this chronosphere and each of the lands you you come into celestial park which is just the center. And each land that comes off, you have to go through a separate portal to enter the land. [Music] So all of this central area is Celestial Park. There’s a few riding attractions here, but generally it’s very pretty area. And at the end you have Helios Grand Hotel, which is the deluxe hotel attached to the park. As you can get an idea, we got Super Mario. There’s a Super Nintendo there. You can just see the top of the um portal. I think we’re going to beline for Potter. One of the roller co attraction roller coaster which is part of Celestial Park is just here you can see the tracks the yellow tracks. This is the first portal we go past for uh of Burke. How to train your dragon. We my friends have dragons. [Music] And that’s what the entrance to each land is like. uh portal that takes you through, transports you to a whole new Oh, no. Wrong, wrong IP. Sorry. IP. Wrong IP. [Music] And so we enter Potter Portal. For in dreams we enter a world that is entirely our own. [Music] following Gary and Mad [Music] [Applause] teasing in you. Okay, Gary. Yeah, the Potter head of the group. The French Ministry. I can tell how it’s your silence that I know makes you Well, I know you’re so excited. Yeah, just take it all in, mate. Yeah, just take it all in. Wow, that is ridiculous. That is a Wow. Oh my goosebumps. Look at the goosebumps, [Music] man. The angles in here are insane. Hey, [Music] [Applause] [Music] this is insane. This isn’t a theme park. This is Paris. This is insane. [Music] This blows everything. I feel emotional. [Music] Oh my goodness. [Music] Oh man, this is this is crazy. [Music] Cannot get over this. [Music] Well, immediately we only walking around for like 15 minutes. How anything is going to top this? I don’t know. All right. So, we are now uh going to go straight onto Battle of Ministry. Use our express pass for it now. Get it done. Get it dusted. Honestly, I don’t really know what to say. Absolutely bonkers. Let’s [Music] go. Thank you. In we go. Woo. [Music] everything. Oh my. Oh my god. No way. [Music] Heat. Heat. Access to the base is restricted to personel. [Music] [Music] Welcome to the Ministry of Magic. My name is I’ll summarize that ride in a minute. Uh very very strictly no photography on it. But what’s cool is when you come out, it puts you back into the uh queue system. So if you missed it when you were walking in, you can come and take some photoselcome when it’s really quiet. As we begin to move beyond the recent past and focus on the future of the wising world, we must also remember the lessons we taught. Lessons from our friends and appreciation and lessons to work together to defeat those who divide us. We are all connected and it is at our peril if we fail in this. I am honored to be your minister. I look forward to serving you all. That was okay. Amazing. What did you think of a ministry? Oh, really well themed. Super good. The queuing is ridiculous. So good. Gary really enjoyed it. He’s a big quad fan. Um that was that was insane. And it’s hard to quite grasp how much stuff’s behind that because the queuing system is huge. They basically rebuilt the Ministry. Absolutely insane. That’s going to be hard to beat. Going to continue looking around. I think there’s a show in there in half an hour, so we might go and watch that. But the express passes definitely made uh queuing easy. It took 15 minutes to get on that from a 60 70 minute line. So, we’ve definitely got plenty of time to chill on our one day here and take it all in. So, as well as the ride, there is a live show uh in in Potter World. [Music] Okay, so that we are in the I forgot the name of the place we’re in now. Cauldron Noir. Goblin Noir. Goblin Noir. Having a beverage. Very, very nicely themed in here. Again, the show was good. It was short. It was uh I think you spent just as long waiting for the show as the show itself. [Music] That’s a positive or negative depending on you. It was a kind of puppetry kind of ar acrobatic acrobatic um type show. It was good. Puppets were good. Good opportunity to sit in airon. Um my favorite puppet was actually the curtain clothes which makes sense when you see it. And again, no filming inside. Anywhere there’s no filming, I’m not going to push my luck. I don’t want to get kicked out on the one they’ve got. So, we’re out of Harry Potter. I love the music here. Uh, got the Helios Hotel there. We might look in that later, but got time. So, we’re back in Celestial Park, the kind of nonland area or non-portal area. No, it’s a portal. What am I saying? [Music] And this part feels so different to to the other ones. Quite speechless. It’s amazing. Absolutely amazing. Right, Dark Universe next. And now it’s on to Dark Universe. It’s alive. It’s alive. and through the portal to Dark Universe. We’ve been all very excited for this one as well. