Given their popularity and large fanbase across the globe, FC Barcelona, every summer, are approached by many countries hoping to host the team during pre-season.
Several promoters contact the Catalan club informally to express their interest and to offer facilities, logistical support, and financial proposals.
The past few years have seen the Blaugrana travel to the USA for pre-season, but they switched it up this summer, opting to tour Japan and South Korea instead.
Brazil emerge as an option
Now, according to SPORT, one of the options currently on Barcelona’s table for the summer of 2026 is Brazil.
Within the club, this possibility is viewed very positively, as the country has a deep footballing culture, highly dedicated fans, and has never had the opportunity to see Barcelona train and play live. This combination makes Brazil an attractive candidate.

Nevertheless, it is not the only alternative: proposals have also arrived from other South American countries, as well as from Japan and the United States, both nations where the Blaugrana have travelled for pre-season in the recent past.
Still no decision
One key consideration for the Barcelona coaching staff and players is to minimise internal travel.
The idea is to avoid a series of domestic flights within the host country, as such constant movement can be exhausting and affect rest – a crucial factor in properly preparing for the new season.
For that reason, any travel plan must ensure that journeys are as short and comfortable as possible.
It is important to note that everything remains at a very early stage. Barcelona are currently gathering proposals, listening to offers, and assessing options, without having yet entered into formal negotiations with any promoter.
The final decision will be made later, once all factors, both financial and related to the squad’s well-being, have been evaluated.
