【FHD】JR仙石線 仙台駅にて(At Sendai Station on the JR Senseki Line)

JR仙石線は、仙台駅に乗り入れるJR線で唯一地下ホームから発着する路線です。仙台駅に乗り入れる他線が交流電化であるのに対し、仙石線は前進の宮城電気鉄道時代から直流電化路線だったことから、東北地方唯一かつJRでは日本最北の直流電化路線という特殊な地位を保っています。このため、首都圏で使われた車両が約300km離れた東北の地で第2の人生を送る風景を見ることができます。今回は、仙台駅地下ホームを発着するJR仙石線の列車を計4本撮影しました。クロスシート/ロングシートに転換可能な「2WAYシート」連結車、石巻市に縁深い漫画家である石ノ森章太郎の作品キャラクターがラッピングされた「マンガッタンライナー号」編成も映像に収めることができました。

The JR Senseki line is the only JR line using underground platform at Sendai station. While other JR lines at Sendai are operated on AC, the Senseki line are operated on DC because the Miyagi Electric Railway, the predecessor of Senseki line, opened by DC electrified line. So the Senseki line is the only in the Tohoku Area and the northernmost DC electrified line of all JR lines. This is why DC commuter trains used around Tokyo such as 205 Series can be seen here. This time I took 4 trains arriving at and departing from Sendai station on the JR Senseki line. This movie includes “2 WAY Seat Car”, which can convert longitudinal seat into cross seat, and “Mangattan Liner” with a livery featuring Mr. Ishinomori Manga characters.