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. [Music] This would be a good Halloween horror night. [Music] Dark Hall. This is also one we’re going to come back to at night cuz the park is open till 10:00. So, you get plenty of nighttime. Oh, wow. They’ve really gone all out with this. [Music] It’s one of the gift shops in Dark Universe. It’s cool. Oh, that’s cool. Can you buy it? No. That’s a shame. Take my money. Right. So, we’re going on uh Monsters Unchained. We’re not going to use our express pass because it’s only 15 minutes. So, we’re going to save that for later on. Uh maybe when it’s night time. We don’t mind the 15-minute wait. We can cope with that one. That’s so cool, though. Can’t wait to see this at night already. Yeah. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Is that what you Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Today, you chosen few will witness my greatest discovery yet. Together, we will finish what my great grandfather [Music] in that steakhouse. I’ve got a dash steak which comes with green onion mash and carrots and a vegetable of sorts. I also went for the mocktail drink. M’s gone for the chicken burger sand bun and Gary has gone for the salmon which also has the same sides as mine. And the two boys with the alcoholic beverages. Gary’s got the special ones cuz each land seems to have a beer one or two specific to the land. And that was a cinnamony nutmegy beer. Yes, cinnamon nutmeg beer. Which is we both said different but not bad. My mocktail is very nice and sweet. The restaurant we just ate eight had was okay out of five. We weren’t thrilled by it. Gary liked his salmon. I personally couldn’t knock it. Harry couldn’t knock it. So, he said he would have it together. Matt and I said we wouldn’t. It was not the best steak I have had in a long shot. And Matthew’s chicken was he said a bit was very smells here. There’s a funny smell everywhere. Thought it was me, but it’s not. The air smells smells goopy. So nice to go in there. Nice to try it with you. Wouldn’t have the meals we had again. So Dark Universe done. What I do like is that it seems the main restaurant in each land, we’ve only done two obviously so far, is a kind of self-service. Sit down, you find a table, scan the QR code, order your food. You don’t have a anyone waiting on you per se. You just order and then they then they bring it to you. That makes it a bit a bit easier. But that is Dark Universe and now Super Mario. So, making our way back down the park. Um, so you got Potter over there. Helios and Dark Universe. We’re just behind this Starbucks. So, anything outside, as I said before, is the uh Celestial Park. Uh one of the rides of Celestial Park is the Constellation Carousel there. You can just see the top of the Kronos over there, which is the entrance to the park. We’re just saying there are absolutely you’re not going to go hungry here. There are so many places to eat. And the next one we have now is Super Mario World. Here we go. Let’s get into this land. We go up through a [Music] Data. [Music] Wow, that’s an overload. [Applause] Another one. I’m just speechless. I don’t know what to say. Absolutely. Just keep knocking me. Oh. Oh, wow. Just absolutely outdone themselves. Try not to get copyrighted. So, the first half of this land is the Mario and then you go, I think down through there to Donkey U. Yeah, Donkey Kong specific. This Yoshi’s one is a bit of a kitty ride, but it’s still a hour plus way. Absolutely bonkers. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] That last challenge so far. [Music] [Music] So, first one we’re going to try is Mario Kart Bowser’s Challenge. I imagine it’s another non-recording one. So, we’ll let you know our thoughts at the end. If you ever want to watch a recording of these rides, I’m sure someone on YouTube’s done it. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Wow. So, this is Donkey Kong Land. This is like I think this is the only portal I think that has kind of like a land within a land. You have to go through another portal behind us there to come through. And that’s what we’re here for. Minecart madness. I’m not exaggerating when I say I can’t get over this place, this whole park. And an express pass for today’s Saturday. An express pass definitely gets you on everything with well within time. is coming up to half three. Only got one more land after this. [Music] The last one in Mario Super Mario World, Super Nintendo World, sorry, is Yoshi’s Adventure, which is the Kitty’s one to finish nicely. So, the Yoshi one, as I said, is a kitty one. A space for two. I’m on my own. Gary and uh Matt are in front of me. Oh, there they are. Hold on. Nice and slow. Slowly burn. There are things down here. I’m not sure what these do yet. [Music] They do something. I think you press the color correlating. It does light up, but you can’t see in the sun. Oh, yeah. There it is. Please remain seated. Your Yoshi has stopped momentarily and could resume motion at any time. Again, please remain seated and supervise children keeping your hands and feet inside your Yoshi at all times. Thank you. [Music] So, quick summary of the three rides in Super Nintendo World. Yoshi was very easygoing, slow, familyfriendly, although you’re outside quite a lot. Uh, Mario Kart was a really good idea. I just don’t think it quite landed right. I really wanted to see the lands you were driving through and you couldn’t because of the visor. And there was times the light was reflecting on the back of it and just couldn’t see what you were supposed to be looking at. Okay, I’ll be back. And minecart madness. Really good fun. I mean, everything has obviously been ridiculously well. Very rickety, which I’m guessing it’s supposed to be. So, it’s very It is a authentic barrel ride as barrel rides go. No, really good fun and nice to have three rides in it and nice to have a land within a land. I wonder if that’s what they’re going to be doing. Kind of like a like a tease of how they’re going to plan these lands out. But we are back outside back into Celestial Park and we are going to slowly make our way over to Dragons. But I think we’re going to have a beverage first because it’s now the heat of the day and we are looking for a beer. They just suggested that we go to aisle of Burke and visit the mead hall. That’s exactly what we need. Looking for I think that’s a totally good idea. Spliffy. Spliffy. Do we have a three-way hazard? Yes. Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah! As we’re crossing from uh Super Mario World over to How to Train Your Dragon. We’re just gone via the main shops at the front of the park. It’s a good time to go. There’s no one in here. No crowds at all. I’m assuming at the end of the day, it’ll be Mannequin here. It’s also a very nice shop. [Music] And the last one is how to train your dragon arber. There are also side entrances so you don’t have to go through this one as that would be a bit of a uh what’s the word I’m looking for? Bottleneck. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Now, I think I’m like a lot of people, particularly in the UK, when they say they don’t realize how big How to Train Your Dragons is as a franchise. Not to diminish a film. absolutely love it. But to build a land after it, I was uh [Music] a little confused by it. I won’t lie. But I’ve lost everyone. Oh, hang on. I’m just realized I’m walking through with everyone’s photo. Just don’t make eye contact. Hello. That’s very cool. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] We are heading to the meat hall for a cooling beverage cuz we think in here. [Music] I hate to overuse the term, but this is also very epic. Yeah, it is. It’s really is my I think it’s my favorite to walk into. Yeah. [Applause] Yeah. Just realized it didn’t actually show that we have got drinks in here. Um, but that’s it. [Applause] All right. So, the first we’ve had uh our me hall and we’re now going on pickups wing collider. Definitely no chance of recording this one. [Music] 40-minute wait, but express pass for us. So, the two things we’ve done in uh Isle of Berg, the wing gliders was very good. We all really enjoyed that roller roll roller coaster. Very easy, very smooth, very fun. And then we just watched how to uh the Untrainable Dragon, which was personally the best show uh I’ve seen in Universal. Maybe on par with the Born Dantacular, but very very good. And uh for the sake of um decency, if you need to have a conversation, just wait till the show’s over. Sadly, we were surrounded by people who are just having full-blown conversation. So, uh if you’re thinking of doing that, just wait, please. Thank you. So before we leave, I’m having a snack of a garlic bread cone filled with mac and cheese with spicy I think Sriracha chicken or something and crispy onions. And Gary went for the equivalent with peanut butter. Uh pulled pork. Pulled pork. Sorry. Bacon jam and yeah, peanut bacon jam. Yeah. There we go. Very tasty. I assume I’ve not eaten it. Carrie has. Tasty. Very very very very tasty very. So next on the list is Dragon Racers which look like individual seats. [Music] Scrap that. There’s no express lane, so we’re going to come back later for that. So, I think that might be it for Burke. We’ll come back later, but I think we’re going to pop to maybe Paris or something. We’re essentially making our way to Dark Universe for nighttime. So, as the sun sets, the park is absolutely transforming again. So, now we’re having to go around all the lands to see it at night. It’s clearly another spectacle on its own. It kind of, if I had to, it kind of feels small, but I know it’s not. [Music] I think the expansions will be a lovely addition when they start them. Having said that, if I didn’t have an express pass, it probably would have been a lot more rushed or had I been able to come back more than once on my ticket. Darkmore in the distance there is the one we are excited to see at night. I just know that’s going to be incredible. Having said that, I can see Bowsers popping up there and that looks cool. We said we wouldn’t go there after dark cuz it didn’t seem like it would just be well more of an overload of a light, but now I’m looking at it and I was saying this, it reminds me very much of Disney. The way they got the curves and the lights on all the buildings. It’s kind of very uh Main Streetesque. I mean, you know, if it works, it works. Take it. Do it. So, I just left Olberg. We’re heading to Paris to see Paris at night. Maybe have a uh cooling virage. Still can’t stop saying how amazing this land is. This park even. You see how the portals have completely changed at night now? actually seeing them. [Music] I’m going to go left this time cuz I went right before. Oh, it’s a mass exodus of people then. So, how does Paris look at nights? still ridiculously incredible. Honestly, I cannot get over this. [Music] So, we’re back here. Gary wants to get a wand. And I think before I say, you can go for your wand. I’m going to certainly buy one. Yeah. Yeah. So, Gary wants to get a wand, and I think he’s going to buy his girlfriend a wand. This is just as impressive at night, plus some. Honestly, it’s like you’re in a city. It’s like not even a movie set. Just you’re there. [Music] I consider So, this end of the park, we’ve looked on a map. It smells a little bit undesirable. An undesirable number two, you might say, for the uh how close we are to some water treatment plant. [Music] So, this land and Darkmore up this end of the park seem to get the uh whiffs. Now, one could argue that’s a classic city smell when they’ve just gone fullon authenticity there, not being specific to Paris, of course. So, just have a look at this little darker area. This is where we had our lunchtime beverage in I forgotten again what it’s called. The dark goblet or something like noir. It’s okay. So sir, I look where you’re going. That’s where we had the beverage the first time. Yeah, this is 10 times better at night, especially this bit. [Music] This is bonkers. You win a world with love. I know I sound really over the top, but it’s I don’t care. It deserves my over the topness, which believe me, for me, what I’m saying, this is over the top. So you come out of this dark area and you come back into the main city. [Music] You see, you got a little square with a little cafe and back into the central area. Gary’s in that shop buying his wands. [Music] [Applause] Oh, you can see the uh proprietor of the shop inside walking around. [Music] Hello gentlemen. Come forward. Well, we took the flu powder back to uh the Ministry of Magic and we helped to um stop Dolores, you know, just a normal day. Oh, you stopped someone. Was something wrong there? Uh yeah, she was uh she she had to go to Asaban where he’s from. So, uh we we we sent her back. Oh, well, do you know Dolores, sir? Uh not uh not personally. I just made sure that she went she went to where she needed to go into Ascaladan. I see. So she was guilty then. Yes. Ah, very good. Quite impressive. Now, you weren’t at all involved in any uh any part of this trial, were you? Uh, no. No, of course not. Oh, good. I didn’t want you to be in trouble. Especially our friend in the middle here. Don’t want to send him back to Aszkabad now, do we? Oh, no. No, no, no. He’s learned his lesson. He’s learned his lesson. Yeah. Now, are you fond of the flu network? fond of it. It makes me feel a bit queasy. You know, you go very fast. You go very fast. I agree. I’ve never been rather fond of I I do find I can get a little crazy with the port key, but um the view network also does that. And you know, they’re so dirty, don’t you? Yeah. No, exactly. Got to do a good skirt of ice, though. That’s right. Yeah. Yeah. But you’ve got white shirts on there. Look like you did a good job. So, not to worry. Not to worry. No, exactly. Exactly. Not quite sure how well that’s going to come out, but it’s uh all meets up there. [Music] So, the only one we’ve not done is this roller coaster here, which we’re going to do now. We wanted to wait for it to be nighttime before going on it. Then we might do this one again. It’s only a 10-minute wait. The monsters unchained. [Music] [Music] Maybe you’re around the South. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] You like the blade burning, do you? In the black bird that mean monster out and about causing trouble. This is a secret. [Applause] I won’t say how long we were stood there waiting for that, but let’s just pretend it was 10 seconds. You may have noticed the sky got darker from beginning to end right now. Curse of that werewolf. Single rider is closed. Oh, that’s good, I guess. So, express Uh, of course, once again, cannot film on here. Far too dangerous.
